Rumors swirling around SCREAM 3!
Hey there Captain Readers, Mesa Back.... Tis demunded by de God tis... Sorry, flashbacks... Anyway, Harry here with a few tidbits from the magical Megan, who runs numerous SCREAM and Kevin Williamson related sites. (Links below) And she just mailed in this big ol hunk of rumor about the upcoming SCREAM 3. Now, if any of it is true, there would be items considered to be SPOILERS... However on the otherhand... Knowing from many conversations with various Miramax folks about their handling of rumors from SCREAM 2... There will be TONS OF MISINFORMATION about this film to try to throw everyone about 5 kilometers away from the actual coarse of production. So take it all with a big long lick of the Salt Flats.... But here ya go....
Hi Harry!
I've been a visitor of your site for ages. It was thanks to you
that I was an extra in The Faculty. So thanks! :)
Now to the point, I am the webmaster of scr3am.net and kevinwilliamson.com
Today I received an email from a seemingly reliable source who
provided me with some information and rumors that haven't been
said before. Some of which are potential minor spoilers. This
source claims to have contacts close to the production, so we get
a few peeks into some things that haven't been announced.
Here we go:
First off, he told me a bit about the Kruger/Williamson
controversy. Apparently Kruger came in in the beginning of June
to help lighten Kevin's work load. Kevin wrote the beginning and
ending first, so Ehren only needed to write the middle portion of
the film, which Kevin then made extensive rewrites of. He (Kevin)
also insisted he be given writing credit when the movie is
released.
This scooper really admires Kruger as a writer and says that the
script is more funny than it is scary, however it's also more of
a psychological thriller (which I hear Kruger is very good at).
The entire script has been seen by no one around the production,
only bits and pieces. One scene in particular impressed this
source which involves Sidney in a very dramatic scene. Word has
it it might be cut, but that hasn't been decided yet. Personally,
it sounds like a great scene and I hope it remains in the film.
It is a minor spoiler, but the scene is said to have Sidney
considering suicide.
Kruger wrote an excellent speech for Sidney to give during this
scene, where she contemplates what's real and what isn't, and how
she feels she is just watching her life rather than living it.
Speaking of cut scenes, only one is said to have been cut due to
the recent school shootings. A particular scene took place in a
school, only with knives as opposed to guns. It is said to have
been very disturbing and was in good taste that it was removed.
As we know, the killers in Scream 2 weren't revealed to even the
cast members until the last few days of shooting. That is likely
to happen again especially considering the killer(s) haven't been
decided on yet.
The cast is allegedly almost in place, though who exactly the
cast is is being kept quiet. One person mentioned is a name I
haven't heard tied to this film before and that is Anne Heche. It
is said she might be up for a part that is similar to Gale:
possibly a reporter on the set of Gale's new movie (which,
incidentally might not be Stab 2). Heche appeared in I Know What
You Did... so it might not be completely unheard of for her to
have a role in this one. A little more was said about Heche in
particular being relevant to the role. **possible minor spoiler**
It said her character would be killed in a similar fashion to her
role in Psycho. Which is why they would want Anne in particular.
As far as the rest of the cast goes, don't expect as many tv
stars as have been predicted. Especially those of Dawson's Creek
and Felicity. However, those of Buffy don't seem to have been
ruled out yet.
Alicia Silverstone is apparently still being courted for a role,
but she has made it clear to the studio that she will have no
part in it.
HARRY NOTE: I'd pay good money repeatedly to see Alicia Silverstone slashed to hell in SCREAM 3... Damn BATMAN & ROBIN... it's healthy I tell ya!
The two other most popular names that have been linked to the
film are Heather Graham and Ben Affleck. This source tells me
they wont have a major role in the film. Note the word "major."
There is apparently room for plenty of celebrity cameos seeing as
the setting is LA. In addition, it is said to be a bit of a
satire on Hollywood itself.
Roger Jackson is indeed returning and he says he likes his part.
It looks like he might have a stronger presence this time, in
more ways than one.
And now for the most surprising piece of information from this
email, he says that one scene has already been filmed. If that's
true, it just goes to show exactly how tight production has been
and will continue to be. Personally, I am very pleased to hear
that. Hopefully they'll continue to be more successful with
protecting this film than they were with Scream 2.
