Diesel And Walker Drive Around!! Hot Chicks Make Out!! Must Mean There's A Trailer For FAST AND FURIOUS Online!!
Merrick here...
IGN has posted the first trailer for FAST AND FURIOUS. It's THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS, but without "The"(s)!
FAST AND FURIOUS will reunite 1st installment cast Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Jordana Brewster. Justin Lin, who directed TOKYO DRIFT (the third F&F movie) returns here, working from a script by Chris Morgan (TOKYO DRIFT, and...more recently...WANTED).
Behold all...
HERE!!!
"Fast and Furious" she begged. "If that's how you want it..." whispered the man. I have no idea why I just wrote that...none at all.

This movie is gonna be just fine chaps.
-
I did
-
give up so completely on original titles. (ok, aside from Rambo) Seriously, who cares at this point?
-
Hmmm.
-
I'm talking about the crap-tastic video player at IGN. Volume kept cutting out in Firefox & the window wouldn't re-size.
-
Vin Diesel & Paul Walker obviously can't get any other work.
-
Not a very inspired title is it. Just took out the two "the" from the original title.
I wonder what space chimp came up with that little ditty. -
here? huh?
-
i like that one lucas black kid.
-
on the Universal backlot tour have more personality than Walker and Diesel.
-
I'll admit it, I'm looking forward to this. The original had something about that worked for me.
-
Dang, these guys look tired, when VIn says, "Here we go again." Late night, guys? Makes me feel old, seeing their lined faces, Paul especially looks weary. Plus, he is getting the comb-over short haircut going, not good, where are the curled surfer locks... Trailer looked cheap, too.
-
all i got to say is it reminds me of road warrior tryin to steal gas in the beginning.
-
hope this one kicks ass!
-
you've all become! It seems the popular thing to do now is rip the shit out of a movie before it even released. These kind of movies are cheap thrill action movies. you know you enjoyed the others, (well at least the first one with the cast of this new one) and you know youre gonna see this one. As far as the traileer is concerned it look like a return to basics and looks a lot more enjoyable than the last two. Four words:- Jordan Brewster Michelle Rodriguez
-
But only one got to bang Angelina. Miller wins.
-
... it's true.
-
Jordana Brewster!
-
I hate these fucking movies. But I also love them. But they suck, but they rock! So horrible, so great!
-
Looks like his ears caught up to his ego!! Kickass music though
-
I love 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS.
-
Do you have a better modern-day candidate in the "cars go fast" genre?Cars going fast and people jumping from/onto them used to be a cinematic staple. Now they are much more rare (Death Proof, Death Race), but when I get one, I take it gladly! That said, Tokyo Drift had a pretty awful script, but Mr. Lin directed it with so much inventive energy that I have hope for this next installment.
-
but as an above poster stated, Jordana Brewster is hot.
-
I hope this movie features a cameo of a stalking truck driver (clunking over hill and dale in pursuit of Paul Walker) yearning for his Candy Cane.
-
And they were loved by heterosexual men across the board. Have we become so into "indie" shit and "cerebral" films that we can't enjoy a good "car go fast, stuff go boom" movie anymore? For shame.
-
...........Duel.
-
.... not for the plot

Yeah, um...welcome to AICN. I take it this is your first time here?
-
The first one was the better version of Point Break, the second one was damn near unwatchable, and the third one, although seriously lacking in the story department, had some pretty great action sequences. The trailer looks like they're going for the feel of the first one (the whole road pirates thing) with the director of the third. Call me crazy, but I think this flick looks like it's got some serious potential. And an older Vin on a mission of vengeance? I'm there. (The hot chicks making out don't hurt either...)
-
FACT.

