Fortunately, we were spared a return of WONDERFALLS. How PUSHING DAISIES' pursed-lipped man-boy-girl 'hero' managed to get another season is really beyond me. I guess it really speaks of the feminization of American culture.

They said (and I was there) that they would LIKE to consider it in the future - but for now they wanted Ned to be the special one in his world and didn't want to have other "magical" people coming along just yet to take away from his special abilities.
So - they never said it was a for sure thing, or even this season.
They did also say they wanted a musical episode.

You clearly haven't been around here long if you think "most people have never heard of it". It's overrated by AICNers, and those not aware of it don't have any worse a life for that, so leave it dead. Dead Like Me, on the other hand, was brilliant, that should be brought back, but not at the expense of cheapening Pushing Daisies.

    by flickchick85

Dead Like Me lost Fuller early on, and it showed. I loved it, don't get me wrong, and it certainly had its moments of brilliance, but it suffered from being pulled into too many directions. I think I'll eventually love Pushing Daisies more than Wonderfalls, but it hasn't had a chance to totally find its footing yet (long-term direction mainly).
Yay for Wonderfalls crossovers. And I agree, Jaye MUST make an appearance, if only for the in-joke about her brother. But really, Caroline Dhavernas is awesome, and should really be in more American movies/TV.

    by drath

I liked both shows and on a very very superficial maybe just on a fortune-cookie brief written description kind of a way they resembled each other, but to watch them was to see two way different shows, as different as Touched by an Angel and Dead Like Me (I think, I never actually watched Touched by an Angel, but I think it was probably sentimental because of the title). Joan of Arcadia wasn't 7th Heaven bad, but it sure seemed like it next to Wonderfalls. Sadly both shows and Tru Calling were ditched by dipshit network executives. **************************** Isn't it going to be odd for Jaye to see Ned, who looks identical to her brother Aaron? Otherwise, I'd love to see her!!!

I just don't see a couple dozen passionate fans of a show equating to said show being overrated, but I guess that's all a matter of perspective. I loved it, but if you hated it, I guess I could see how a couple of dozen fans could be a couple of dozen too much.

I Netflix'd WONDERFALLS and liked it, but...

    by mcvamp

It gave me serious "sophomore slump" vibes...probably for the best that it became more of a miniseries (albeit a long one) than a regular series. The talking trinkets gimmick was starting to show its wrinkles and could have been horrible in a second go-round. But the lead was amazingly cute and the season for what it was ended on a solid, satisfying note.

It merely isn't as great as everyone keeps saying. Like The Dark Knight. I have no problem with Wonderfalls obsessions living on in AICNers' hearts, but when their rabid love causes characters to be brought into existing (and better imo) tv shows, then I'm wary, is all.
