Have a look at STUART LITTLE!

Published at:  Jun 08, 1999 9:57:08 PM CDT

Hey folks, here's a bit showing the sort of body language this little Michael J Fox voiced ball of fur in a set of Ken's clothes looks like. He's supposed to be among the most adorable little things we'll ever get to see on film this year. But is it the next BABE? Well, it might very well be... but Moriarty seems to have a mad on at this project. I don't know all the details, so all I can say is I hope and pray it has the smarts, the love, the charm, the magic and the whimsy of BABE. If it doesn't... then that's a big waste of resources. But... I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I'm hoping Moriarty is a bit out of touch on this one. No... I really really do. Here's another thanks to El Lurio...

    by snapt

As a kid, that picture would've given me nightmares. Where's the silver screen production of THE MOUSE & THE MOTORCYCLE, or that book series about the kids who lived in a boxcar? STUART LITTLE sucked ass! * Please Visit My Site: http://www.superosity.com *

    What the hell is this?!!!!!

    by deckard2019

Can someone tell me what layer of hell this movie is being released in, cuz I sure don't want it released here! Kids movies are one thing, but I doubt anyone old enough to feed themself would want to sit through this.

    I'm looking forward to it

But then again, I'm an animation junkie, and this movie *looks* terrific. I'll watch it on those merits alone. Moriarty, I hear you say that the screenplay's been raped by Hollywood and destroyed, and I trust you, but I'd like to judge that for myself. Does it exist online or in some downloadable format?

    Hey, come on...

    by jayseaver

It's at least got Hugh Laurie in it. I know, he's done some crap, but he's one of the funniest guys there is. Even if the rest of what I hear is not so hot, I'll at least take a chance on Geena Davis and Hugh Laurie.

    E.B. White

    by smilin'jackruby

For those of you deprived as children, E.B. White's "Stuart Little" is a damn fine book in the quiet tradition of "A Cricket in Times Square" or another of White's masterpieces, "Charlotte's Web." Okay, these are real children's books and I'm not expecting this to be one of my favorite films ever. HOWEVER, if they take a book with that good a story and do a faithful rendering that kids will really, really like...hell, yes. I'd line up behind that one. Even though I felt "Harriet the Spy" didn't really stick to the book, I thought it had the heart of the text on screen. May "Stuart Little" do the same.

    I smell a rat!

    by spike lee

I think I saw something about this film awhile back on Entertainment Tonight, and I could of swarn that the voice of that rat was of Johnathan Lipnicki (kid from Jerry McGuire). What ever happened to Genna Davis doing a live action version of Sailor Moon?

    Get a life AICN users!

    by henry fool

There is a plague infesting Harry Knowles wonderful gift to people with a modem, or at least an annoying cold. This infection can be found in every series of talk backs, no matter what the story is. It is, in a word, negativity. Now, I'm not one to criticize people for the act of being critical. Criticism is a necessary form of communication that is important, especially as it pertains to people who work in the arts and their mastery of their craft. But on every AICN post there seem to be a group of people who seem to revel in prematurely hating whatever they see just to revel in being able to express their misguided views. It's really pathetic. I know we are all entitled to our opinions, but to say 'I KNOW THIS IS GOING TO SUCK!' after having a glance at one picture from a film. Stuart Little, for instance, is clearly a childrens film based on a book by one of the most respected childrens authors of all time. I write this post to humbly and politely request that AICN users start showing some intelligence in the garbage they often post, and if they don't have anything useful to say, follow the wisdom of Dr. Dennis Leary and practice "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" therapy. There are many insightful posts on this web site which are overshadowed by the burdening negativity of web geeks who don't get out enough, can't get laid, and are, in general, pissed off at the world. Y'all are just ruining the whole fun of this forum for everyone else, but then, I suppose that's the point isn't it?

    Negativity part deux.

    by henry fool

I never said that I didn't think people shouldn't be allowed to post their opinions, I just said they should actually think about them before they do. I know so many people who hate coming on the AICN talk back because of people like yourselves. I'm curious, though, given the articulate quality of your post. Since your parents must have communicated through a series of clicks and grunts, exactly when did you acquire the facility of speech, much less learn to type?
