Fantastic Fest's FEARS OF THE DARK trailer hits the nets in Glorious Quicktime HD!!!

Published at:  Sep 16, 2008 6:24:26 AM CDT

Hey folks, Harry here... Every time before a film festival... doesn't matter if it is here in Austin or at any number of film festivals across the world, folks ask me what I'm most excited about. I know that we have a lot of wonderful stuff at this year's FANTASTIC FEST, and we have even more awesome stuff that got announced today... what with screenings of VINYAN, REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, PULSE 2 & YOUR NAME HERE with Bill Pullman showing up... along with an announcement about our extra "secret screenings".

Well, right now... at 6:21am Tuesday morning, I'm most excited about IFC's FEARS IN THE DARK - I just watched this trailer on Yahoo - in gorgeous HD and I was jazzed to see our Festival named in the trailer! That's killer. But more than that... just look at that fucking trailer! It's awesome!

I can't stand that B&W style of animation. Makes me want to go watch AKIRA again so I can remind myslef of what real animation should be.

    Saw "Your Name Here" and...

    by shooter351

It was AWFUL! I was at the premiere at Cinevegas in...duh...Vegas and "Your Name Here" was the talk of the festival. I willingly braved the huge crowd, elbowed my way through the ultra-pretentious "industry insiders", stood in line for standby tickets for the sold out showing, and sat in the second fucking row to see it. I won't get into spoilers, but no matter how much I wanted to like it, I was SORELY disappointed. Bill Pullman turned in a good performance, but the film made absolutely zero sense. Yes, I've considered the possibility that I just "didn't get it", but I defy anyone to see it and truly "get" such an almost purposely obtuse and befuddling film. Three words: Terr-i-bull.
