You really think seeing "Lisa And The Devil" fills a gap in your film knowledge? I can loan you my copy of D. W. Griffith's "Intolerance," if you want. I got it at the 99-Cent store.

Not until the third paragraph, when plot summary begins, combined with the first still did I realize I'd seen this. Obviously, didn't make that big of an impression. Saw it with a bunch of other Bava at a recent retrospective. I more or less agree with Quint though he's kinder in his Final Thoughts. I think it's only okay and I'm a big fan of weird mindfuck movies. It has its cool parts, then it plods the rest of the time. With this quote: "Now, I didn’t really love this movie, but it gets so bizarre that I can’t help but respect it." Quint pretty much nails it.

Is that the big moment? I tried counting the previous films list, but kept losing my place. Let me be the first to congratulate you on this stunning and bizzare achievement. I look on you with awe and some concern... I don't know how you did it. (I myself have seen maybe 20 films since June 2nd.) But, I honestly never doubted you'd get this far. Here's to the next hundred and beyond. AMAD 4 Lyfe!!!

To me, it's a film that stays with you and one that I find myself wanting to revisit. It is of course personal preference but is movie fatigue starting to set in? Also, trivia fans, the possession inserts were shot by Bava himself, he butchered his own film and one that he was really proud off, rather than see somebody else do it. Then, to add insult to injury, House of Exorcism made a fortune at the box office!

Aside from the campy Kojak cameo in the original Puzo Superman script, was Savalas even asked or considered for the part of Lex Luthor? Although it is commonplace now, in the 70's a totally bald head was out of the ordinary and very striking - with the exception of Yul Bryner, Savalas was the most famous bald man in the world.

Check out the stamina on my man Quint. You haven't slipped once - you've maintained your movie-a-day schedule for over 3 months now.

Whenever I try to do anything like this (write according to a daily schedule, exercise, bang my wife every day, etc.) it becomes hellish toil. The very act that I was once excited about performing every day becomes drudgery. I end up only doing it because I made the commitment, not because I want to, like a drug addict chasing that first high and never finding it again.

Are you there yet, Quint? Do you need cinematic viagra to keep this going? Or is it still enjoyable?

to watch House of Exorcism for today's movie-of the-day? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Though NOWHERE near as good as Lisa & the Devil (The necrophilia in Lisa &... was a surprise to be sure), it's certainly interesting. If I were you I'd watch it soon so you won't miss which bits were salvaged from Lisa & the Devil.

Koscina, a bombshell, appears to be forgotten. She was a very tempestuous presence in films that oscillated from "A" to "B" (latter includes LISA AND THE DEVIL). She earned U.S. visibility in HERCULES (Hercules--played by Steve Reeves-- rescues Koscina; rather than exploit the opportunity, Herc retreats to his camp site, yelling "By the gods! I forgot my roast!" I think he eventually drops another memorable line, "By the gods! I'll have my revenge, I swear it!"). Koscina turned from vulnerable damsel to dressed-down assassin in DEADLIER THAN THE MALE (which originally paired her with LISA star, Elke Sommer); Koscina's torrid image (strapless teeny bikini, wielding speargun), rendered on the poster, sold tickets (and, apparently, she had had absolutely no qualms about performing nudity). You can spot her in everything from UNCLE WAS A VAMPIRE (Chris Lee) to JULIET OF THE SPIRITS to THE LITTLE NUNS to CONFESSIONS OF A SEX MANIAC. Koscina was effortlessly sexy and a pretty good actress (a far more memorable legacy than the likes of Pam "Granny" Anderson, an artificial human and p.r. parasite).

You are about to witness Peter Sellers and Blake Edwards at their respective bests..with A Shot in the Dark especially but also the Pink Panther...the series takes a turn after Shot, but still Sellers is fuckin amazing in a role he despised....please tell me you've seen Dr. Strangelove? if you haven't add that to your little list if you wanna see Sellers eat the scenery around every other cast member (with the exception of Slim Pickens)