Back to Ehren Kruger for a moment, I also received an email from
a resident of Belgium. Here is what he had to say about Arlington
Road:
"I saw it about 3 months ago, I can tell you that it was a great
movie. Good acting, very good story and a great unexpected
ending... A good thriller in a Hitchcock way. You get a very
claustrophobic feeling while watching the movie.
Don't worry my fellow Americans, Scream 3 will rise above your
expectations."
Hope you can use some of this. Take care!

I can't wait for SCREAM 3. I like that I never know who did it in the SCREAM movies. And GLEN, where the HELL is the CRUSADE "The Well of Forever" Talkback??? I hope you haven't disappointed me. Actually, I'm already disappointed because it's not up NOW, but you can make it up to me by putting it up ASAP. If not, I regret that I'll not be visiting this site anymore. I've respected this place as a bastion of open talk, but if that is no longer the case, I guess it's time I got a life and moved on.
Lates! -
Who cares about this film? Not me. That is unless they make it a prequel so that Randy can be in it. This series is a piece of shit, no matter how you slice it!!!
-
To me, the Scream films are entertaining and slick enough to be worth watching but the series needs an injection of originality because of all the recent clones. In the light of this, I'm concerned about the plot device I've heard (more riffing on films within the film but this time with Sidney in the cast) as this is getting just a bit boring. These post-modern shenanigans have already been used by Craven in New Nightmare and Scream 2 and also form the basis of the next Chucky film. btw after years of frustration waiting for movies to cross the Atlantic, I've finally found a film related advantage to being British. The only competition for early spots on the talkback is nightcrawlers and AICN obsessives.
-
They fucked up with 2 (killing Randy, the killers were predictable) and Williamson is a hack, anyway. Hey, teen angst, with a few postmodern references to fave sci-fi and horror movies! Oh, and make sure everybody's lily-white in this pseudo-John Hughes world. Crap, crap, crap.
-
...that it will easily suck as badly as those first two pieces of crap. False prophets the whole lot of em...hopefully BLAIRWITCH will be our humble righteous leader into the promised land of the hardcore, real time horror of old.
-
yes i enjoyed the first scream and thought scream 2 was good, it had some cool scenes but, even though some people think it is crumbling the horror genre as it attempts to bring it back, say what you will, its your own opinions, but my point is in this article it said that the movie is more funny than scary, alls im saying is : don't do that, it can be as funny as you want, but dont surpass the scariness and goriness with comedy, its a horror film, keep it that way.
-
The 80's was a decade crammed full of this kind of slasher crap, I did'nt like it then & I like it even less now. Where's the entertainment in seeing teenage Americans hacked to death by an anonymous maniac? No wonder the USA is creating homicidal schoolkids. Scream was promoted as a pastiche of the genre in an attempt to intalectualise & condone it, but it was'nt a pastiche at all, just a lame director up to his lame old tricks again. I fell asleep 15 minutes into the film, so did everone else in the room. A tired idea can't be strung out into a third decade. surely not!
-
It could work. The reason I like the SCREAM films is because it's a celebrity oriented snuff flick series. If they could somehow get Will Smith and Uma Thurman and the entire cast of "Friends" to die in the first scene, I would buy ten copies and see it 50 times!!!
I like the idea of taking it in a more dramatic direction, if Neve Campbell is good as anything other than a pin cushion, it's drama.
Personally, I'd like to see Sidney die, but that's just me. They're going to milk this series into the ground and killing Sidney is the only way to have a decent starting point for a new series.
Randy is dead, Gail and Dewey have their own thing, there's nothing stopping this series from being an outlet for enterprising young directors to explore horror with a built in fan base after Craven and Willamson fuck off to their own, more respectable projects.
If it's handled right, (More or less to the degree of "ELM STREET") it could be something interesting.
But, it's teen horror. They'll fuck it up, mark my words. -
is that these posters, whoever they are, send their shtick out to multiples sights (i had already read this exact post on coming attractions). So this means, #1 I am too obsessed about films, #2 it's possible that (as Barry Sonnenfeld outright said) many of these posts are bunk and are sent in by "anonymous" studio folk, #3 see #2, #4 it's too early in the morning and I can't think of any other points.

