Clippage From NBC’s BOURNEy New Christian Slater Series!! It’s No Surprise To Me It Is MY OWN WORST ENEMY!!

Published at:  Aug 06, 2008 4:44:31 PM CDT

I am – Hercules!!

NBC has "My Own Worst Enemy," a new show coming this autumn that stars Christian Slater as an efficiency expect and suburban family man who doesn’t know he’s also some sort of deadly secret agent.

The great Jason Smilovic (“Karen Sisco,” “Kidnapped”) was the showrunner (and presumably wrote the pilot) but he’s already been succeeded by John Eisendrath, who wrote some of the earliest (i.e. best) episodes of “Alias.”

The pilot just finished shooting and we have a clip hot off the AVid:

It would please me enormously, NBC, if you ponied up for the fucking Lit song.

The smoke alarm is going off,
And there's a cigarette still burning,
Please tell me whyyyyyyy my car is in the front yard
And I'm sleeping with my clothes on
Came in through the windowwwwwww last night
And you’re
Gone

DOOM was approached for the pilot and respectfully declined. However, DOOM still feels that "None Are Worthy Enemies of DOOM, Save DOOM," would've been a much more enjoyable hour of programming!

    Um, yeah...I don't get it.

    by executor

How long are we going to have to suffer through Christian Slater's split personality? Is it going to be fun to watch him piece together his life? (and if he does, then isn't the premise of the show out the window???) Cause that clip, that clip was NOT fun. Yawn. Early casuality.

Well, at least he doesn't look over the hill

    by valar1

He still looks okay. I thought he'd be more decrepit by now. Also that chick who was in the intelli-shark movie with Thomas Jane and LLCoolJ is playing the psychiatrist- now that chick looks old! Feels like only yesterday I was downloading her bikini pix from that shark movie.

    The Long Kiss Goodnight

    by napoleon park

I'm just sayin', all the folks who were here last year claiming Journeyman was Quantum Leap should be here now pointing out that this show is "The Long Kiss Goodnight".If this show is a hit can I be the jerkhole who comes to each "My Own Worst Enemy" talkback and just posts "The Long Kiss Goodnight"? Can I put it in all-caps?

Not a particularly action packed preview but its got potential. And I like Slater, loved him in that scarface based movie he was in.

Is it just a coincidence that the pussy-Slater is named is Henry, and the ass-kicker-Slater is named Edward?

    The Lit Song...

    by theeleventhdoctor

...has no place in a show like this. It doesn't match what they're going for at all. Now if the show was a spoof, hell yeah. A song like that would fit something like "Chuck" better than this.

    Not horrible

    by throwmetheidol

But definitely not involving. The therapist's fake lips were distracting too. It didn't leave me with any anticipation and I like spy type shows.

    Too many Slater haters!

    by malificus

I only said that 'cause it rhymes..poorly. Still like old Slater, just one of those guys you want to stay around, who knows? Maybe he could score the kind of role that would make you care again, like say...Robert Downey Jr.? Slate seems cool, I dunno, his head's kinda round and the concept is derivative, but what isn't these days?

    Slater on Monday Night Football

    by classyfredblassy

A few years back when they had "celebrities" stopping by the booth to chat during the game.
He was asked during the broadcast "So you are a big football fan?", to which he replied "no, but I have some friends that are". Great, thanks for wasting our time, shit head. To make it worse, he was trying to peddle the "alone in the dark" film. Send that tool back prison please. No fuck off. PS: Brett Farve is now a NY JET. Now he gets to loose to the Bills twice a year.

At best, there are maybe 8 shows on TV worth watching...

    by thedarklinglord

And one network really out to come along and purchase them all, then kill off all the other networks because I'm tired of having to flip channels.
