Seth Green is making a sequel to his Emmy-nominated “Robot Chicken: Star Wars,” and it hits the Cartoon Network Nov. 16.
Returning from the first special are Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Ahmed Best, Conan O'Brien and Breckin Meyer. Andy Richter is among the franchise’s newcomers.
The Hollywood Reporter describes:
As for the creative direction in the sequel, "we decided to focus on the bounty hunters a bit and explore their stories," "Robot Chicken" co-creator Matt Senreich said.

A special edition Robot Chicken dvd with all the episodes of Star Wars parody. A Return of the Jedi themed episode can't be more than a few years away. Just something for you people to keep in mind before you go out and buy a dvd of the single 23 minute episode.

and considering I bought it for $8.99, I think it was well worth it. No point in waiting it out in the hope that years from now there will be some super-huge set. I will have enjoyed this DVD many, many times by then.

Family Guy IS making another Star Wars episode, and they have been doing it FOR A LONG TIME! When the Blue Harvest DVD came out MONTHS ago, they showed concept art and voice recordings for the next Star Wars Family Guy episode. THERFORE THEY STARTED LIKE A YEAR AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Robot Chicken is just now making this?!?!?!? Yeah, THEY are copying... And the same goes for the first FG and RC SW episodes: Though The RC episode came first, the FG Blue Harvest was in development LONG before. The sad thing is none of this truly matters because Seth Green is ON FUCKING FAMILY GUY! Him and McFarlane are great freinds, and they discused the idea of SW-themed episodes of their own shows from the start. I HATE YOU V'SHAEL! I HATE YOU!

I always laugh when I see the one where the superheroes are carpooling to work and they look over at the car next to them in the traffic jam and it's the supervillains. And the one where the He-Man villains accidentally actually kill He-Man is very funny even though I've seen it before. I think to the extent that it's possible to laugh at ANY sketch comedy twice, it's possible for Robot Chicken.

Writing quality has gone way down. They are substituting graphic violence for their usual dead on satire and mocking. Seems like Seth is mad at the world!

Really? I'm a big Family Guy defender but their Star Wars episode contained almost no comedy, it was like they focused more on showing off their ability to do shot-for-shot recreations than they did on the satire. The only thing that made me laugh in Blue Harvest was the casting as the effeminate gay guy as Greedo, that was perfect, and the whole 'listing lazily to the left' rant.

Everything all the Herc-a-loids here bitch about on Family Guy is not only present in Robot Chicken, its magnified. Yet, somehow Family Guy is the worst thing ever happen to the world, and Robot Chicken is original and funny. I wonder why this article didn't have a picture of a manatee in a tank on top of it. Why is that Herc?

You are wrong, whether Green and McFarlane are buddies or not Robot Chicken did the Star Wars parody first, obviously Family Guy is, once again, merely copying what other series, like the Simpsons for instance, did years ago and much better. I like Family Guy basically, but use your head, Robot Chicken is almost entirely parody who would be most likely to do so first, especially since Chicken had Star Wars clips in it long before they did a full episode of it. Family Guy is notorious from day one for ripping off the Simpsons left and right, shamelessly I might add. It's simply the lowest common denominator humor ripped from people much more creative and funnier than they are, fact. Take a great Simpsons bit, add feces, s&m or homosexuality and you got Family Guy, THE formula for McFarlane's undeserved success. Pitch a hissy fit if you want, everyone knows what a hack McFarlane is. Never before has a hack reaped richer benefit from his obvious hackdom than old McFarlane, what a total dick.

The reason Robot Chicken will ALWAYS be greater than Family Guy is because watching spastic puppets kick the shit out of each other is infinitely cooler than the ass-ugly 'animation' based off McFarlane's shit drawings.

Sorry, but Robot Chicken is kind of like a late 90's "Loaded Weapon" movie--there are lots of middling, unfunny jokes, and every once ina while, there's a good laugh. I'm not entirely sure why this show is still around. Family Guy's "Empire Strikes Back" will be undoubtedly better and much more watchable. Sorry, Seth.

It has been less than funny lately. Stopped recording it. Only thing I check on Cartoon Network now is Venture Bros. That show is damn funny. Anyone else see Monarch screwing that robot? Hilarious.

I actually really liked Blue Harvest and Im pretty sure Im going to like something something something dark side. You know why. Because the poster for the episode on the link above shows that Cloud City is purple. I dont know why, but the Idea of a black Mort in a giant purple floating city makes me laugh.

Robot Chicken had done a few Star Wars parodies during regular episodes before they ever did the entire Star Wars themed show, that's a fact. They also announced their intention to do a full Star Wars episode before Family Guy announced theirs, which just lends credence to my long-held belief of what an also-ran hack McFarlane is, as if watching Family Guy in general doesn't do that enough. Tell me there was one thing as funny in Blue Harvest as Jar Jar ripping that helmet off Vader and exclaiming:"Ohhhh Annie, what happened to you?" or Boba Fett taunting the frozen Han Solo (So-slow)"Down..goes..Solo..."

Where does he get off? Knocking the last few seasons of the Simpsons? Deliver one good one yourself you hack, the Simpsons first 8 did it so much better than Family Guy could ever dream of and without the Simpsons there wouldn't even BE prime time cartoons on major networks. NOW while conveniently ignoring the fact that it was one of the best comedies ever on TV for years and years. Family Guy cannot even TOUCH that pedigree seeing as how Family Guy has NEVER COME CLOSE to being as good as the Simpsons when it was at it's best. Who gives a frog's fat ass how much it sucks NOW when there's 8 seasons of greatness already in the can? You cunts are all about: "What have you done for me lately?" The Simpsons has already given you Family Guy dicks better than you deserve so give it up constantly railing about how Family Guy is better, because IT NEVER WAS AS GOOD AND NEVER WILL BE! The Simpsons could air half hour showcases of Moe squishing cockroaches in his bar at this point and as lame as that would be even THAT would show up 6 months later on Family Guy. From stealing Stewie's look from Jimmie Corrigan to ripping King of the Hill's Boomhaur for Quagmire McFarlane has never ONCE come up with an original concept, he's like the Weird Al Yankovic of cartoons, goofing on material that already has built-in success and thusly feeding off it like a leech, at least Weird Al is a supremely nice guy. McFarlane is a HACK pure and simple. You can laugh at Family Guy, I do on occasion,but don't even TRY and make that shit show into something greater than it is, a hodgepodge of stolen ideas and concepts done better elsewhere. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, that doesn't make it a Bulova.

No one is saying The Simpsons isn't one of TV greatest shows

...but that was in the past. When people step up and claim that the show is as fresh and hilarious as ever, that's when people object. I love those early Simpsons. They are the best. And I feel that qualifies me to stand up and say the show has been lacking quality the last few season. I know what good comedy writing is. I've seen it in The Simpsons. I just haven't seen it lately. You could Google "Simpsons not funny anymore" and get thousands of hits. It's not a lone opinion.