by captainberryman
Let us mourn Randy. Scream 2 was a giant hairy shit ball. It telegraphed who the killers were...Hell, Mickey freaking disappeared halfway through the damn movie! But don't bitch when someone says they won't see it because Randy isn't there... for alot of us the Scream Dream died when Randy bought it. Randy was like family. Hell, if I hadn't been trapped into my seat by large people on either side of me I'd have gotten up and left. Randy's dead, I have no excuse to watch Scream 3. And Jim... you've got something brown on your nose from having it up Alicia Silverstone's arse. And wipe that little bit of Williamson off your chin... it's just not appealing. End Transmission.
-
That was the problem with Scream 2, it descended into a tired trip of "who's gonna die next." That is too predictable! The first one was good because it kept you wondering who was doing the killing. But the second one just grabbed the obvious culprit(who wasn't an interesting character anyway) and teamed him with a character that wasn't important enough to seem like she was involved. Dumb. It's not who dies, it's who's doing it and why?
And why would any one say we should stop holding Randy's death against Scream 2? Randy should not have died because, if for no other reason, it instantly made Mickey the obvious killer. Besides, we hated Alien 3 because it killed Ripley, the same goes for Scream 2 and Randy. Neve Campbell doesn't know how to servive a horror movie except through dumb luck. Randy does know, but he NEVER got to use those smarts to save the day. That just sucked. -

Every single one of the people posting all this stuff about the first two "Scream" films being "crap" and "shitfests" will be first in line to see "Scream 3" when it opens just so they can hurry back home and tell everyone on the net how much it "sucked." Half of these people will be so excited to do this that they'll see the advance test screenings months before the film opens, just to get the drop on everyone else on how bad it "sucked." Of course they'll tell you that they thought they were going to see a test screening for the remake of "Citizen Kane," but in reality they beat the pavement trying to get passes to "Scream 3." If you really hate this genre, don't support it. I still haven't read a post that said, "I think the teenage slasher genre is the lowwest common denominator of entertainment, and I haven't seen any of these films. They just don't interest me."
-
Williamson sucks. He is a one-hit wonder that got lucky his first time out. Scream was fantastic, clever, and had some really great scares in it. It should have stood alone and we could have moved on with our lives, but NOOO!! Hollywood had to go and fuck it all up. I hated Scream 2. Once the words, "Billy's nother" were utterd, I bailed on that piece of shit. They should have stuck to the script that was released online. It was very well done, but the great evil that is the Internet has once again ruined a movie. I can't believe that these artists would compromise their work because of a few rumors released online! Note to the all Hollywood types: Just because the info is released online doesn't mean everyone and their mother is going to read it. I knew the script for Scream 2 was floating around the net, but I skipped on reading it because movies are a visual and aural experience. Reading words on paper (er...my monitor), cannot truly convey the intensity, the comedy, or the drama of a scene. Screenplays help the director form the final vision in his mind. Do not alter a $60-100 million dollar projects because of what someone could have posted online. I got news for you, we don't have that much power.

by rodzilla
There is a big clue early in "Scream 2" that Randy is going to die. The only way to survive a "Scream" movie is to know "the rules," and all about horror films. In film class, Randy corrects another stundent on a line from "Aliens": "Excuse me," he says, " 'It's STAY away from her, you bitch!' This is film class, right?" Randy is wrong, and the other student is right. The line is "GET away from her, you bitch!" The killer is in the classroom and hears Randy's mistake. This is a VERY subtle clue, and you have to be a real film geek to pick it up, but it's there. Watch that scene again and get out your copy of "Aliens" and check it. Okay everybody, I just put myself on the geek dunking booth. I'm ready to get wet!
-
There is only one horror film we should be looking forward to and thats "Something Really Scary." Not another Scream film. If you are looking for a horror film with laughs, Joe Dante is your man.