by rokurgepta
because he's a sellout..... but you know what... given the chance 9/10 people can/will/do sell out....
-
I've liked all of the previous flicks...even the second, which sort of sucked, but had its charms...kind of like a blow job, with a lil' too much teeth, from a cute chick who works at Starbucks.
That said, this looks pretty good. Not everything needs to be fuckin' Schindler's List. Plus they have an STi in it. And I love me an STi. Nice Saturday matinee, fueled by a couple of bong hits. I'll be there. -
Here in Hockley,Tx they got the Drive- IN theaters and it's pretty bad ass, especially for this type of movie!!!
-
So, if the absolute ridiculousness of the scene in the trailer is any indication of just how bad this movie is going to be...I'd say it's straight to Bit Torrent or DTBT for short. Seriously, the drivers of the diesel pickups pulling a move like that off is the same as me winning the mega lotto. In other words, impossible. Why, with all their infinite funds and wisdom as movie makers, couldn't they just make the scene somewhat realistic? Why don't they just put Vin and Paul in skin tight suits with capes and have them fly around lifting entire tanker trucks full of gas off the ground and back to their hidden lair.
-
Michelle Rodriguez, the greatest female action star of the past decade, is finally getting into some big projects again. Can't wait to see her in this and Cameron's Avatar.
-
Concentrating on one big action sequence, lots of stunts, didn't notice much digital (at least in my browser), then the reveal of Vin Diesel, good choice of music with the montage and the goofy slogan at the end, and emphasis on them being outlaws and not on them driving those stupid neon colored toy cars... it's all so confident and slick it almost tricks you into thinking this series is legitimately good and that it's amazing to see all these actors together again. Which is not really true, but I'll be damned if I don't enjoy those stupid movies. And the third one is the best, so it's good to have that director return.
Still wish Lucas Black was in it, though. -
That is one of the cars featured in the trailer. It's an '80's Rally car capable of 0-60 in 2.1 Secs! That's faster than a Veyron and the car is almost 30 years old!
-
I don't care about anything else.
-
Looks alright..lotsa explosions, lotsa chicks, lotsa mayhem.

This is not a guilty pleasure. It's a fucking pleasure full stop
by stuntcock mike
This needs at least 4 more installments after this one.
-
Smokey and the Bandit 2. Which means I shall attend.
-
because it's cool to steal shit and then kill truck drivers. I heard there's a scene later on where they rob a 7-11 and totally kill the guy working the cash register.Bad ass!
-
You know, except for the oscar. He appears as a major action star and has a few hits but then quickly disappears (in Stallone's case it was slowly). Then he returns to the franchise that made him famous in order to reinvigorate his flailing career.
-
Looks like this is the first ever AICN talkback you've ever participated in. What a surprise.
Perhaps you'll also be the guy who'll deliver the expected plantastic "review" of the film, complete with anachronistic "happenin'" phrases like "this film is da boooommmmb!!" and fake anecdotes about people "drifting" their cars in the parking lot outside the theater?
-
im sure it works if you see this in theaters for the first time, since you dont really know what the movie is. but posting that teaser online is sorta retarded because the big reveal of who they are has no impact since we already knew before the thing even started. god bless the internet. lol as for the movie itself, well i'm sure all the teenage boys who loved the first will see this, as will the teenage boys of today and having returning characters sometimes helps so who know, it may be a hit.
-
and except Stallone has always been a really good actor/writer/director while vin diesel is bald.
-
I mean, a definite step up from Fast and Furious Tokyo Karaoke Party or whatever the last one was called.
-
That's a big 'ol pile of genre fun right there. Deal me in.
-
I think Lin's got the stuff, and Morgan's Wanted script was pretty decent (except for that bizarre and totally lame rat bullshit – WTF?!) the actors (and I use that term lightly) are fine for this type of material.
-
I realize it's not relevant to to getting a film made, but DAMN Diesel can't act. That Babylon AD trailer, his every line is just like wood. And not the good kind. Him and Keanu need to make a movie together.
-
The first was so lame, complete with obligatory "GODDAMN STREETRACERS!!!" pizza-delivery guy scene. It was made for 12-year--olds. This one actually looked like it might be decent, and stray from the now out-of-fashion streetracing scene.
-
The first film was just sleazy fun. Far from poetry, but I had a blast watching it unfold. The second one was too slick for its own good. It was a John Singleton hack job of the highest order. They turned the attention away from the cars and put it on the actors. Bad decision. The third film was the cash-in. Total shit. A nothing cast surrounded by extras of equal star power, with a script that was clearly written in crayon. As for this film, I'll use a wait-and-see approach.
-
That's the logical conclusion to this series.
-
Vin Diesel does the first F&F, after doing Pitch Black...he gets real famous very quickly, and it is way beneath him to do another F&F...I mean he's a big fucking star now, right? I guess money must be getting tight and pride running a bit thin. Babylon A.D. is going to be a festering pile, and Vin's future is looking bleaker than the overstuffed Riddick universe.
-
Even the trailer acknowledges that the original actors are back after a few sequels when they were MIA. The movie doesn't appear to be taking itself too seriously but isn't winking into the camera. Its a popcorn summer action flick and there's nothing wrong with that. It doesn't look like the people involved think they are making TDK.
-
are worse than the overweight housewives that provide in depth commentary on the lives of the reality tv's stars. Man, you guys are mean...Anyways, I'll be the first to say i don't care for this series and use its title with my buds most commonly as reference for some "cinematic quality" joke, but even with F&F's baggage I'll agree with Vern and say that was a pretty damn good trailer... That first chase scene was very good and very entertaining. Let's hope the rest has more of that EXTREMENESS sprinkled throughout.
-
Vern's right, the trailer's been well put-together. But Tokyo Drift the best film?! Nadir of the series more like (which is going some, and I bloody LIKE these films!). My spleen is vented on the saga right here: http://noisetosignal.org/2008/08/the-last-and-the-spurious
-
MY ASS. Looks like the usual Star Trek SoCal location shooting.
-
Don't you know? Blue Collar Dominicans are eeeeeeville.
-
Watch the trailer and pause it at exactly the 1:27 mark. Right after they show Paul Walker's name he tackles a guy out of the window. You can clearly see the car windows explode well before they land. Pretty obvious mistake for a Trailer
-
Seriously, scrap the entire fucking notion of motion pictures, just treat the fucking cinema like a giant television screen. Same fucking movie can play year in, year out. Maybe the audiences will start to tolerate several intermissions for ads.
-
I never saw the sequels because the first one was passable but not sequel worthy. There are some clever scenes in the first film that you don't expect to see in an action film. I liked the part where they're saying grace before dinner. I also liked the fact that Vin Diesel was actually guilty of the crimes. There wasn't an attempt at making him a hero at the end.

