Live in Chicago? Want to see an early screening of the Coen Brothers' latest, BURN AFTER READING? Capone has the details!!

Published at:  Sep 04, 2008 10:31:50 AM CDT

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here.

Now normally, I'm not big on simply giving away passes to screenings in Chicago unless a studio gives our readership the entire theater, or we've got a special guest on hand for a Q&A after the screening. But every so often, someone will come to me with a handful of tickets to something that I simply can't refuse. The prospects are just too good to pass up.

On top of that, I don't think there's a September release that I've gotten more questions from readers about whether or not we were doing a screening than the Coen Brothers BURN AFTER READING, which will be screening in Chicago on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 8:00 pm at a theater in downtown Chicago (the exact location will be given only to the winners). I've been asked if I could fill a fairly sizable number of seats, and that's exactly what we're going to do. Now since this is not an exclusive AICN event, you'll have to arrive early to make sure you get in, but I figure you know that already. And please keep in mind this is the first film from the Coens since their Oscar wins for NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, so demand for tickets/seats will be high.

The film stars Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Frances McDormand, Richard Jenkins, J.K. Simmons, John Malkovich, and Tilda Swinton. Oh baby!

To win, simply email me at capone@aintitcoolmail.com with the subject line "CONFIDENTIAL". In the body of the email, I need your first and last name, and the answer to the following question: If I had to choose my own CIA code name, what would it be and why?" I want one- to three-word Code Names, and brief explanations. The ones that make the laugh or give pause the longest win. I expect this contest to fill up exceedingly fast, so I'd say the deadline is noon (CST) on Thursday, September 4. And for god's sake, don't enter if you think there's even a chance you can't make it. If you cancel, you'll literally be taking a seat out of someone else's mouth. That's just not cool.

Good luck, everyone!

    Don't worry, Dingleberry Jones

I dig the Coen bros. Loved Raising Arizona and Hudsucker Proxy. The Big Lebowski is one of my favorite flicks. No Country was a great movie. So what if they've had some turds. All the QT corksuckers should take note- Coen bros have more than two good films.

No guests this time? I only ask because it makes a difference as to whether I enter.