-
I'm one of the posters who called it a "giant hairy shit ball" in regards to Scream 2. And trust me... I won't be back for Scream 3. As far as I am concerned my Scream fandom died with repeated stabs to Randy's torso. I don't want to see Scream 3, I have no desire to see Scream 3, I will not see Scream 3 so I can try to teleport myself back home so I can get online with my opinion of it. A sequel to shit is still shit.
I might see Batman 5, God help me... but I won't see Scream 3. End Transmission. -
Back in 1996 I saw a trailer for a horror movie to be released called "Scream". This trailer revealed almost zilch about the plot and basically just showed the characters. Then I saw Wes Craven's name pop up on the screen I got really interested. I read a bit on this movie and all that was revealed was that it was a "new breed" of slasher pics. I went into the theater opening night un-knowing of what I was seeing(although the paper gave it a 4 star rating) and the theater filled with people unsure of this movie. When Drew Barrymore began to get harassed by this caller the tension began to build. This mechanized voice caller delivered some lines that still send chills down my spine. When that chair crashes through the window and maked the entire theater jump I knew I was in for a ride. When Steve is gutted I realized the gore factor of the movie ans when Casey first gets stabbed I waited for the inevitable dream sequence wake-up. But this didn't happen. Wait. . .you can't kill the biggest actress in the movie in the first reel. But Kevin Williamson did. The sight of Casey hanging from that tree, still swinging, stabber to death with her entrails hanging out still shocks me. The rest of this movie introduced me to some relativel unknown actors (at the time) who were very talented. Also it had a sense of humor and knowing that their lives were straight out of a "Wes Carpenter" movie. But lying underneath all of this was a whodunit plot involving a sinister killer masked in a ghostface. Almost everyone who saw this movie changed their idea of who the killer was at least twice. It had so many red herrings and plot twists to keep anyone interested. The ending truly showed off Williamson's writing talents. When you were told that Stu and Billy were the killers it completely caught you by suprise. Even more shocking was there reason for killing and there plans, they could of gave some completely BS reason but it actually was very deep and creepy. When I left the theater, I only hoped that the horror genre would be revived and be able to put out masterpieces like this.

The SCREAM Franchise is the only true domain for the "incredibly bad actor." Sure there's the I KNOW WHAT YOU DID... and URBAN LEGEND Franchises to compete with, but SCREAM remains the pioneer of anti-talent. Ben Affleck, Alicia Silverstone, Neve Campbell (In a dramatic scene? Are you kidding me?), that stick Jenny-Love what's-her-name, Buff, Ryan Phillipe....take whatever bad actors you want out of Hollywood, Kevin Williamson and Crew. You guys are only helping out the 'good-movie' cause. I can give you a bunch of other SCREAM candidates too if you want them: Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Rose McGowan (she's hot, but she's bad), and all the DAWSON CREEK Kids you want. The only decent actor who's thinking about your project is Anne Heche, and that's because Hollywood's black-balling her. And Heather Graham? Like you people will ever be able to get a hold of her again. But you guys working on the SCREAM Franchise keep it up. We need you to keep those bad actors from ruining potentially good films. As a matter of fact, I won't be happy until you guys get up to SCREAM 83.

Scream a great movie? Come on. Sure it was entertaining the first time but hell I've dreamed better shit. The greatest part of Scream was when Drew Barrymore getting it. That was great. Scream did have a good tongue in cheek thing going on but that's about it. And killing because some girl's mother or whatever fuct up some people's lives? Creepy and STUPID! I bet you will really think it creepy when someone decides to do a copycat killing with that reason. If that's a great movie then you need to watch some more films. Great horror films are Jaws and Psycho. And The Shining. And great movies do more than entertain, they enlighten. If there was anything elightening in the Scream movies, please tell me because I missed it. Granted I will probably see Scream 3 this winter for it's entertainment but I'm not expecting anything more. I'll go to The Green Mile to see something a little more enlightening.

I'm so freaking sick of you guys find excuses to love the PHANTOM MEANACE it's sad! People said It's Star Wars and gave it a good review! What the heck! It's Pathetic! So, shut up about it!
ANYWAYS, I've got an idea that even you Star Wars freaks would like: Kill Jar Jar Binks in the opening scene! Just A stupid idea!
Moving on...
One note to you other RANDY-FREAKS...
