    The Shit?

    by stalfos

It's called "the shit" and there's paint balls? Are they going to shoot poop...balls at you?

  • July 30, 2008, 2:14 a.m. CST

    by stalfos

    And I'm classy.

  • July 30, 2008, 2:41 a.m. CST

    uh...bad idea

    by jrbarker

You're going to shoot audience members with paintballs? Count me out. That sounds terrible. I'll have to pay opening weekend not to be pelted.

    this movie was fantastic

    by Jubba

good luck with your insurance covering the shooting of patrons with paintballs. in toronto, all we had to do to get into the screening is show up on time.

  • July 30, 2008, 3:15 a.m. CST

Actually - the folks getting shot will be

Members of AICN, The Alamo Drafthouse and Paramount.

    Pussies scared of paintballs

    by infallible

I sent in my notice many hours ago, before there was any assurance that I wouldn't be shot at. If you don't have the BALLS to take on THE SHIT, then you have no business at this screening. Am I right, Knowles??

  • July 30, 2008, 5:39 a.m. CST

    you are right

AICN - Alamo - Tropic Thunder! You guys rock. I sent my request, and can't wait to be there. I told my wife we had to be shot by paintballs, and she says she's ready for it. She's a trooper - but I ain't going to tell her she doesn't have to just yet!

  • July 30, 2008, 8:41 a.m. CST

you mean we don't get shot at with paintballs?

    by mefrog

That's a damn shame. I would be looking forward to that.

    Is it just me...

    by Rando Calrisian

Or does that pic of Fred Williamson at the top of the page look exactly like Robert Downey Jr? Or is it the other way around?

  • July 30, 2008, 9:08 a.m. CST

    Rando Calrisian

    by Ted Brautigan

I thought the same exact thing about that picture of Williamson.

  • July 30, 2008, 1:16 p.m. CST

I got to see this film in March

    by BrightEyes

and I didn't even have to get shot with paintballs to see it. Instead I got a large popcorn, sprite and a hotdog. That sure set me in the mood.

    i once had a magic jean jacket . . .

    by Saint Andeol

. . . that paintballs would bounce off of. hurt like a motherfucker, but they didn't count. Also, I saw a guy get shot in the balls and foam at the mouth.

    What'choo meee "you peepoh?" <squint>

    by Project424

Oh, man, this may just be the greatest comedy in ages. I've got a thing for Downey, Jr. and I am already waiting in line. Even if he is the only one who delivers, and the rest suck uncircumcised geriatric penis, I'll be happy. I can't believe I am hyped up for a Ben Stiller picture.

  • July 30, 2008, 10:42 p.m. CST

    Any word on this?

    by jrbarker

    I'd like to see this.

I'm gorging on the hype - can't wait to see this damn movie. That all being said, movies that have loads o inside jokes about moviemaking notoriously flop. As much as I loved it, "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" anybody?

  • July 31, 2008, 12:19 a.m. CST

Is that Fantastic Fest list the whole list?

    by jrbarker

Or just the badge holder list?
