Cylon-Centric BATTLESTAR GALACTICA TV-Movie Prequel Signs Eight Of The 12 Models!!
I am – Hercules!!
TV Guide reports that at least eight of the 12 models will appear in SciFi’s untitled Cylon-centric “Battlestar Galactica” prequel TV-movie scripted by Jane Espenson (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Firefly”).
(Note please that the untitled project is not to be confused with the fully titled and already-shot “Galactica” prequel TV-movie “Caprica.”)
The eight Cylon players the magazine confirms for the project include:
1. Dean Stockwell
2. Callum Keith Rennie
3. Michael Hogan
4. Rick Worthy
5. Aaron Douglas
6. Tricia Helfer
7. Michael Trucco
8. Grace Park
Cylons unmentioned are Lucy Lawless, Matthew Bennett and Rekha Sharma.
Previously reports indicated Katee Sackhoff had also been pursued for the cast.
The 12th and final Cylon won’t be revealed until the final 10 already-shot regular “Galactica” episodes hit SciFi early next year. (The fact that Edward James Olmos is directing the movie reminds me for some reason of when Leonard Nimoy was hired to direct the supposedly Spock-free “Star Trek III.”)

Michelle Forbes (Admiral Cain) has joined the cast of HBO's True
by Boomers_Lips
Variety is saying it will be a full regular role. i hope she's a lesbian again.

that vampire show.
-
Sci-Fi could once and for all decide to air the final half-season... they've bled it out enough.

So Starbuck is the cylon? Is that what we're supposed to infer?
by V'Shael
Just asking. Can't really say I care much anymore.
-
I love that there are no goofy aliens or magic technologies that save the day... Moore does a great job making space a cold hard place. But I find it odd that the writers like to jump around in the time line so much. It's an interesting way to tell a story and even a little anticlimactic at times because you know who MUST live though the film because the character has already appeared later in the chronology of the series.

I hope we see this BEFORE the end of the series.

...should reveal something significant about the Cylon order and explain the Cylon "Plan," which was mentioned for so long in the opening credits.

Plan? Oh yeah, they had a plan...kill humanity
by Stereotypical Evil Archer
I think that's it.
-
What a lame way to find out who the final Cylon is...I'm done with BSG. The sci fi channel have ruined any momentum the show had for the final episodes with its retarded scheduling.
-
as if, don't believe that for a second because it isn't the case. Ron Moore when asked about the last supper promo pic stated that there was a space missing (you can see on the left of the pic a glass of wine or something with no owner) and suggested that the space was for the final cylon. Meaning, everyone else in the pic, starbuck included, cannot be the final toaster
-
Otherwise why bother keeping it secret? It's gonna be the baby, Hera.
-
Look forward to my LAST ten episodes with Sci-Fi.
-
Makes as much fucking sense as anything else I've read.
-
That only means that the final cyclon likes to drink :)
-
is the final Cylon. Or not.
-
RDM's also stated it's a character we've seen before
-
I have always been under the mindfuck that the final cylon was Lee's dead brother.
-
I think it would bee cool, but they never established the character enough for it to have any impact. My money was on Lee himself for awhile. Now I am just hoping it comes down to Adama and Roslyn and they ( the writers ) have you thinking they are both cylons in the end and never actually tell you. I really hope it's not Baltar.. that's blowing all of his symbolism of humanity. Someone on here argued that they're all cylons... that there really aren't any humans anymore. That would be interesting.
-
The 5th and final will either be an obvious choice, like Baltar (I know about the Last Supper painting, but RM changes his mind quite frequently) or it will be out of left field, like the deceased Adama brother or Roslin's boy wonder left-hand man, Billy.
-
The dude who escaped Cylon occupation in 'Hero'? That would be lame, but would still make sense.
-
So excited for you all!
-
So much sh** goes down before the reveal that by the time you get to it, it will be the least of your worries.

The fact this talkback is not very long after all this time ...
by Shan
... might be some of the (relatively) early signs that everyone's starting to tire of all of this waiting. <p> So, of course it's great if the last 10/11 episode run to the finish knocks it out of the park but everyone is just starting to get just that bit impatient.
-
Admiral Cain is the 12th Cylon. That's why when "All Along the Watchtower" started playing, only four of the final five showed up. Being dead, she couldn't join them. Also, remember when D'Anna had the vision and saw the 12th Cylon and said something like "oh, I'm so sorry"? Well, you could chalk that up to their doomed relationship in the Razor movie. And why bother making the Razor movie anyway unless Cain was more important than we all realized? Anyway, that's my two cents...
-
That's a very interesting idea... I had not thought of that scenario.
-
By the Gods, if you even so much as insinuate any further as to who the Final Cylon may be, I will personally grab you by the virtual scruff of your neck and launch you out a Viper tube before you can say, "Dradis contact!"<P>Don't frak with us, bro!
-
I wouldn't worry too much. I'm not sure the topic at hand really warrants all that large a TB conversation.
-
I'm not insinuating at all, just excited. It's another one of those answers that just leads to more questions. I'm only one episode ahead, beyond that, I know nothing. Having said that, I will now cease with the annoying "I know who it is" posts. And last but not to be the least, Caprica Rules and The Clone Wars weren't that bad at all. Mua ha ha ha.
-
wasn't that bad. (Not weren't)
-
No worries, I hear ya. Your knowledge is treacherous...and greatly coveted by us fellow fans.<P>Glad to hear good buzz for CAPRICA. Cheers!
-
Finish the story then see if it's spinoff worthy
-
Scott Bakula
-
it was Tricia Helfers Cylon that had a relationship with Cain
-
Would you be kind enough to state whether RDM was or wasn't lying when he said the final cylon isn't in the Last Supper picture?
-
He's not lying.
-
Thanks! I've been screaming that in the TBs for quite a while now. It's good to have some confirmation. <BR><BR>Do you hear that, you fucking mongoloids? The last cylon is NOT Lee, Admiral Adama, Starbuck, or Baltar, so SHUT THE FUCK UP.
-
He'll write himself into the show, like Stephen King.
-
All episodes to date. NBC Universal came crawling back to Apple after a year in the wilderness. iTunes 8.0 allows 720p, 5.1 surround playback on the computer or Apple TV.

