L. Frank Is Da Baum!! SANTA CLAUS Origin Story Targeted For Adaptation...

Merrick here...
Yesterday we learned that John Boorman was angling towards directing a CGI adaptation of L. Frank Baum's THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ. You can find more details on the matter HERE. Now comes word that his book THE LIFE AND ADVENTURES OF SANTA CLAUS will receive similar treatment. For those unfamiliar with the book (which can be downloaded for free HERE or HERE), this is literally an origin story - Baum's take on how Santa Claus came to be, why certain Christmas traditions are the way they are, and so forth. But, as with many things Baum, it's not as simple as it seems at face value.
Story follows Santa's formative years, including a battle against the heart of evil that establishes the Santa mythology.
