I am – Hercules!!

Marc Bernardin, Adam Freeman and Nima Sorat’s 2007 AiT/PlanetLar graphic novel “Monster Attack Network” is in the works for a Disney feature adaptation.

The book follows a group of men and women hired to handle tropical Lapuata Island's ongoing onslaught of Godzilla-ish giant-monster attacks.

The Hollywood Reporter adds:

… a team of adventurers deal with rampages and related crises and clean up messes afterwards. The team faces its biggest challenge when a shady industrialist shows up.

    Godzilla Final Wars was OK...

I think the rubber suit genre has finally reached it's cultural peak. It's time now for a re-invention like Planet of the Apes, or a flashback type homage like Death Proof. In any case, you cannot deny the appeal of a giant rubber suit versus cartoony melodramatic CGI animation. I think Cloverfield did a swell job of re-imagining and harkening back to old disaster flicks while utilizing modern technology. The question is: Do you like the cheese, or do you prefer the realism?

W.B. developing graphic novel/Universal developing graphic novel/Paramount developing graphic novel. Yep, I definitely think graphic novels are set to become the new spec script. At least when you write a graphic novel you have more to show than an unproduced screenplay.

    I read M.A.N.

    by brattyben

It was kinda cool, but, I really wasn't that impressed. The story was kinda paced too quick, the characters weren't engaging, and the art was kinda shitty. THe back covered compared him to Paul Pope!! Bullshit.
However, if Disney will probably do a pretty good job of making it engaging, and the story and all that would really work well in a PG vein. Hope they pull it off.

    Need good monster action

    by japanese godzilla destroys hollywood

As long as the monster action is good, and as long as it's not a rip off of Godzilla then it should turn out to be entertaining.
