Heads will Roll.... Take a look at SLEEPY HOLLOW... why dontcha'

Published at:  Jun 09, 1999 5:15:38 PM CDT

Hey folks... Ya know what? Guess where I am? I'm at the Moriarty Lair. All these decomposing types with strange archaic bizarre copper and bronze mechanisms twisting and turning and making obnoxious noises about NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK... Man... Moriarty never fully explained to me why he went insane... I'm beginning to understand.

Ok, take a look at these images I found laying about Moriarty's Lair. You wouldn't believe some of this stuff. He's been holding out on me! His next plan has something to do with a WATTO drink top, a book called DIET FOR A NEW AMERICA, and an Oxford Spanish Dictionary. While he was busy beating his underlings and minions, I found these images in a throwaway in the far corner of the room. Take a look folks! Can't you just tell that the beauty of Emmanuel Lubezki's (cinematographer for LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE, A LITTLE PRINCESS, GREAT EXPECTATIONS) camera is loving these sets and images. I tell you... this movie will be luminous. Burton/Depp/Horror/decapitations/mystical weirdness!!! This is gonna rock.... I hope...

    Needs more details

    by wemdog1

Okay... so, what was the point to this little entry? What was the "Cool News" here?

As far as this movie is concerned, I sure hope to hear some old school Edward Scissorhands/Batman style Danny Elfman out of this. He's been getting to "weird and kooky" with his music these past several years. I am not saying it isn't good music, but he hasn't done anything really kick ass since Batman Returns. My two cents...

I can't wait for this movie!!! Whoever said "where's the cool news?".... well it's cool to me alright! Which one is Moriarty? I always get him and Robogeek confused. Moriarty's the cool one and Robogeek is the one who spazzed out on talkback that one time and started calling everyone a nimrod, right? Anyways... I hope that link to the script above is the real script cuz im going there to read it right now! Well I'll see y'all later. bye bye

    Spooky.

    by webhead

I'm just spooked looking at these pictures. Mr Burton was DEFINATELY the one to direct this movie, unlike a movie about a cirtain Kryptonian.

This movie will be really cool, no doubt about it.

    by corran fox horn

This movie will be cool. As to they poster who said Danny Elfman, my favorite composer besides Hans Zimmer for action, hadn't done a good score since Batman Returns. Puhleaze. What about Men In Black, Mission: Impossible, Nightmare before Christmas, Black Beauty, Good Will Hunting, and a bunch of others?

    The Importance of Ricci's Cleavage

    by captainberryman

LET ME HANDS UPON THE WONDERMENT!!! SWEET JESUS!! That aside...as my hormones subside...this looks like it will kick ass. It looks like Burton getting back to his roots and I FREAKING love it. I am so jazzed for this flick now. Where do I sign up? Johnny Depp could act circles around most of the misfits in Hollywood these days...and Christina Ricci?? Oh GOD...talent AND a bod. Damn. I haven't been this geared up for a film since SAVANNAH SMILES...er...I mean since T2. Ummm...yeah. Can't wait to see it...Dripping with anticipation. Gotz to havz it. End Transmission.

PUKE! That script was terrible! Please tell me it's not real or else this movie is going to suck! I have loved each and every Tim Burton product that has ever been released, but what was that??? It was like Hellraiser 5 meets I dunno but hey it was pretty fuckin bad with some neat gore moments! ::shudders:: Anyways... oh I am so disturbed by that. I won't be able to sleep because of how awful that script was. Seriously man, that was TERRIBLE!

    script was good -small spoiler

    by exarkun

I enjoyed the script, looks like a great gothic hooror flick with great actors cool music and excellent tim burton. The only thing I didn't like was the basic plot
behind the moitivation for the killing, pretty much used in every movie, feels like a western.
Besides that minute point, this movie is going to be great, the visuals should be amazing and not all cgi crap.
    Can't wait to see this!

    by captego

So, I'm getting the impression I'm the only one who thinks that the associated pics with this story make Sleepy Hollow look, well *Dorky*! Since when was Ichabod 'Scissorhands' a 'cyber-punk'? I'm actually quite fond of Tim's flics but the goggles are just plain silly. Get a grip kiddies.

Not to be picky, KS but...

    by quiscustodiet

...are you saying you completely understand the world of Ichabod Crane as presented by the script? "a conservative finger waggling exercise decked out with surface value sleaze that refuses a realistic understanding of that world." And exactly how does one present a realistic understanding of a world that doesn't exist? Does it mean staying true to the world as presented in the script? Or staying true to the world as if it were our world? (A futile effort if I've ever heard one). And while I appreciate your perspective on the script (I do, I'm not being sarcastic) I can't see how it could be defined as conservative, or any of Burton's movie's for that matter. Here's a man who has rallyed (that doesn't look like the correct spelling, ah well) against the norm and the sameness of the world that conservatives by definition of their name wish to maintain! Just curious! Again, I want to say, this is not an attack, I would just like another perspective that difers from mine!

    The Sleepy Hollow script

    by w. leach

Thanks to a Talk-backer, I was able to finally read the script to SLEEPY HOLLOW, a project I have been following for the past eight months. What can I say? Andrew Kevin Walker redeems himself after 8mm. SLEEPY HOLLOW is a great horror/mystery story filled with beheadings and gory carnage. It is definitely going to be scarier than any horror film of recent years. I just hope the material is faithfully recreated on screen. With Tim Burton directing, I'm sure this will be the case. Oh, does anyone know if the script for MAN ON THE MOON is online? This is another one I'm dying to read.
