THE BROTHERS BLOOM plays Toronto in a few days, but here are some exclusive stills for ya'!

Published at:  Sep 02, 2008 8:11:43 AM CDT

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I was lucky enough to have seen an early cut of THE BROTHERS BLOOM and I can't recommend it enough. It's as if the Ghost of Hal Ashby possessed the body of Rian Johnson and their souls had a little dripping Casper love child starring Rachel Weisz, Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo. Absolutely refreshing, beautifully made flick that hits you on a few different levels.

Can't wait to hear the reaction out of Toronto.

In the mean time, here's a few exclusive stills for ya'. You get Rinko Kikuchi as Bang-Bang, which I have no doubt will be an audience favorite, the actors surrounding direction Rian Johnson and a final shot of the Brothers Bloom themselves. You get a feel for the tone of the pics. Click to make big! Enjoy!

If it's half as good as Brick, then I'm there.

    by knuckleduster

Hope it gets a wide release. Would definitely like to see more from Johnson.

And usually saying half as good is an exaggeration, but really, half as good as Brick and I'll still love it. Not only that, but I like Mark Ruffalo more and more with everything I see him in. He was effing top-notch in Zodiac, and I can't wait to see him team with Scorsese and DiCaprio on Shutter Island. I Anxiously await the Brothers Bloom.

    Loved Brick, loved it

Fingers crossed for this one, if nothing else there's always Rachel Weisz to look at... I'm in Toronto but couldn't get tickets, isn't that even more frustrating than not being here?

Brick was definitely one of those films that you grow fond of as it lingers in your head..Very creative and different flick....Well, I'm extremely excited about this one especially with all the good buzz and if I'm not mistaken guys like the very trustworthy Quint saying that Rian Johnson is next big thing. I'm all about the next big thing, there aren't enough of those....Brothers Bloom is looking fun as hell.

Brick is one of my favorites of the last decade

    by industrykiller!

Just a really inventive immersive film with great performances, which is something you almost never see in a cast of nothing but young actors. Cannot wait for this.

    Personally I couldn't stand Brick...

Just turned it off after half-an-hour or so, didn't work for me at all. This however (judging by the trailer at least) looks like a lot of fun.

this movie looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. How refreshing to see something other than another Scorcher VI-style, based-on-a-videogame bullshit movie.

    As i read the script...

    by c0ns

I could not imagine anyone other than Brad Pitt in Mark Ruffalo's role (even knowing that Mark had been cast). Now seeing these just makes me think he would have been perfect.

Aw well, sure Ruffalo will do a great job.
