I just hope there's more of a hook to the story and it's not just a relationship drama... in outer space.
-
..the writers to take whatever direction and character development they feel like? Sorry for being cynical but shades of Heroes or Lost.
-
Yeah....that makes me not want to watch this.
-
Defying Gravity is based on BBC docu-drama Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets, which is the most awesome space docu-drama ever made and it shows that you don't need an overly dramatized story to make this kind of thing interesting to watch. If Voyage to the Planets was a movie it would probably be one of my all time favorites, it’s that good. But you need to watch to original BBC version, not the re-edited US version.

Wasn't Ron Moore doing something like this?

Damn you, subject line limits

He's one of the most criminally underrated actors in the game

Hmm.

Why, oh god why, is this not getting more attention.
First Reagan now W.
Please, please tell me there are no more out there. I would hate a brother to play Poppy, or a black illegitimate child as Barky. -
...space sex scenes alert!

They should cut out that pesky "We'll air it for 6 episodes, (which is just enough to build a fanbase), then cancel it" phase and just give everybody involved with this project a paycheck to walk away. No harm, no foul. Fox gets to not air a sci-fi show, the actors get paid, and the fans don't get let down. Sound like a win-win for everybody involved.
-
They're adapting Wicked to be a tv show?
-
Virtuality, or whatever. And for that matter, when's Caprica airing? Anyone know?
-
He's all kinds of good, but even as a sci-fi fan, this sounds remarkably boring.
-
Must have been an easy pitch.....
-
Ugh. I hope it's more than that, because a near future realistic space exploration show could be very cool, if taken seriously. Is it just me, or has the time arrived for some more realistic sci-fi? That's the only thing that bothers me about Fringe, they take a show about a mad scientist, and then completely ignore the laws of physics (how much would they have to pay a grad student to point out the horrendously unrealistic plot points, like someone growing from baby to adult size in minutes with no outside mass?). But we're talking Fox here, so even if it was a cool idea, they'll bastardize it, then cancel it just as people finally start watching. It'll probably be the 9pm Friday night replacement for Dollhouse once that get canceled.
-
Is it just me or does it look like the young Adama is completely checking out Thrace's rack? Not that I have a problem with this, mind you, just thought it was funny to have on the DVD box.
-
Apparently they're adding a holodeck though
-
is it real? otherwise, it's not a docu-anything
-
She is a handsome woman with a very sexy voice.
-
Especially Zapp branigan.

sorry, but i bought T2 on vhs and dvd. then the limited edition metal tin and then the ULTIMATE edition BLACK metal tin. this film is rereleased more frequently than star wars for crying out loud. what could the EXTREME edition feature that the others failed to include? i mean what could it possibly possibly possibly havce to offer?
-
A case of Mountain Dew, of course. TO THE EXTREME!
-
From Band Of Brothers and Office Space? Or is it because this is Coaxial you use his TV credits? If that is the case Band Of Brothers still works.
-
Ron is a cool dude, we all like seeing him on screen. Office Space ruled. These days though, unfortunately for us intelligent people, they'll get more ratings with a lame ass over dramatic space space soap. Star trek ruined it for everyone. I just don't see it happening again anytime soon. "It" being a cool space exploration T.V. show that everyone will like and last more than just one season. So instead, we're going to get some stupid drama that could take place in a cave.
-
A better transfer of the film than was found on previous releases, an audio commentary track by James Cameron, and a second disc with a WMV-HD copy of the film (T2:EE predates HD-DVD and BLU-Ray so having the film in HD in any form whatsoever was something of a novelty at the time).

The last thing I heard was that Virtuality is airing as a two hour tv movie/backdoor pilot on FOX this January. There's supposed to be webisodes too.
Originally Caprica was going to air as a tv movie/backdoor pilot on SciFi around this time. Then Universal had a press release saying the pilot was so good that they make go right to series instead of the backdoor pilot process. They said if they did this it would delay Caprica until the 2009-2010 season.
There hasn't been an update since. My guess is that Caprica will debut with Stargate: Universe in fall '09. -

She is sexy as hell.
I agree that Ron Livingston should be a superstar by now. Whats the deal with that? -

the star of one of the best comedies ever made should be fittingly referred. but knowing herc, he's sticking to the tv theme. clever clever.
-
Earth 2? Or Seaquest? Or a series based on Ice Pirates?
You know it'll happen sooner or later.
But regarding Gravity - just as long as the crew is more believable than those on the Icarus 2 in Sunshine (won't be hard), it might be worth a look. -
Loving Lee's not-even-trying-to-hide-it ogling of Starbuck's rack!

Where's the Re-imagining of that classic?
-
With more theme park experience.

Eight models will ogle each other in the close confines of the dorm/office/spaceship.
Unless there was a deletion in the story about bringing in top science-fiction talent to run the series? No, didn't think so.
Next comes the exciting news that some chick writing "Grey's Anatomy" will bring her sappy sludge aboard. -
A docu-drama... is drama based on real events which can feature either real people or actors who look like the people they are playing. A good example of this touching the void. or one day in september. drama docs can feature interviews with people who were there when a certain event takes place and can be bolstered by dramatised version of those real events.
