i live in scranton. it sucks.
-
Sucks that the preview of the first episode or whatever wasn't included in the clip; everything else was stupid and pointless. WTF does only the stupid fans get to ask questions?
-
Did it pick up towards the end?
-
we are in the 21st century...every fuckin panel could be streamcast...a fee could be charged for entry to the site..and if they were worried about clips making it to the net, you stop the cast during those points...the con would then have an added revenue stream, and i would be able to watch the comic panels...when are those fucks gonna get it together...they could expand the con from the 125k to millions
-
..yes, i complete waste of time. for the most part, people who ask questions at comic-con are usually people who just want to see themselves on the jumbo screen, or just want to have some sort of mediated contact with their fvorite fan. Quesitons like, "how did you prepare yourself for that role" or just statements like "OH I LOVE YOU!" always happen. 1 out of every 10 questions actually serve some purpose. The Watchmen panel mediator Jeff Jenson actually asked really good questions (not just at the watchmen panel). He actually adressed the white elephant in the room with Alan Moore and his involvement to Dave Gibbons. It made for interesting stuff. Someone should have asked hwy season 2 was so bad, why Kring apologized, and how Fuller's absence affected the show. Too bad all the questions came from tools...and children.
-
that no matter what she wears...she has no cleavage...but goddamn, check out those shoulders...chick could be the first midget linebacker
-
They killed George Takai and lots of other characters I liked for no good reason, the story was confused and stupid and like others I gave up watching it since it only made me mad. Season Two was an Abortion and completely sucked and I won't be wasting my time hoping it gets better. To recap - Season One was great. Season Two sucked. Season Three - I'll check back later.
-
I bet it's nice n' musky in there
-
kring and the gang are shitting bricks...showing the entire first epi to create a buzz, then telling the crowd to talk about it and also bringing the entire cast down for what really was a screening...dont know if any press junket was held afterwards, but it doesnt matter much...this was a controlled event...no way was it going to be a deep discussion on how fucked up the series became...shit, they had people camping out...dont think any other panel had that....note, lost inst worried, they brought no one...best panels i have seen so far are watchmen and zack and miri make a porno, which was fucking hilarious...katie morgan shouldnt have to do another porn shoot ever after this film, that girl is adorable...but as for heroes, as they didnt take my suggestion and dump kring as showrunner, i dont hold out much hope...oh, but loeb needs to sit down with his pal miller and talk to him about how to hold a crowd
-
What a moron loser!
They pretty much all were. You could ask anything you want from the series in past or future and this is the shit we get?
I would have asked if a bigger Sylar/Milo battle was coming up. The first season ender could have been so much more. -
then he wasnt a moron...but judging by the quality of female flesh in the audience...i doubt he got any...he shoulda been there for the twilight crowd, filled with horny tweeners who think that vampires are celibate and like opening doors for girls...man, i really want my con back
-
Ive never seen Kring, but it's exactly how I imagined him. Kind of like my crazy next door neighbor. Completely agree with what youre saying. Such a bad PR move, it makes me sick to my stomach. Are they embracing the fact that no one with the right mind will watch this anymore, and this is only a child's show? There were SO MANY kids there, more than any other panel I have seen in comic-con history. Some kids in back of me were annoying the jesus out of me cause they kept asking me questions about batman, cameras and the ocean. And it wasnt like cute little kids questions, it was bratty 12-14 year old quesitons. If they are pandering to a childish audience now, that's the way to go. They need to save themselves. The same people who watch lost, bsg, and even pushing daisies arent watching heroes anymore. they need to save themselves somehow. Oh, and Jeff Loeb lost most of my respect for him.
-
was slightly more entertaining than Season 2.
-
No, they didn't discuss anything important, but that wasn't the point. The point of the panel was 1) for the cast to show up to recover for the blunder that was Season 2, and 2) to preview Season 3. In both respects, they accomplished what they came to do.
Here are my comic con reports and pics: http://tinyurl.com/6yg3vh -
the only honest one on the panel..."grateful"... no shit...check out the dude's alimony payments (and god, his ex was smokin hot)so now the worth of his art has exploded and he is making a ton of scratch...and he looks better than ive seen him in years....and loeb is turning into stan lee...huckster extrodinaire....booya
-
a show into its 3rd year should not have to show the entire first 2 hour epi to an audience to create buzz...clips should be fine...con audiences like to hear from the stars...you guys got a 5 minute q&a with lots of filler and peeps wanting to ramble (except for the blind gal, that was nice) seems to me that the audience reaction to the epi was mixed...not what you want...but dang, christine rose is hawt
-
you compared the con to e3...fuck, if that is what the con is now, im gonna be fucking sick...and you arent the only one to use that comparison, so it must be true, and therefore the con has lost its soul...btw, the exact same type of accident occured on the 5 on the thursday of the con in 2001...the year hollywood started its takeover...god is a comic book fan...he wants this to stop too....get the hint con organizers

