Strangely enough, a crazy Shelly Winters does not fill me with delight.

Quint, you ever seen Vincent Price's 'Theatre of Blood'? A film that's purely for Price's performance is captivating in the sense of dreaming what it would of been like to see a production of Macbeth or Lear with Price at the helm. Just have to try really hard to ignore how obvious Diane Rigg's secret identity is. Anyway, great review. I'm tempted to go out & buy this with a copy of "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane" for tonight, kudos for referencing my fave childhood disney film that wasn't the Sword In The Stone

Quint seen that? If not, add it to the list. Great great Michael Caine classic. Ignore the Jude Law remake.

You forgot to mention Lionel Jeffries, the inventor in Haryyhausen's First Men In The Moon. A wonderful fantasy, and Ray's first film in widescreen.<p>Shelly Winters acting crazy may be too much scenery chewing for me to take. The lady seemed to have a screw loose just to hear her speak as herself.

...and Audrey Hepburn makes me say "Yes, Yes" in my No-No place. That is all.

The scene toward the end with Alan Arkin is classic stuff.

on a local (pre-Fox) channel. Strange movie. Those sunday afternoon movies were bizarre ("Butterflies are Free", etc.)