You people have problems. Killing off Randy was a great thing! I mean he was one of my fav. characters but it was soooooo
unexpected! It broke cliche's ! Kevin Williamson did a very intellegent thing by doing it also! He broke a cliche! It scared the heck out of me! Well, Scream and Scream 2 are my fav. movies and I can't wait until the third one! SCREW STAR WARS!
On a serious note regarding the scoop...
Megan is a great web-master however the scoop she submitted is way off. Don't believe any of it besides the fact that BEN AFFLECK is going to be in it! Oh and by the way IF YOU DON'T WANNA SEE THAT SCENE GET CUT WHY REPORT ON IT, THEY'LL SURELY CUT IT NOW!
ONCE AGAIN GET OVER STAR WARS AND GET READY TO SCREAM! -
Since we've already been exposed to the setting of Hollywood ad naseum, the characters and story will be the driving force behind Scr3am. If the characters who are killed and terrified by Ghostface are interesting (like having Angus Scrimm(?) from "Phantasm" run from and having a Hollywood vampire killed by Ghostface), the the film will be interesting. If the story is more than a rehash of the first installment, then this might be a film worth watching. We'll see soon enough...
-
Take this for what you will...
I was doing extra work on Wasteland and was standing near Kevin Williamson during a break and he pulled out his cell phone and returned a call to Jamie Lee Curtis. What I was able to put together from hearing one side of the conversation is...
Jamie Lee Curtis will be the "star" killed in the opening sequence of Scream 3 (a la Drew Barrymore) as LAURIE STRODE! (her Halloween character). Pretty cool, huh?
-
The first SCREAM was a great movie. Not so much because kevin Williamson is the Shakespeare of horror, but because Wes Craven is a great director. The Drew Barrymore sequence was FUCKING GREAT. I went to the movie expecting it to suck, and that first 10 minutes had me bolt upright in my chair. Plus the performances were ok too. Matthew Lillard, Rose McGowan, David Arquette. They were all great. But SCREAM 2 was TERRIBLE. As someone already said, the killer vanished after the first half hour, and was never seen again. GEE THAT WAS HARD TO FIGURE OUT. It was cheesy and too full of itself, and I'm sorry but as a former film major I did not buy any of those people as film majors. We did more than sit in film class and discuss whether sequels are good or not. Those people were too well adjusted to be film majors. A sorority chick film major?! Who ever heard of such a thing! It looks like Williamson spent a day writing the script and then they shot it and edited it and had it out there a month after that. Lame, lame, LAME! Production values much? Sceam 3 had better be damned good or I am gonna be really dissapointed in Wes Craven.
-
What the hell is up with MIRAMAX cutting and changing everything because of that unfortunate tragedy in Colombine. Horror movies are SUPPOSED to reflect our fears and the dark side of society. As Pablo Picasso once said "Good taste is the chief enemy if creativity". And Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole.
-
"Good taste is the chief enemy OF creativity" -- Pablo (who was never called an asshole)

Scream 3 is going to be like Scream 2.... Crap. Why? Well let me tell you.
For a start off Kevin Williamson is NOT a horror writer, he is just to middle aged bloke, who thought, 'Hey I want to be like Quentin Tarantino, and Kevin Smith!' But the trouble is... Tarantino and Smith had TALENT!!!!!! Which Williamson lacked.
First of all lets start with Scream. Scream had an excellent opening BORING middle and a good ending. Trouble is you have to have an ending to top the begining of the film. Okay for example. Face Off, imagine the incredible ending in the begining of the film, and the good begining at the end. Don't quite work does it? it supossed to have a good begining to hold your interest and an excellent ending, which would want you to leave the theater with a huge satisfaction inside you.
Scream failed.
Scream 2 is basically a re-hash of a million slasher films done in the 80's. And another thing STOP RIPPING OF KEVIN SMITH'S STAR WARS DISCUSSIONS, FIND ANOTHER FILM TO DISCUSS AND LEAVE IT TO THE MASTER!!!!! And the reason the horror buff (I forget his name) is killed is because, Kevin Williamson knows, there are no good Threequels. Mad Max 3? Return of the Jedi? Godfather? ect.
