SCRUBS Returns To Tuesdays!!
I am – Hercules!!
“Scrubs” is headed back to Tuesdays starting Jan. 6.
ABC says the sitcom will burn off four of its eigth-season episodes between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Jan. 6 and Jan. 13 before settling into the 9 p.m. on subsequent Tuesdays.
No word yet on what goes in that 9:30 p.m. slot on Jan. 20.
This is first season on ABC for “Scrubs,” which began life at 9:30 p.m. on NBC’s autumn 2001 Tuesday lineup. It moved to Thursdays for its second and third seasons, then back to Tuesdays for its fourth and fifth, then back to Thursdays for its sixth and seventh.
In its new ABC timeslot, "Scrubs" will compete against this season's two top-rated freshman shows, CBS' "The Mentalist" and Fox's "Fringe," as well as viewer-heavy "The Biggest Loser."
ABC also confirms “Life On Mars” will move to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays (following “Lost”) starting Jan. 28 and that "Private Practice" is going to 10 p.m. Thursdays (following "Grey's Anatomy") starting Dec. 11.
ABC increased "Mars'" first-season order today from 13 to 17 episodes.

The show is enjoyable.

or Bizarre Foods, or Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
-
looking for a check on the times...it says its burning 4 episodes in one hour.
-
Quite liking this version, though its still not as good at the original.
-
I guess the rest of the "Life on Mars isn't as good as the original" talkbackers will be along soon.
Just like with The Office talkbacks, it's inevitable. Like flies to honey. -
i should read until the punctuation mark now and again.
-
I really do like the US version, it's just that I've only seen four episodes so far compared to all 16 of the Brit version, and the first season of its spin-off Ashes to Ashes. I'm sure the US version is going to get even better as it goes along, its just early days so far.
-
is in a weird position. The network says it could be brought back for another season but everyone knows it isn't. It is a show that is being picked up due to Bill Lawrence's relationship with the Production company and the Network Execs. I'm a fan of Scrubs and am looking forward to the new season but i am worried about the quality since they are basicaly taking 7 episodes worth of story which what was left to shoot before the strike as the finale and turning it into an 18 episode season. That is 11 episodes of filler possibly.
-
Seriously though, stoked that this show is back. Finally. Hopefully ABC will let it wrap on things on its own terms.
How many episodes is Courtney Cox going to be in? -
heh heh...Hercules funny!!
-
You too, Herc. You know, I thought they would drop all these bombs on Friday....
-
WHEN will this awful unfunny show be put out of my misery? WHEN, Lord? When gonna be MY turn?
-
now i just hope those rumblings of "this could be like ER and keep going with new cast members" are just that, rumblings.... i was under the impression ABC were doing what NBC wouldnt, giving them the time to make a proper final season. lets hope thats still the plan and it doesnt change. 8 seasons is more than enough.
-
She got hot around season 4 - and hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter.... one of the hottest on tv.
-
on the Sopranos. wings taped that ass but good.
-
I swear I am laughing with you, not at you.
-
I'm a sucker for all the 80's-90's references, pop-rocks, poison, bel div devo, transformers, smurfs, CHIPS, loving Cheers, killing Brendan Fraiser, distain for Hugh Jackman, i can go on, this show is awesome
-
I dread the last episode with Dr. Cox leaving in a helicopter and seeing whatever sappy thing JD leaves spelled out in the parking lot as he cruises away on his scooter.

Oh, wait. They don't have one. Carry on.

Now it's okay-to-good. I'll still watch. (shrugs)

No contest, Scrubs is gonna win my interest every time. Fuck, what happened to good sitcoms like this? Now we've got "Worst Week" and "Kath & Kim", 2 of the worst sitcoms I've ever seen in my entire 33 years on this planet.
-
that's comical........I joke because I'm fat....sigh
-
You could really stretch it and say Green wing.........A Freaky show indeed.
-
over Scrubs??? Kath and Kim is a huge steaming pile of monkey dung...no wait... thats not quite fair to monkey dung. Glad to see Scrubs getting a proper final (so they say) season.
-
I just couldn't see it ending with that awful fairy tale episode last year. That was their worst episode ever.

passing on scrubs.
-
rest assured the writers agree. Bill Lawrence said the only way he'll do another season is if everyone involved in the creative aspects of the show agreed to work towards getting back to its early moods(a "serious" comedey) i'm hopeful.
-
Too funny!
-
..but it's got to end soon, It's probably the funniest non-animated comedy to come out of the States (and yes, I'm pissing all over Friends, good thought it was).
And a good shout for Green Wing there. Brits were first again.
-
..has Scrubs REALLY been going since 2001? Where does the time go...
Oh...and I forgot my duty there for a second. The original LOM was better. -
...but now it makes my brain hurt everytime I watch it. Please someone take this old dog out back and shoot it!
-
At the TV blog sepinwall.blogspot.com (a great site) there was both a review of the first two episodes and some notes from a Q&A involving the writers/producers of Scrubs. In the Q&A, the creator admitted that the show had gotten far too wacky in recent seasons and would be dialed back. The review claimed that they absolutely dialed back the zaniness, and that the episodes were some of the best in a long time. I for one am looking forward to it.
-
I'm just sayin'.
-
Seriously man. I set my PVR to record the 2 episodes on e4 every weekday. In fact I just caught up with Thursday's episodes not 10 minutes ago, they were the first 2 with Tara Reid as JD's girlfriend. Roll on the new season.

and some prime-primetime cleave..
