WEEDS Gets 5th and 6th Seasons!! Diablo Cody Series TARA Due Early ’09!! More BULLSHIT!! Showtime News!!

News from Showtime’s TCA Event:
* The channel has ordered 26 more episodes of “Weeds,” comprising the series’ 5th and 6th seasons.
* “The L Word” concludes next year with eight new episodes but will also spawn a spinoff starring one (as yet unnamed) actress from the mother series.
* “Bullshit!” Showtime’s longest running current series, will be back for a 10-episode 7th season.
* Diablo Cody’s multiple-personality series for Steven Spielberg, “United States of Tara,” is slated to debut early next year.
* “Nurse Jackie” is the name of Edie Falco’s new series, which should debut next summer.
* The channel has ordered six half-hour episodes of “Lock ‘N Load,” a reality show about a gun store.

Brotherhood, Dexter, and Californication? Showtime has really surpassed HBO in the original series department and like when HBO dominated 5 years ago, it isn't even close.

Next to Lost and 24, my 2 favorite shows. I hope Brotherhood is also coming back this fall....

The fifth episode was particularly strong. I just love it when long running shows find new life and become reinvigorated in their fourth and fifth years.

Tried watching it.. got through 3 episodes and i was bored as hell.
The pacing is bad and you dont care about the characters at all.. they arent that engaging.
Weeds and Dexter are the best shows on Showtime I think.
Couldnt really get into the other shows at all, even with renting them from Netflix after they showed. -
The L Word is amazing, and Alice is the best character on it.

Old, fat and the butt of every nasty joke imaginable on this show. And for the next Joker....got to be Mary Louise Parker.

Caught up on season 3 on DVD. Don't know if I can wait till next summer for season 4. Is it downloadable anywhere. I don't want to spend for Showtime for one series.