I will admit this trailer makes the film look great....
by dannyglovers_dickblood
...I thought the other 3 looked like shit. I might actually see this one.
-
Yes, the Hulk car is ridiculous, just like all those sissy pink and green fuckers in the other two movies. That one's just taking the "these rich dipshits waste hundreds of thousands of dollars on cars that make them look like complete jackasses" concept up a couple notches. I like TOKYO DRIFT the best because of Lucas Black's charismatic presence and the Tokyo setting. The whole thing is a tribute to everything Japanese and finds many visually appealing ways to show its love for the place. They even have Sonny Chiba in there. But then this good old boy hero who was so good in SLING BLADE when he was a little kid. It's just a weird combination, it's very likable. I know many people who don't like the other two but somehow fell for that one.
Look up my review on my geocities page if you need more explanation. Don't get mad. But I can see having a different favorite, they're all enjoyable for different reasons. I also got a soft spot for the second one because it's by far the most ludicrous. I mean, it starts by turning the Universal logo to chrome and bouncing it on hydraulics! And you can see where it would go from there. Meanwhile the first one is a pretty capable blatant and unrepentant ripoff of POINT BREAK so I can see why people might prefer that. Vin Diesel is no Bodhi but does have a similar utter conviction to a laughable philosophy that makes him endearing. -
ok the first one was just Point Break and that was ok... the second one I expected to be absolute rubbish but Singleton actually made it halfway watchable (I must admit I was playing a lot of Need for Speed 2 at that point) and Tokyo Drift was actually quite good!
it's like the reverse of the usual pattern where the sequels get better and better, unlike say... the Indiana Jones movies... -
I'm sorry but I can't watch the original Fast and Furious without going to sleep. 2 Fast was funny enough for me to buy but while the charcters aren't the best in Tokyo Drift, I loved they put the focus on driving. It seemed like the perfect "car" movie and as such I can watch it again and again. F&F, I don't know but if this acts like the sign off film, including cameos by Tyrese and the dude that played Han you know the tie in to Drift, then I might go and see it. I just hope it leaves off the drama and gets the focus back on the cars and speed.
