THE AMPHIBIAN Is Swimming (Or Whatever Amphibians Do) To Theaters!!

Merrick here...
Stone House Pictures is ramping up for a new adaptation of Alexander Belyaev's novel THE AMPHIBIAN (you can find some copies at Amazon).
"Amphibian" follows an American surgeon living in the Amazon who gives his son shark gills to survive a fatal respiratory disease. The young man's underwater life is complicated when he saves a local fisherman's daughter from a shark attack and romantic feelings surface between them.
...says THIS ARTICLE in Hollywood Reporter. So, I got caught in something of a 'Geek Loop' when trying to come up with other famous amphibians. A friend's telling me that...to beamphibian...four legs and cold blood are required. But I always kinda considered the ability to live under water as well as on land the 'geek' definition of amphibious, thus encompassing: Costner in WATERWORLD, that DeLuise dude in SeaQUEST, Aqua Man, Patrick Duffy in THE MAN FROM ATLANTIS...
...and a whole slew of others. Am I wrong in my assertion? And, who am I missing? Does Shark Boy count? Did Shark Boy ever count? THE AMPHIBIAN was already turned into a movie back in 1962 - it was called THE AMPHIBIAN MAN, and you can find much of it YouTubed HERE.
