The First Three + Minutes Of MIRRORS Is Now Online!!
Merrick here...
We've run a few piece referencing trailers for MIRRORS.
Here's the first three minutes & twenty-something seconds of the film from the folks over at IGN.
This is most definitely "red band" content, so use extreme caution when watching it around anyone who may be offended by necks, mirrors, blood, bald guys, locker doors, or florescent lighting. Wouldn't wanna hurt their feelings, don'tcha know.
GO!!!
MIRRORS will be in theaters this Friday.
GO!!!

nothing new to see here...

Can somebody explain this. You know, Harry this does not help your credibility at all if you bowed to some kind of studio pressure.
-
Something is rotten in the State of Texas...
-
If you're over ten years old, aren't you supposed to pretty much understand what it's going to be like?
-
it sucks.
-
Would it be possible to piece together a full, coherent film out of the clips that get released online? I know The Hoolk had quite a few of them. Or, perhaps, could we create our own movie out of the clips? That'd be rad.. and it'd probably be better than the flicks they're selling.
-
first Harry's is gone, then Massawyrm's. Come on, some good Star Wars bashing was going on and now it's gone forever. What am I going to amuse myself with at work now?
-
The only way to enjoy this movie is to look at the director. Alexander Aja made the fantastic french film, High Tension and followed with the very good remake of The Hills Have Eyes. Those two reasons warrant me going to see this movie. Aja is true horror. And I'm sure I will enjoy it.
-
Really enjoyed his take on 'Hills' can't wait to see what he does with Dante's Piranha remake, definitely a talent worth watching.
-
wassamatter, George, the truth hurts?
-
My friend's fat cunt of a wife hated it. She started trashing it the second it started and did not let up the entire time until the credits rolled. Never before have I wanted to bounce a bitch's head off of a coffee table than that night. So I'll see this one, but I'm not bringing my chubby-chasing friend and his wife, Shamu.
-
Been burned by those in the past, but I did enjoy the first Hills Have Eyes and this has Jack Bauer in it so it might not suck.

Stephen Geoffreys (Fright Night, 976-Evil, Heaven Help Us) will be screening his new film at the Vista theatre in LA on August. 16th. His first time back in a horror film in over 18 years...

.....you can't ban opinions or freedom of speech George, jeez Lucas you really have turned into a control-freak-Palpatine-type!
-
Find it or go to rotten tomatoes
-
is it George Lucas who's in charge of this site? what about freedom of speech, damn it!
-
....was crushed beyond repair when he started spewing completely inane and false information regarding HD-DVD and BluRay. "....because backwards compatibility just feels right...." UGH.
-
Guess what folks? This has NOTHING to do with free speech. Reviewers and critics are invited to these advance screenings with the understanding that as a condition they must agree to the terms, namely holding reviews until a certain day. If someone sees a movie, yeah, they can say whatever they want, but if you're going to accept an advance screening invite, you play by their rules.
-
That way we can get a $100 million dollar budgeted 24 movie next fall...
-
I have no idea how that just happened. Some bumped hotkey bullshit, methinks.
Anyway, since I'm here, you folks who loved Haute Tension - did you see some secret version of that film that wasn't complete shit with a plot hole big enough to drive a truck through, which they did?
(credit to Ebert)
As for Aja's take on THHE, 1st off, the Mirrors trailer needs to specify REMAKE, because frankly, Wes Craven is the man behind THHE and all Aja did was muck it up and waste the talent of Ted Levine. -
WHO ARE YOU MIRRORS WORKING FOR?!
-
Sorry but the original Hills Have Eyes was not great and yes Haute Tension did have a shitty plot twist that made the whole movie implausible but that doesn't change the fact that the film was unbelievably intense. Also, the movie made me discover the great band that is Muse so it deserves so much for that too. I even hated the plot twist but still think it's a classic horror film based on the suspense alone.
-
The only good part of the original was the scene where the mother and fiance get killed. The remake perfectly emulated that scene which is just unbearable to watch. Also putting a gun in a baby's face is just awesome. The film also took time to make me care about the family too.
-
Thanks, that post just made my day. Nothing wore than watching a real horror movie with someone who probably only likes PG-13 horror with stars from the latest CW show.
-
Do it. Stare into your eyes. Seriously, put your nose up against it and look directly into your eyes' (reflection). Focus on your eyes and your face starts to fade and gets all blurry. Glimpse into your soul. Not sure you'll like what you see. Totally weirds me out. It's pretty freaky. BTW, I'm 100% drug free.

The mirror scene from DUCK SOUP?
It's not a bad opener, but it's about the 9000th tine we've had the "man fleeing unseen menace" horror intro. -
=genius.
-
And the rest is... ???
-
So what the fuck is this guy running from?
I'll pass. -

Just watch the Scorsese Amazing Stories ep "Mirror, Mirror"
by nasty in the pasty
The ending is kinda lame, but it's pretty creepy and effective up until then. Good Michael Kamen score, as well.
