E! blogger Ben Lyons and longtime TCM host Ben Mankiewicz have been named to replace the Chicago Sun-Times’ Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper on Disney’s long-running movie-review show. Lyons’ dad Jeffrey (with Neal Gabler) succeeded Ebert and Gene Siskel on “Sneak Previews” in 1982 when Siskel and Ebert moved their act from PBS to Tribune Entertainment. Roeper will continue at the Disney show until the weekend of Aug. 15. The new critics’ first show will air three weeks later. Read all of Variety’s story on the matter here.
