See Which Presidential Candidate Homer Simpson Votes For...And What Happens When He Does!!

Published at:  Oct 02, 2008 6:48:12 PM CDT

Merrick here...

If I understand correctly, this SIMPSONS footage was leaked...disappeared...then re-leaked...and will probably be re-disappeared. So, enjoy it while it lasts.

Will the same thing happen to anyone else who casts the same vote? Is the installation of the milfily desirable but utterly insane Palin as certain as the rising of the sun?

    Republicans HAVE to cheat

    by snowpuff

Because what they're doing is right... but in order to make it right they have to do something wrong... but it's okay because they know they're right.

So if Democrats do it, they're WRONG, because they were wrong to begin with. But if Republicans do it, they're right, but also they have to LIE because then they couldn't do the right thing by doing the wrong thing.

    Right?

Really? Saying someone is inexperienced is one thing. But are you really going to call her insane? Nothing she's said really makes her come across as crazy. Why not just call her Hitler while you're at it? I hate when people on either side demonize a person like that.

Remember when Herc said this site was always political because it always cover debates? So the people bitching about politics on this site should shut up? How do you justify a statement like this: "Is the installation of the milfily desirable but utterly insane Palin as certain as the rising of the sun? " I'm probably gonna vote for obama but comments like these take away from intelligent debate and conversation.

Yeah! How dare AICN share their opinions on things that aren't movie-related! How dare they exercise the same right that... you know... talkbackers abuse every day. It's their site. They can post whatever they want. If I didn't want to read political stories, I wouldn't click on the stories THAT HAVE OVERTLY POLITICAL TITLES! It's not like the title of this article was "Leaked Watchmen Footage!" andit turned out to be a funny political cartoon instead. And nobody forced you to click on the link. Just like nobody's forcing me to take what you negative douchebags are saying with anything more than a grain of salt.

    Oh, and ColWTH...

    by bunksteve

Trying to be as fair and non-partisan as I can be (Which is pretty easy since I have no affinity for either party), I did some research on your ACORN claims, because I think it's an important topic. Who's to say that Bush is the only person to tamper with votes? But the funny thing is... I found articles about the indictments... from 2004. And as far as I can tell, Obama is a member of ACORN... but was never indicted for counts of voter tampering. Now what it sounds like to me is that you hate Obama, and you're just looking for any little crack in his facade. But essentially what you're saying is: Because Obama has ties to an organization who has committed criminal deeds, that makes Obama a criminal. So... you believe in guilt by proximity then? Because you haven't backed up any of your insane claims with facts, links, footnoted index cards with Hello Kitty stickers on them. Nothing. So please provide us with some evidence to prove your "guilt-by-proximity" claims or get the fuck off the board. Oh... and right-wing blogs don't count. I once wrote a blog entry about Bigfoot. Didn't make it true.

    Logic Bomb

    by shan

The United States during the history of its existence has committed some crimes against other nations of the world. American citizens are citizens of the US. Therefore American citizens are criminals.

    by catlettuce4

The media have completely lost even the pretense of objectivity this time around, demonizing McCain and throwing their open support, be it on the news or in sitcoms, behind their glorious personal Jesus. Meanwhile you have the Obama campaign threatening critics with fines and jail for "lies" and groups of kids being taught to sing hymms to their new holy leader, ala Mao or Castro. Not to mention likely voter fraud from ACORN and other Obama affiliated groups. There is something truly scary about a candidate engendering this much "cult of personality" and who already, for all intents and purposes, has taken control of the media.

The fact that the media is favoring Obama...

    by mefrog

...doesn't change the fact that the McCain group has been running one of the sleaziest campaigns in history. Seriously. Biden suggests that Palin support stem-cell research to help out her down syndrome child and they blast back to the media that Biden made a personal assault on her family? WTF?

And I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Sarah Palin supported legislation when she was mayor that would have women who were raped pay for their rape kits. I think that's all that needs to be said about her.

    Well, Shan

    by gaiusthebrave

that only works if 1) the US was committing those crimes while you were a citizen, 2) you were aware of those criminal acts at the time and 3) you could have stopped the US from committing those crimes. Also, it is the US GOVERNMENT that commits the crimes, so you'd have to be a member of the US government (with the three qualifications above) to fit the comparison. And, following all that, you would be guilty. If you're unsure, then simply join a gang and become aware of some illegal action they're taking, have taken (if you can find proof) or will take, and see what happens to you if they get caught and it's discovered that you knew all about it. It's called conspiracy. Let's say none of those apply. Well, if I am friends or associates with a former head of the KKK who hasn't apologized for his past (just an example I pulled out the air, not an accusation against anyone)then it's still just plain bad taste on my part.

There you guys can all talk about how the WMDs were moved to Syria, and how all of the damage done to this nation in the last 8 years is the Democrats fault, while you listen and believe your sweet lies. Just stop being suprised by differing opinions when you do emerge from your lair. YOU ARE THE MINORITY. The average IQ is 100, and most people stop believeing liars after the 4-5th huge lie has been exposed. If you feel lonely, you can log off and go hang out at the senior center.

    by yomomma

I also don't understand the level of fear about Obama. You keep saying he's a scoialist, but Bush is the one nationalizing all these banks. On the flip side, I don't understand the fear about McCain either. They're both milquetoaste centrists with Wall Street's interests at heart. Take a break from your fevered paranoia about a black president comming to your home to take your guns and plasma screen and read their positions. There is very little actual difference, espescially given the challenges we face. The one difference is abortion, and as a married man, I could care less. In fact nothing would move the electorate left like overturing RoevWade, so I doubt that the GOP will ever gain any serious traction on the issue. Maybe it's time we put aside the little shit they keep dividing us with, and demand our government addresses the serious issues we face?

    by matineer

But whichever guy gets in, they're going to keep many of the same policies in place. The rhetoric is different, little else. Homer's vote doesn't turn me off that much, but it's not fair to folks who mind Homer taking such a stand. It's like the book that came out saying "Superman is a Republican." Because the writer decided he was. Demonizing the other party is silly, but at this point they are so alike they can do little else.
