Like, Bill Frist? What does he have to do with Heroes?

Has anyone watched the alternate ending yet? How is it? I hope that season three is an improvement on last year. At least the producers are even admitting that season two was uneven at best.

Sent someone to investigate a fainting in a high school? "We don't know, that's why we are sending someone over." I'm sure they could have came up with something better than that! Let's hope they put a LOT of thought into season 3 during the writers strike.

The virus is unleashed. Some Primatech employees are infected and pass out. It's in the air. The Sheriff will do nothing about it. Matt makes him listen to Nathan using his powers. Nathan is in charge and they quarantine the town, apparently. Peter causes a landslide on the only bridge in town (in storyboard style, not filmed). Nathan tells the world then collapses as he has the virus. Mama patrelli is on the phone and says "[sic]yes it was inevitable (about Nathan) do you realise that you have opened Pandora's box?" and then hangs up. Did I miss anything?

Yeah this show is pretty terrible. Way too many characters who just suck. I hate the cop who can hear your thoughts and the plot just seems so convoluted. I am going to catch up on Season 2 but I don't know why I even have the urge to do so. I guess I just really like the ads for the new season. I like the whole Level 45 villain idea but I have no hope for this show. I love how so many people talked shit about Lost and praised this show. It's funny how things have turned up but I knew it would end up this way, all along.

...Lost has continuously been a tour de force television program and just wrapped up season 4 which was highly praised and nominated for the best show emmy. MUCH BETTER SHOW THAN...well, anything else out there right now...and I LOVE Heroes...but the second season faltered...I blame the writers strike...just as it was starting to get good: BOOM...no more episodes. I hope they come back with a vengeance...but it'll never beat LOST in my opinion.

People take this stuff so seriously. It is just a TV show. If this season turns out great, you will praising the show, and saying how you knew it would be great. Kring is a god, and all that crap. So, season 2 wasn't as strong as season 1, that is how most TV shows are. Why compare this show to Lost? They are different shows.

Think of the best free agent in a major sport, coming off a solid season. That's what KB was; Lost expressed some interest in her, but not enough. Heroes was, at the time, the place for her to go. She had friends in the cast, and she was a fan of the show already.

Bell had three Emmy nomination-caliber submission tapes for supporting actress in a drama, IMO; Four Months Ago (which she ultimately wound up as her tape), Cautionary Tales and Powerless. Has Rebecca Mader been as good or better? She's been OK. Solid. She's no K-Bell, however.

    by prof. pop-cult

But I doubt things would have worked out better for her had she taken the role of Charlotte on LOST. In case you hadn't noticed, the character Charlotte was kind of under-utilized on that show as well. Fact is, it's going to be really tough to cast KB in another TV series role that was as great as Veronica Mars.

    by mr. zeddemore

Do you think she'd fit in there? She's bright, bubbly, charismatic and funny. No-one on Lost is. Every character is a miserable cipher who has daddy issues. KB works when she's able to bounce off people, you ask her to play stoic and she's not going to do a terribly good job. She's too lively.

    by drtobiasfunke

Because that shit was awful. I refuse to watch a show like that again. The writers assume that their viewers are idiots. Not once in the entire second season does logic enter into the show. Everything that happens is forced just to make the plot "work," which it didn't. :|

Even though I have never read The Stand, know only a moderate amount about Watchmen and don't even know what IT stands for...I do agree with you that just about everyone "borrows" or steals these days...especially in Hollywood where there seems to be nothing new under the sun...but I do find LOST to be a TV show the likes of which I have never experienced...and I am in no way one of those Heroes haters, I love the show...even season 2 and I cannot wait for it to come back for season 3...it will sustain me until Lost returns in 2009. Then I can enjoy both every week.

That's cool. Lost IS a different kind of TV show... in that it's one giant novel. That's not my thing sadly, I want to hit the end of a season and feel there's resolution. If I want to experience a novel, I'll read Stephen King, ya know?

First of all... there's not way that alternate ending would have worked, because Hiro could have just gone back in time and stopped the vial from dropping. That's one of the problems with having a character who can control time like he does (which also makes the "Hiro was gone for months" plot line stupid, but that's been beaten into the ground)
Second... a shot that can give everyone super powers... where have we seen that before... Oh, that's right The 4400. Way to rip off other shows, guys.

If you look at it symbolically, Batman was sacrificing himself for the city of Gotham. Blaming the Joker would have been cheap and easy.If you look at it logically, the Joker was most likely accounted for most of the time Harvey was doing the killing, including the final showdown where Rachel was killed and the cops had the place surrounded. Why did Gordon call the cops to that location? To stop the Joker who was already in lock-up, or to stop Batman who was actually there? What happens when you put the Joker on trial for murders he didn't commit? Does he play along with that, or does he tell everyone about Harvey Two-Face, maybe even finding a way to offer proof? Maybe even to the point where he frees the mob by ruining Dent's character. Maybe even finding a way to blame some of his crimes as a frame job by Dent? Harvey's murders were the Joker's crown jewel, and you know he'll be glad to talk about them in a public forum if you give him a chance. The consequences of that would be much worse than putting Batman on the run.

There were dozens of those guys running around. Easiest frame job ever. You don't even have to frame a person just "unknown costumed viligante" The ending was cool, but didn't make much sense. (Nor did a lot of things, but that doesn't stop it from being a great movie.)

    by inwosuxred

sit down and plan an elborate hoax that satisfied every fanboy while surrounded by cops and dogs who were closing in, instead of a fast on the spot solution that displayed the character's self sacrifice? Again, if you're looking for Batman to find someone else to blame his problems on, you didn't get the movie.