There are only a few good threequels.
The reason Miramax has drafted in Kruger, is that Williamson has run out of ideas???? (or used up every idea from the old CLASSIC horror movies).
So there proves my point, Kevin Williamson is talentless.
The Faculty is a rip off, and Harry is a big ass licking, sucking 'how far shall I stick my head up your ass Mr Hollywood?' sell out.
You remind me of that Offspring song, 'Pretty fly for a white guy'
As the song states... The world needs wannabies, and Williamson and Harry go hand in hand. -
She was in Scream 2...so they won;'t bring her back...
Remember she was Casey in Stab...wait..never mind! If it is in Hollywood, then maybe she will be in it as the same actress...nevermond!
Sorry!
Than I hope she is in it..she's shagedelic of course! -
Sure,I believe Jamie Lee Curtis will kill off Laurie Strode in the opening sequence of Scream 3,NOT! You understood that whole phone conversation hearing just one end of it? I was in downtown Toronto and saw some cool shit that I could tell about the "X-MEN" film they are doing here but I certainly won't tell bullshit lies! p.s Austin Powers 2 and Episode one blows!
-
First thing, Having Jamie Lee Curtis Halloween character die in the openning could be one of the coolest thing and the Scream Franchise. Next the thing about Randy dying, I think in Retrospect it was great. If you catch me as I walked out of the Theatre. I would have been really pissed. Now I think it was a great move. Scream seems to slap the face of regular horror films. That's what made the first one great. Look at the thing with Jada Pickett in Scream 2. She talked about black people not lasting in Horror films, then they go and kill them off in the open scene. I found that funny. I think if some one would let me write this film (They should cause I'm a damn good write)First the Jamie Lee thing would be a must, next I would have many star get killed in the movie but you have to give them a reason. Like a rumor I heard of Stone Cold Steve Austin playing a Cop. Man this could be a cool scene with stone cold beating the crap out of the killer and then the Killer getting a luck shoot and killing him. The murders in the second scream movie seemed pointless. The Most important thing I would do is Make it look like Sidney would make it thought the movie and then BAM! have her killed by a mugger, or in a Car Jacking. The Movie is suppose to be in LA Right who would have expected that. Hahahahaha The way I see it the only people that should make it should be Dewey and Maybe Gail. Last thing, I think in Ep 2. Jar Jar Binks needs to be killed by accident in the openning scenes. Have Leo Kill him as he's trainning. The people who hated Episode 1 need to look at it as part of a longer story. I thought that Episode 4 suck but if you can put it with the other movies it's great. Last thing I promise. I think it was stupid to have Samuel L. Jackson in Ep 1. Maybe their will be something big for him in Ep. 2 Ok I think I'm done.
-
Yeah, I saw both SCREAM movies. The first one was miles ahead of the sequel, which could have easily dropped about twenty minutes. Unfortunately, I knew Drew was gonna bite the big one even before I stepped foot inside the theater. You see, about a week before, I had read a review in a rag of a magazine (which shall remain nameless) that basically said "Drew Barrymore has the most terrifying encounter onscreen since Janet Leigh in PSYCHO", something like that (or maybe it was "Drew Barrymore meets her demise ten minutes into the picture"), whatever, the shock was spoiled for me. Still, I found SCREAM very entertaining. SCREAM 2. Well, like I said, it was a bit too long (I don't mind long movies at all--as long as they have a point) Scream 2 felt padded, a "who's gonna die next?" thing that was more visible in the sequel. The online (supposedly original) screenplay was much better than the final results. And I'm also one of the very few people who actually LIKED that Randy got killed. Why? Because it came virtually out of the blue. The geek is never supposed to die. The virgin is never supposed to die. Randy was both, and guess what? He died! That was the most original, unexpected moment in the movie. SCREAM 3 I'm sure will contain its share of shocking deaths (I didn't buy Dewey surviving the sequel--the guy was stabbed repeatedly!!) Actually he was supposed to die in both films, but the audience loved him so he was brought back. Let's hope there's none of this kindness in SCREAM 3.
