Let's see them get the chefing side of it right.

Coming from that world it's painful to watch badly done cooking scenarios. Other than that these guys should be a hoot.

He has 2 ladies that help him out on his show Throwdown and keep him in line. Sounds like a funny concept.

Bee is Worst Part of The Daily Show

    by brock samson

Jones is pretty funny, but Samantha Bee is a the current weak link on The Daily Show. Of course, she's been the week link for over 5 years now. Hopefully this will get her off the show.

    Bee is just fine

    by frozen01

If she can manage to keep from getting pregnant for five minutes, she's not that bad.
I loved that bit with the new girl on TDS (can't remember her name) who took over the desk when Jon "ran away", and then Bee comes in and throws a hissy fit because "she has more experience" and should be running the show, in a parallel to Hillary Clinton's supporter's reaction to Obama getting the nomination. That was hilarious.

    Plot

    by frozen01

Oh, and they don't give many details, but I'd say the show could go either way. One word kills it for me, though: Sitcom. Did you ever see that sitcom Rob Corddry did? Don't remember what it was called, but it was about this older guy who was practically a professional momma's boy and was getting life lessons from a 9 year old. One of the stupidest shows I've ever seen. I'm guessing this show will be better, but I can't imagine it really being that funny.

    Bee and Jones

    by oisin5199

Samantha Bee did grow on me, though I wasn't crazy about her at first, and Jones can be good when he reins in the obnoxiousness. The best on the show right are John Oliver and Aasif Mandvi. So I wonder who they'll replace them with. Frozen01, the woman you're referring to is Kristen Schaal, and it's funny how most of her segments are high-concept pieces, since she has a background of performance art - and I should know, she was a student of mine years ago, back when I was a grad school newbie teaching theatre. I always thought she was really talented, in a Lucille Ball kinda way.

I sense a guest star oppotunity for Steve Carrel.

    BAM!

    by aboriginal

Emeril Lagasse & Bob Urich 10 years or so ago did this when the Food Channel was just kickin' off across a broader market. Lasted about . . . 4-5 episodes and got yanked hard. Will this succeed? BAM!