Hope so...

Save the Cheerleader, Save the World catch phrase; blew it to smithereens. Since he now has her regeneration power, and she's still alive in spite of it...I heard somewhere that Elle was going to be the one to put Sylar on the 90-day DL so Zach Q could film Star Trek, then have some way to bring him back into the fold. Then the strike, the toxic gift that keeps on giving to this day, squashed any hope of that. I think Sylar should have been bumped off.
-
questions about season 2. We knew it blew, they knew it blew. Hence, the strategy changed; have the season 3 premiere in hand, limit the Q&A and everybody (almost) will go away happy since they saw the first episode before the rest of the country will. Remember, there were supposed to be only clips of 'Villains', not the entire premiere. It was changed at the last minute.
-
A few things. 1) We never saw Claire die in 1x20. It was assumed that she did, but all we saw was Sylar START to take her brain. Now at the time they didn't know about Adam or immortality likely; but her death occured off-screen within the first showing, so there's room for manouverability. As for Claire not dying here, Sylar doesn't eat the brains, and regenerators can reverse a mind-wipe, so maybe the brain heals itself. Yeah, it's a stretch.
-
claire gets the stick in the head...the stick gets pulled out...she lives...the problem with the storyline of sylar getting claires powers is not that she dies, its that the world is doomed if sylar cannot be killed...however, im gonna stick to my hope that someone went to kring and proposed doing at least one arc of all the alternative time lines intersecting...ando has a power right? where does that come from?
-
The Office panel was so fun, like hanging out with 15 hilarious people.I can barely sit through the latest Heroes episodes, so I won't even attempt to watch that panel.
-
the only reason why the long halloween, and even dark victory, stand at the pedestal of great comics is because of sale's art.
-
Did anyone report on any of Marvel's animation panels? Their site says they screened all of the Wolverine vs Hulk cartoon and they had a panel for Spectacular Spider-Man that talked about season 2 and even had Robert England attending, also a panel for some sort of young avengers cartoon and a screening of the new X-Men cartoon but if you look at the con reports, you'd have to figure this stuff never happened. I guess that stuff is too close to comics rather that movies, which are the only reason to have a comic convention.

"Frank Miller has apparently given "Watchmen" and "300" director Zac Snyder his blessing to shoot a film version of his most famous comic - the Batman tale "The Dark Knight Returns"."Torchwood" star John Barrowman has hinted that discussions have been taking place about him possibly starring as Captain America in Marvel's "The First Avenger: Captain America".

just got a DUI!!! Bwa-HA HA HA HA
-
It's like the terrible writing from season 2 wasn't a fluke. I can't believe they haven't fired anyone from the writing staff yet. I mean, there's something in the first episode that's as bad as George Lucas' midichloridians bullshit. It destroys the whole mythos behind the show.
-
was way more entertaining than this. True fact.
