Are you ready for the REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA final poster? Can anyone ever be truly ready?
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I get the feeling that Repo: the Genetic Opera is either going to blow my mind, blow period or will be an incredibly fascinating trainwreck. I can't see this movie being dull. I'll know in a couple days when I catch it at Fantastic Fest.
Lionsgate has forwarded a little Repo packet for you good folks. Below you'll find the final one-sheet (click to make big) and I have links for the official site here and also a link where you can sample tracks of the songs.
I'm seeing the flick this Friday (at 9:30pm) and I'll see where I fall on this flick. Hope to see some of you out at Fantastic Fest! Here's the poster:

im not usually into these sorts of films, but damn, there's just something about this project that maintains my curiosity. And Quint...let the Lionsgate people know that there are people willing to watch this. Rumors abound the internets that they're going to dump this in a few theaters, similar to Midnight Meat Train

The whole Peter Block slate looks to be up for a good ol' fashion Hollywood style a**-raping. The Burrowers, this, Midnight Meat Train. Only Saw comes unscathed because it's such a huge property.

...by people who haven't even gone to check out the site or learn about the movie. Of course that is what this site is about sometimes. So far I'm reserving judgement until I actually see it. The clips on the website are very catchy and interesting and even Paris Hilton seems to be a good addition. So far I'm thinking it's going to be pretty good but I could be wrong.

Even without that moronic blonde who every media outlet keeps insisting is a celebrity for some reason I can't understand, I don't have much interest in this. Please don't let this movie make any money or become any kind of a cult hit like it's trying so hard to do. If it succeeds, Paris will only be encouraged (as if she needs any encouragement), but worse still, moviemakers will keep putting her in movies.

You'll be one of the few to see this in a theatre Quint considering how Lionsgape have shit all over its release. They did the same with Midnight Meat Train. So fuck them and the Saw franchise, as that's the only shit they seem to care about. They ain't getting my money no more.