"I love to kill."
-
1. Dean Stockwell <p> 2. Callum Keith Rennie <p> 3. Michael Hogan <p> 4. Rick Worthy <p> 5. Aaron Douglas <p> 6. Tricia Helfer <p> 7. Michael Trucco <p> 8. Grace Park <p> Every Cylon who has a model number has had the actor who plays them put next to a number. How clever is that?
-
Why does this keep happening? All the time I post here, my average command of the English language has an attack of the stupids!
-
Hi Mr Nice Gaius, long time no see. <p> secretcylon, to recap on what you've told us now or in past talkbacks ... <p> The Final Cylon. <p> a) Is a person <p> b) Not in the photograph <p> c) No word from yourself as to whether they're thought to be alive or dead. <p> Question, have we seen them before? <p> Finally for now, there was a theory that Ellen Tigh was an aged Six (or surgically altered at least). Probably not true but not a bad idea, especially given Colonel Tigh's ?hallucinations? (it would also explain a lot about her survival of the attack in the beginning), I thought. Especially if Ellen Tigh turned up in a new Six body now realising she's a Cylon. Your thoughts on what is probably an erronous bit of speculation as a plot line?
-
This part of an article from "The Watcher" website accounts for Matthew Bennett and Rekha Sharma. That just leaves Lucy Lawless. <p> But I got to wondering -- who else is in it? A source close to the production said we can also count on seeing a host of actors who play Cylons on the show: Tricia Helfer (No. 6), Grace Park (Boomer/Athena), Rick Worthy (Simon), Matthew Bennett (Doral) and Callum Keith Rennie (Leoben). Helfer (for more on her click here) certainly has a full dance card: She’s playing a mysterious spy handler on “Burn Notice,” which returns with its last two summer episodes Sept. 11, and she also landed a role in a mid-season Fox pilot, “Inseparable.” (At left, Katee Sackhoff, Mary McDonnell, "Battlestar" executive producer Ron Moore and Helfer). It’s a bit of a bummer to learn that Saul Tigh (Michael Hogan), perhaps the show’s most compelling Cylon, doesn’t have a big role in the new film, which will air some time after the show's season finale. My source says that Tigh and a fellow Cylon, Tory Foster (Rekha Sharma), are in the film, but “not as much." In convention footage posted at Galactica Sitrep, Olmos indicates that Chief Tyrol has a good-sized role in the film.
-
That list of Cylons is only partially correct. Here's the real list with all the numbers we have confirmed so far. <BR><BR> <BR><BR> 1 Dean Stockwell - Cavil <BR><BR> 2 Callum Keith Rennie - Leoben Conoy <BR><BR> 3 Lucy Lawless - D'Anna Biers <BR><BR> 4 Rick Worthy - Simon <BR><BR> 5 Matthew Bennett - Aaron Doral <BR><BR> 6 Tricia Helfer - Gina Inviere/Shelly Godfrey/Natalie/Caprica <BR><BR> 8 Grace Park - Sharon Valerii
-
Thanks Strabo. Due to poor phrasing on my part (mainly by omission) that doesn't come across. I meant that those who have assigned numbers are listed next to their actual numbers. The Final Five, which are not are just listed in no particular order in the gaps. Namely 3,5 and 7. (Tigh,Tyrol, Samuel "T" Anders).
-
Remember, as far as we know, Final Fives don't download (I think). Tigh has been around a long time. Adam has know him for a long time and I'm sure he has a service record, etc. My point being that I think (not positive) the Final Five where actually born to parents somehow and are "fundamentally different." Also, I'm not going to speculate anyumore or insinuate who is or who isn't a cylon as I really don't want to narrow it down any further. If I keep saying "no" to every guess than eventually we'd all know and that wouldn't be any fun. But like I said, there are LOTS more questions to answer, and it's a relief when BSG gets off the "guess the cylon" track. The next episode plays like a friggin Bergman movie.
-
I promised Mr Nice Gaius that I would cease all speculation. I'm very excited about this new movie and am very curious as to what Chief's role will be. I love Caprica.
-
It was Six (Gina) who had the relationship with her. To my recollection, I don't remember Cain and D'anna meeting.<BR><BR>Still, I am hoping it's Admiral Cain. That character didn't appear anywhere near enough in the series.
