Unofficial QUANTUM OF SOLACE Theme Song Leaks!

Published at:  Aug 07, 2008 3:14:21 AM CDT

Beaks here...

I just endured the very worst movie of 2008 (if I'm lucky). How to make the pain go away? Let's give a listen to Joe Cornish's highly unsolicited QUANTUM OF SOLACE theme song.

There have been a lot of unfunny viral marketing parodies going around. This is not one of them. I'm generally pleased with the direction of the Bond franchise, but a part of me misses hover-gondolas, too.

    Possible worst films

    by admiralneck

Opening this week, Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants 2 (which will obviously be amazing), Elegy (Ben "The Hood from Thunderbirds" Kingsley glowering at Penelope Cruz for a million hours), Hell Ride (Larry Bishop is a lousy director), and in a couple of weeks the new Woody Allen film, which is a strong contender considering Cassandra's Dream is easily the worst film I've seen this year, even worse than The Happening and 21.

    by mcvamp

He gets in the TB, gets out, rarely repeats himself. I'm voting Doom in 08. The worst Bond song ever is Madonna's "Die Another Day." (Disappointingly played over one of the better Bond opening titles ever, Bond getting his ass kicked in a North Korean prison camp, probably the only worthy part of that movie.) Actually, Pierce Brosnan had THE worst theme songs. GoldenEye was passable if forgettable, then...shit.

    Worst Movie contenders...

    by freakemovie

Considering the date, it could be: Clone Wars, Disaster Movie, Babylon A.D., College, The Rocker, The House Bunny, or Mirrors. Nothing else seems like it could be bad enough to be called the worst movie of the year. I would say Disaster, but I don't know why they would start screening that yet. The Rocker's been screening for a while so that's a possibility. Mirrors and The House Bunny are reasonable contenders. But in terms of a potentially major disappointment, Clone Wars is a big possibility as well.

    Best Brosnan Bond Song...

    by sdeda1us

was KD Lang's "Surrender." Why they dumped it for Sheryl Crow's song, I'll never know. For me, the Lang song had that classic bond feel - and it was a nice orchestra theme throughout the action pieces in the flick. I think that A View To a Kill's theme song really was a blessing and a curse. Blessing because, hey, nice song. Curse because Bond films needed "chart toppers" rather than quality songs. Also, A View to a Kill the song reminds me that A View to a Kill the movie actually happened.
