Robert Duvall, who starred in AMC’s hit miniseries “Broken Trail,” is reteaming with the channel for a proposed ongoing drama series about the Pony Express written by Erik Jendresen ("Band of Brothers").

Richard Donner (“Timeline,” “16 Blocks”) will helm the pilot, his first TV directorial effort since a 1992 episode of “Tales From The Crypt.”
