ABC In Talks To Pick Up Fox's KING OF THE HILL??

ABC, slated to debut Mike Judge’s new animated sitcom “The Goode Family” at midseason, is reportedly in talks with Fox’s TV production arm to air new episodes of Judge’s old series, “King of The Hill.”
The Fox network announced last week it was cancelling “Hill” following its current, 13th season.
Ratings are still good for "King" but the Judge series (unlike "South Park") still has a nine-month lag between script and air.

King of the Hill has a lot of stories left to tell. Why not pick it up for the 09/10 season? Seems logical to me, and it does not suck like Scrubs. HIYOOOO!!!

weren't they picking up scrubs from NBC too? abc is taking everyone's leftovers/sloppy seconds. i guess like alot of people, i respect the heck out of king of the hill, but i just haven't caught it in a long while.

It's one of those shows I don't care about most of the time, but I'll watch an episode an love it if I happen to catch it. And I like knowing it's still out there, though I don't like how Dale has changed.

not to knock the show but how can it take 9 months when simpsons does it in 6 or less? i mean king of the hill is pretty simple animation compared to simpsons.

ABC almost canned it before it even aired! Anyone watched the dvds of it? The commentaries are funnier and more interesting than the cartoon. They talk about a lot of behind the scene stuff, Kevin Smith keeps bitching at everybody at ABC and Disney, and at Family Guy too because they were still on the air and not Clerks.

thirteen seasons is a good run. They should all pop open a bottle of champaigne and pat themselves on the back for a job well done, and then thank the gods they didn't end up like The Simpsons.

King of the Hill is one of those underappreciated gems that gets little press until FOX decides to pull its plug after 13 years. I applaud ABC if they decide to pick up this show.

back in the day when The Simpsons were the rage, and networks said "Cartoons are a hit! Put something on the schedule!" Silly, silly networks.Maybe Fox can pick up Pushing Daisies. Oh right, they'd cancel it after one airing.

Probably a revival of MY MOTHER, THE CAR. Every series on the network (including the overhyped 30 ROCK) is six feet under. Hype notwithstanding, 30 ROCK is still third in its time period. Guess the public hasn't much affection for an abusive father and an egocentric ice princess.

Make it so! If "King of the Hill" is saved, so is the Western animation. (Well, executing Seth MacFarlane would help, too.)

If you want a potentially great movie fucked up, or you need a television show that's actually worth watching cancelled, or you want severely biased (and utter bullshit) media coverage, FOX is definitely your go-to guy.

One week its a silly comedy about a bunch of texas hillibillys, and the next week, Hank's boss is trying to cover up the discovery of his dead hooker in the dumpster of his wife's restaurant.

I feel like my life slows to crawl every time that show is on. Im sorry, I just don't see the humor. Daria sucked even more.
