If There's A Second Season Of KNIGHT RIDER, Will The Hoff Return For Father/Son Adventures Of The Week??

John sent in a message from AFM (HERE), where a producer of the ANACONDA franchise discussed plans to realize further installments, and whether or not Hasselhoff would appear in them.
Here's what John had to say:
The producers of Sony's 2009 release Anaconda 4 (or whatever it was called) which stars David Hasselhoff said they're going to make more of them, but it won't star David.
He said that David will probably be too busy to do a 5th film in the series (he did 3 & 4 back to back) because he's returning to TV.
The plan for the next season of KNIGHT RIDER, says he, is for David Hasselhoff to be a regular on the show. He'd be teamed with his on-screen son Mike Tracer (Justin Bruening) to solve weekly adventures in the hopes that that boosts ratings. I wish them luck ;) resurrect Devon I say!
A few days ago, we heard that KNIGHT RIDER was shedding some stars & reshaping its format to better evoke the original series (details HERE). But, to the best of my knowledge, this is the first indication we've heard that The Hoff - a new series' "guest star" - would assume a substantially more prominent role should the ratings-challenged series continue past its existing full season order.

Knight Rider has no audience and is terrible but is being discussed for a second season while shows like Journeyman are cancelled is astounding. Pushing Daisies is a more fantastic show in every way and it looks like it'll be capped at 13 episodes this season. I wish I worked at a studio just so I could have someone explain to me exactly what the hell they are thinking about when they do things like this.

When I hear the great Sidney Poitier is fired from this piece of crap show I start to think I'm living in some Bizarro universe. As I recall this show tanked last season after 3 episodes and then tanked this year. Now they're talking another seasonl? Who's behind this and who's naked pictures does he own?

The Sydney Poitier on this show is the daughter of the great Sidney Poitier. A way to remember it, the one with the 'Y' in the name doesn't have a Y chromosome. <p> I actually think you know which Poitier is in this show and are having a joke with us. You are, aren't you?

I know I will be kill on the board for that, but I found KR entertaining...turn your brain off enjoy the hot chicks and roll with it...its way better than Heroes (was a fan now it bores me to death) and Prison Break (same deal)...I put KR in the same league as Chuck, fun entertainment but let your brain at the door, there are other shows for that :-)

is because of the popularity of the old Knight Rider they are willing to even think about doing this...but when they had a truly innovative show like Journeyman which was actually coming up with some intriguing storylines, it doesn't get a second chance. This is why I have really come to HATE the networks. They don't take chances anymore...they want to recycle everything just like Hollywood does with their movies.

When they started off the season, they "killed" off his identity and he formally adopted the name "Michael Knight" after mentioning that his father had used that name before and that his father's original name was Michael Long (which it was). That was the smartest thing they've done so far with the reboot prior to the next reboot. I would love to see The Hoff running the show as head of Knight Industries/Knight Research. And yes, I thought he was a good Nick Fury too...too bad that tv flick/backdoor pilot was so low-budget.

do we live in where a 90210 "the next generation of sorts"..gets a somewhat more decent treatment than our classic man and his trans tale???!! give the mustang to chuck bartowski...he'd be a much more fun person to watch tackle crime with a kitt 3000 AND it would be MEANT TO BE COMEDY!...plus we'd get to see more of "sara the hot piece of ass CIA agent."

That is how bad it is. I do not understand how NBC can cancel "My Own Worst Enemey" but keep the worst show on TV, Knight Rider, on the air. Someone close to KR must be giving some executive at NBC the best blowjobs of all time to keep this shit-fest on TV for 22 episodes. Maybe that model on the show (I don't know her name and don't really give a fuck) is screwing someone just to keep her job. The Bionic Woman was a better show that KR. Journeyman was better. Hell, Lipstick Jungle was better.

And there's not one mention of Clone Wars past the first episode. <p> I'm sorry, but Clone Wars is pretty damn good, and the last episode kicked ass. My imagination never thought a fight between R2-D2 and another astromech droid would be so cool. <p> I feel sorry for people who are so jaded that they can't enjoy Clone Wars as a fun weekly adventure series. <p> Coaxial keeps talking about Knight Rider- A show NOBODY LIKES and even NBC stars make fun of (Leno and Conan have both ragged on it) and still we can't get a talkback for one of the only decent adventure serials on television? Pfeh. <p> I bet if Joss Whedon went on record saying he liked Clone Wars, it would be covered here twice daily. If Whedon actually wrote an episode, we'd have to wade through a Hercgasm to get to the details. <p> Look. There's no Doctor Who or BSG or LOST right now. There's no Venture Bros. There's no Torchwood. There's nothing Star Trek on television. There's very little in the sci-fi, adventure, action genre available outside of Terminator and Heroes. Is this not a geek site? Where's the love for Star Wars?

Most of us were kids when the original show premiered over 20 years ago. A talking car is not amusing to GROWNUPS. We like Iron Man and Batman because the stories relate to who we are as adults now. Either make Knight Rider more grown up, or put that shit on Nickelodeon.
