Walton Goggins, whose character Shane Vendrell just finished six years as a member of Vic Mackey’s strike team on “The Shield,” is attached to a proposed new series in development at AMC. The pilot script for "Rectify" was written by actor Ray McKinnon, perhaps best known for his role as Reverend Smith on “Deadwood.” McKinnon won an Oscar for “The Accountant,” a short he wrote, directed and starred in with Goggins. Goggins would play a former prisoner who ends his long incarceration thanks to DNA evidence. Find all of Variety’s story on the matter here.
