At least it's still funny. South Park is at it's best though when Randy Marsh, Cartman and Butters take center stage.
-
count me in!
-
And tonight looks to continue that trend. Bring on Randy Marsh!
-
I agree. Randy has become the best character in recent seasons.
-
Butters is the best character. Too much like my childhood, alas... I was such the naive wussy boy (with plans to take over the earth).
-
it was Kyle's dad, Gerald. Randy just let us know he's been there before by sadly remarking at the end, "yeah, and you never get a good look at her naked boobs anyways..." but yes, randy is by far the best character.
hot hot hot hot hot hot! -
take the stage. Good things come in small doses, guys. Focus needs to be on the FOUR boys as a group.
-
randy is great because they dont use him TOO much. and anyone want to take any guesses as to what the pandemic is? trying to think what they're recruiting for that takes no talent. could it be reality tv?
-
awwww hamburgers!
-
Go Rays!
-
Damn! She got the Peter Galagher eyebrow gene!
-
Go Rays!
-
Best Character Ever.
STAAAAN. STAAAAAAN. -
Is the best character on the show. I mean, that's of course to exclude Cartman, because when you look at the big picture, Cartman is sort of in a league of his own. But yeah, Stan's dad embodies almost everything that is funny about South Park.
Indy episode: meh. Wendy vs. Cartman: hilarious. Tonight appears promising, but so did an episode about Britney Spears once upon a time... -
Except for Indiana Jones being raped by George Lucas and Steven Speilberg.

Will Smith Seeks Scientology To Cure His Homosexuality?
An anonymous Hollywood Madame claims she provided male prostitute services to actor Will Smith for years, before she moved her business to New York.
“I had to reassure him over and over that I could guarantee discretion. Once I convinced him I could, he placed his order,” the Madame explained.
“It was for a man. I had 14 women working for me and two guys.”
“You’d be surprised at how many Hollywood stars requested the services of the guys,” she added.
I don’t know if we should believe this anonymous source since she has absolutely no proof of her claims, but Will always set off my gaydar somehow…
Will Smith is married to actress Jada Pinkett Smith and they have two kids together, Jaden and Willow. Will recently joined Scientology and he is best friends with creepy Tom Cruise, who is probably trying to cure his homosexuality with the help of some freaky ritual (Dianetics therapy… I do not make this stuff up!!). -
That would be cool.
Big fucking closet though. -
Butters saved Imaginationland.
Butters got to shoot people in the dick, which was fucking awesome take on the noob grabbing a gun for the first time.
Butters parents almost killed him.
Butters was a mad comic book villian.
Butters da man bitches! -
Not like he hasn't done that before.
-
but they decided somewhere along the line that they could get more mileage outta him crying than cooking people i guess.
-
They have to be whether they like it or not It's part of the initiation. The bigwigs put on silk robes, lead you into a secret room in the Roosevelt Hotel, and then David Geffen jumps out of a closet and plows your ass until his cock touches your brain. And then BAM you're a star. I thought everyone knew this.
-
Hmm not sure if this will be funny or not.
-
Oh my gosh i cant believe the show just took this turn
-
That was a lot of fun :-D
-
And Craig is my new favorite.
-
They eat guinea pigs down there, right? The live action peogs were too funny. And the reference to one of Kyle's "friends" being raped down there was hilarious.
-
Probably has something to do with his own pet guinea pig... in Tweek Vs. Craig he's shown to be very protective/enthusiastic about them. Wonder if there will be a part 2.
-
LOL!
-
what a fucking primadonna
-
If there is a part two (and I'm very skeptical about that) than we saw the seeds of a potentially classic SP adventure. If this was just a diverting exercise in silliness though, than the whole thing is just like the "Sexy Action News" ep: one big joke about how hard Trey is finding it to think of new ideas each week.
-
was this episode any good? haven't seen it yet and need/want to know if its worth watching as soon as possible.....as sometimes SP can be.
and that election episode may just be a MONSTER. Think about it. They seem to have one a season now, and unfortunately seasons are short for this show. -
...they don't continue it next week and move on to something entirely different.
-
Very good visual work on end of ep. I thought it was weird Stan using that camcorder throughout the ep. Lot's of Cloverfield visuals. Not a bad ep and good reason for a two parter. I thought Craig was the middle finger kid? He never did it. Might be the payoff for next ep.

