Weinstein To Distribute Cheech & Chong’s LIGHT UP AMERICA!!
I am – Hercules!!
The Weinstein Company has agreed to distribute a concert documentary following 62-year-old Cheech Marin & 70-year-old Tommy Chong’s “Light Up America” tour. Whether the company is distributing it to cinemas or TV has not yet been decided.
It’ll be the duo’s first movie together since 1990’s “Far Out Man.”

got really good reviews so maybe the show isnt as weird and cringe worthy as it seems it would be. granted reviews mean nothing but just saying, the tour was apparently succesful.

Saw them 11/1 in Dallas. Was good to see them for old times sake, & I'd never seen them live before. Laughed my a$$ off some, but got tired of their frequent anti-Bush policital rants in the show. Show was too short, only 60-65 minutes. Wish they'd skipped the 30 minute Shelby Chong opening stand-up act & given us more C&C.

I suspect the guys were guzzling down reefer and improvising "dialogue" (Pee-Wee Herman is really annoying in his appearances). Whenever I'm stoned past midnight (chronic insomnia), I prefer 12 OZ. MOUSE or whatever is on Adult Swim...exempting TIM & ERIC (SHITTY SHOW), they suck with a capital "S".

The weinsteins are about as relevant as their precious fuckin Shakespeare In Love at this point. Pineapple Express does as well as it does in theatres and these two washed up old farts is the best they can come up with? Give me a break.