-
not really, but sheesh. Calm down Francis. Everybody just take a deep breath and repeat after me, "It's only a movie". If it's a bad movie and a piece of crap, fine. See a spade, call it a spade. No need to get too worked up about it. ANY movie, whether it's horror, sci-fi, kids movie, romance, etc.. is there to entertain. If a movie doesn't entertain, then by all means don't see it again and don't recommend it to your friends. But remember the movie is still in production and nobody yet knows what it'll turn out like. So, just sit back, check out the news, and try to not get too upset about it. It's just a series of moving pictures used to tell a story and it can only hurt you as much as you let it.
-
I am a big big fan of the Scream series and I will definatly be there opening night, but is it just me but after looking at the cool as hell slate of horror films coming out this summer and fall "BLAIR WITCH, HAUNTING, SIXTH SENSE, A STIR OF ECHOES, THE REVENGE OF JONBONET (just kidding)" Scream 3 just seems so teeny, I say just make Sydney go to Hollywood, fail miserably at acting, get into porn, get hooked on Crack, become a Madamn and have Zalman King direct it, Honestly I would pay Fifteen dollars to see Sydney kill herself in a very glamorous way, gee should she take the red pill...the blue pill....
the project just seems*****YAWN, OVer IT***
THEY BETTER MAKE IT GOOD!!!!! -
I really don't like Hitchcock style movies, and I'm not big on psychological thrillers. If we're gonna have a SCREAM 3, then it's gonna have to be Williamson. 'Cause if it's not, then it won't be right. It's his story. It's like someone else doing STAR WARS Episode 3, and kicking George Lucas off the project. Yeah, it's a bit of a stretch, bt you get my point. It's Williamson's story, it's his trilogy. Let him do it, or don't do it at all. Besides, when was the last time you saw someone commit suicide in a horror movie? It's unheard of! You don't kill yourself, someone else does! Insanity, I say, insanity! -NJM
-
what?
-
Dear Asshole, May I remind you that people kill people not guns.
-
"... the actual coarse of production." Harry, it's COURSE. "Coarse" means rough or rugged. Spelling and grammar aren't big priorities with you are they? Doesn't help with your credibility problem; you might wanna work on both.
-
...if he thinks Matthew Lillard has EVER given a GOOD performance in ANYTHING. He cannot act... why is he still getting work? Who is he blowing? I can't stand that annoying fucker.
-
Although we see a lot of people taking the side of "guns don't kill people, psycho teenagers do." I happen not to agree with this on the most simplistic level: if people kill people, let someone put their hand into the shape of a gun and start "shooting people" and see the effects.
I actually do appreciate the Scream franchise (unlike most apparently) and although 2 wasn't better than the first, it kept my attention and kept the tone of the generation X:skepticism. I see this franchise as one of the definers of our generation whether good or bad.

-
OH YEA ILL STICK HER ASS ANYDAY, THAT WHITE HOE DESERVES IT

ONCE again, I'm overwhelmed by the ASSHOLES who show up here to post that THEY don't like the Scream series and it sucks. Great for you! What do want a fucking medal? I just cannot understand what kind of retard mentality actually goes through the whole process of clicking on a story about a movie series they don't like and then writing out a whole talk back post to let everyone know that THEY don't like SCREAM. Get a fucking life. If you don't have an interest in a movie series, don't take up space from the fans who actually have an interest in the subject.

Do I have high expectations for this movie?
Not really.
What else can they do that they haven't done already in Scream 1 & 2?
We've seen movies remade, recast of characters, movies within movies, novels written and nods to other great horror movies as well.
Unless they bring some Supernatural stuff in here, then I think they ought to stop with a trilogy. Even so, the Friday the 13th movies were really hard to swallow after the 4th or 5th movies as Jason wasn't a mere axe murderer anymore, but a Supernatural being. It's nice for a little while, but very soon, it's like "eh...what a wank"...
While this whole idea about revealing the killer a couple of days before filming is wrapped up, has been done before by "Twin Peaks" no less, it doesn't really excite me all that much.
Why?
Well, we all know that no one from the previous movie is going to be turn out to be the killer...just look at Scream 2. It's going to be a whole new teenage character, with some pathetic idea/motive for revenge, so who really cares??
