'I Have Covered For All Of You!!' Check Out Who’s Plugging The Final 10 Episodes Of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA!!

Published at:  Nov 22, 2008 4:11:53 PM CST

SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!

Cally’s back??

Nicki Clyne, who played Cally Henderson Tyrol on “Battlestar Galactica” for three and a half seaons, is plugging the final 10 episodes of Ron Moore’s sci-fi epic on Canada’s The Space Channel.

Which I’m guessing means she’s going to be in the final 10 episodes, even though evil Cylon Tory Foster airlocked Cally back in April.

Certainly it makes sense that Cally might have some role in flashbacks, helping to tell husband Galen Tyrol’s complicated Cylon backstory.

But might she return in some other capacity as well? Would she be out plugging this thing if they just brought her back for one flashback episode?

The appearance:

Episode 4.11, “Sometimes A Great Notion,” hits America’s SciFi Channel Jan. 16.

that the final cylon is revealed as Adama's 'dead' son, Zak. How poetic would that be? Whomever it turns out to be, I am going to miss the Hell out of this show! Even the bad episodes were better than most of the TV I've seen lately (minus that Helo-centric episode last season. That just plain sucked!).

Actually, if that were the case, that would make their baby ten times more important than as Hera, because Cylons weren't able to reproduce. Then again, if Tigh and Six can have a child, I suppose it IS possible that Callie is the final Cylon. Hmmm.

Maybe the other actors are busy with other acting gigs. Plus, she's in Vancouver, so she's probably close to the Space studios. Space might not have the budget to fly any of the other actors in from LA.

    by tom cullen

As to why would she be plugging the final 10 episodes? Easy, because it's a job, and she doesn't have one any more. After all this is an actress who for the most part only had very minor "canadian walk on" guest starring roles pre-Galactica, and hasn't had a job since Galactica, so promos and the convention circuit roundabout help pay the bills I'd imagine. She's kinda like the BSG version of Chase Masterson, only less hot.

are in Toronto, and BSG is filmed in Vancouver, so they have access to all the cast at some point. Even though it is a bit of a trip, Canadian TV channels are able to fly across the country to get an interview. Its not like we're Antarctica. But it will be amusing when us Canadians see her in a frebreeze commercial or something lol

    RE: "The Boxing Episode"

    by mr. nice gaius

I still don't get why that episode is mentioned as some sort of nadir of the series. It's a good episode with some great character beats. My only complaint is that it didn't really "resolve" the Apollo/Starbuck relationship which, afterwards, got dragged out a little further than it should. As for "bad" episodes, I always thought BLACK MARKET and A DAY IN THE LIFE were the series' low points. But unlike other shows, BSG has always been capable of rebounding from its weaker episodes with remarkably strong and memorable ones.

well they reveal it but they don't quite explain it in the first episode that i saw. it's left as a major reveal cliffhanger, but it doesn't quite make sense in the frustrating way BSG has been doing all of their reveals since the end of season 3. they tell you who but not how or why(like they did with the other 4 and the return of starbuck or the finding of earth), so you're left once again with even more questions unanswered than when you started. It's amazing how Moore and company can keep doing that again and again and keep me watching.

    It's not really surprising.

    by jacksparasites

It's not that surprising that the actress would return considering that Tyrol is a Cylon and every other Cylon (and Baltar) has been known to have the occasional imaginary conversation with a loved one.

As for who the final might turn out to be, Xena said they weren't among the fleet. Assuming we can take her at her word, that means it's none of the regulars. Now a friend came up with an awesome suggestion as to who it could turn out to be. I don't know how it could possibly be explained but it seems like the character who'd bring about the optimal amount of drama in the optimal number of main characters would be if Zack turned out to be the final Cylon. think about it. He's not in the fleet and his return would fuck up Adama, Apollo, and Starbuck.

I see two general possibilities for Cally to appear in the last 10 somewhere:the obvious one has already been mentioned--flashback sequences. The other is a bit of a stretch, I think: they have hinted at reunions with loved ones after death (the ferry sequence) and the redefinition of what death actually means (hinted at endlessly from downloading to the Maelstrom), so there could be an element of death/reunion/death-was-not-the-end to the final episode. But I didn't take the promo bit here to be a given that Cally will appear at all.

Dirk Benedict. (As a new character, but it would still be kinda cool.) I do like the Zack idea a couple of posters have put out there. An idea that no-one has presented (as far as I know) is that Earth itself is the final Cylon. Not sayin' it's a great idea, but it's interesting to think about.