Craig jumps a few spots in the Favorite Supporting Characters po
by spyguy
"You know this is why nobody likes you guys, right?" FTW...
Oh, and the subtle "Indy was raped" reset was stellar as well. Bring on Part Deux!
-
I'm assuming the alien tongue-brain sucker was a Species reference?
-
....AWFUL. This is the first time I didn't laugh at a South Park episode. This episode sucked hard. A Cloverfield reference? That would have been topical last year. Peruvians? WTF? Craig was the only entertaining part. He's now my second favorite after Butters.
-
What a sad state of affairs. I suspect that the people who still think South Park is funny are the same people who still laugh at the Simpsons. South Park hasn't been even remotely chuckle-inducing since season 8. It's now become off topic, unfunny, boring, and irrelevant. It's a parody of its self at this point. Irreverent to irrelevant.. just like the Simpsons. Sad.
-
So a Cloverfield reference would have been topical before the movie was, you know, released? Seriously? That's like saying movies about 9/11 would be topical during the Clinton administration.
-
I really didn't like the Indy episode. No pun intended, but it was pretty hamfisted. Last week's episode with Wendy was better, but not great. This week? I ended up shutting off the TV and playing on the Internet half-way through the episode AND I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE IT. I do that for normal TV. I've never done that for South Park. This does not bode well. At least Lost returns in a few months.
-
Topical? Hardly. I'm starting to think an episode on the US election may not actually happen this year.
-
I meant when Cloverfield was released it would have been topical. I don't remember when that was. I was being sarcastic and implying that it has been a while. Sorry. Next time I will be more accurate. (No I won't, that was sarcasm too)
-
The Indy rape line was funny, but that was pretty much it. I can't imagine why they thought this needed to be a two parter. Usually bad episodes involve bad jokes. This ep didn't even have jokes, much less bad ones. I'm even laughing more at family guy, and that's suppose to be written by manatees. They must be dumping mercury into the Hollywood water supply this year.
-
I see it as a joke on all cam movies like that. Blair witch, cloverfield, diary of the dead and Quarantine. not to mention all of the youtube vids out there.
but it was pretty funny
there are like 6 pan flute bands around seattle every weekend. now i know why -
No Herc, Kenny and GERALD...i.e. the two worst characters on the show. Ergo, the worst episode ever. I LOVE this show and LOVED Season 11 through and through, but season 12 has Canada, On Strike! and Super Fun Time. 2/10 so far. Although the rape scenes really were funny, albeit disturbing.
-
Aside from Clyde's lines, which were amazing because they were so monotone, I thought the episode was kind of weak and ambling, but when the Cloverfield shit happened and that total WTF ending, I started to really dig it and look forward to next week. Mostly because the 2-parter totally snuck up on you. But, yeah, that was kind of a drag for most of the time, but it was worth it for all the stuff with Clyde and the ending.

Since when did movie references have a statute of limitations?
by spyguy
Sorry, Kevin Smith, FAMILY GUY and ROBOT CHICKEN, but all those STAR WARS jokes aren't topical anymore. You'll have to settle for DARK KNIGHT jokes instead.
At least until next year, apparently.

One Joke Repeated Ad Nauseum, Cartman Talks Funny, The End
by laserpants
I know this is what happened, and I haven't even watched the show in years. Am I wrong?
-
Time to start watching again.
-
They're right, those Peruvian Flute Bands are everywhere. In Burbank they're at the mall every other week right next to the Scientology stress test. Warding off giant guinea pigs makes sense seeing how they can't possibly be there because people actually buy the music.
-
I've watched all of the episodes listed above, but it seems like we'd go months between episodes... so is this season, like, 3 years long?
-
A Cloverfield parody? C'mon.
-
Part II, better make with the funny.
