Has it been too long? Was last season just overly boring? Have the comic book movies recently raised the bar too high? Could I ask any more questions?
-
They don't need to try that hard do they?
-
The end of that makes it look like we'll get some warped future versions of these people. Will they get stuck in the present and duke it out with themselves?

Other than that, I welcome some genuine antagonists. The main obstacle to the heroes so far has been their own inability to coordinate and deal with real life. Bo-ring! Give us some real threats so the heroes have to start working together to stay alive and save others.

Scar Peter and Dark Claire? ALTERNATE TIMELINE!!! AGAIN!

Actually I think it was Ali Larter in the lingerie . . .
by SkidMarkedUndies
Thus showing that she survives that K-Ville blast after all.
-
... has been their own inability to coordinate and deal with real life."
And, oh yeah, that near-omnipotent nerd who kept eating their brains.
-
I'll give it a few episodes but it feels like they lost their touch. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst between this and 24.
-
...and let him deal with Sylar. After the fnale of Season 1, they knew what he could do. And anyway, Sylar was basically out of commission last season!

I get that Sylar could be a formidable enemy (probably a bit too formidable for most characters), but just one antagonist - who was sidelined for the last arc - was not enough. Elle was okay but was not given much to do.

Bring on a stable of superpowered villains and give everybody credible threats and not just snotty cheerleaders, inept gangbangers, and Uhuru's nephew.
-
Really...? My god this show is just gonna turn into a goddamn mess. what a shame.
-
what is a horseshoe? what does a horseshoe do? are there any horse feet? is anybody listening to me?
-
and i cant even watch it from where im at...but i know its booooooring...death to kring
-
Is Brian Wilson doing the theme to this? WTF?
-
Interesting...
-
Just look at how much faster they seem to learn their powers. Sylar's a freakin' whiz kid.
-
Despite a few people's oddly negative comments, this looks very cool. I like the fact that we'll be seeing more than one Major Supervillain, and even more of the Heroes working together, and against each other. I realize that Midasman and Electragal were considered villians, but they didn't...they were people with their own twisted objectives. Sylar is an evil son of a bitch, and i welcome more of them >:) September is too far away...
-
suffice it to say.
-
They blocked Canada from the webisodes. At least they let us read the comics. Global stopped uploading them at chapter 48 on their mini-site. The flash video doesn't even work.
-
kinda like Smallville's level 33.1?
-
I watch Smallville...I can't help it.
-
i dont want to bring up the expletive-laden debate of which is better, but emmy-darling season one of heroes and rightfully snubbed season two have so far mapped the quality of Lost. so... i'm thinking i should watch only the last 2 game-changing episodes of heroes and villains, and start getting excited in a year or so for season 4 greatness

So, like, wasn't Nathan shot at during his "admittance" speech
by chiefpapa
Who cares, in the comic book/tv universe no one really friggin dies. Not really sure if I going back to the show, especially with that awful Hiro-was-in-Japan-way-too-long Season 2. I'll stick with the 4400, thank you.
-
an attempt to recapture the flavor of the first season....bleh...GIVE US SIDE BOOB SHOTS OF CLAIRE
-
The only thing I remember from season 2 is their terrible attempt at recreating Cork, Ireland, as well as the accent...and I only remember that because it's where Im from.
In fact over the last few months I forgot all about Heroes, as in I forgot the show even existed. They really need to do something or the show won't make it past the third episode of the season.
-
I just realised...Heroes reminds me of the anime version of Dragonball, specifically Dragonball Z...a whole lot of talking and pointless backstory inbetween a few seconds of action.
It kinda worked for DBZ because the action tended to be worth waiting for...not so much with Heroes
-
It might be interesting if they chronicle the origins of some of these villains, they way they chronicled the beginnings of the "Heroes" in Season One. It could be neat to see how some of these super-powered characters fall to the ways of the dark side.
-
Looks nice enough !
-
Charlize Theron in Hancock stupid. Dark Knight = best comic book movie EVER.
-
They should not be getting outscripted and out fx'd by Smallville on a weekly basis.
-
A few nice moments but a lot of embarassing bupkis. I'm sure the Claire shooting scarred Peter scene is another alternate future Hiro will soon start getting his mail sent to. And seriously, what's the point of pretending to kill off people in a show where three of the main characters' powers present ever reliable reset buttons? Sigh. I'm sure I'll stilll be watching for some of that decent first season vibe, but hopefully last season's giant dive in quality was from the strike rather than just general staff jackassery.
-
Sure, season 2 was a let down. But the whole of last season on most shows was a let down, partly due to the writers strike. I just can't wait for some new entertainment. Lets hope the 08/09 season is a good one!
-
It isn't actually good but somehow manages to carry an above average fan base. It's the same phenomena that expains why shows that aren't actually funny, like 2 and a Half Men, seem to go on for centuries.
-
I guess she is attracted to Femmy guys who can fly.
-
You fucking stupid NBC whores for taking off JourneyMan.
-
But you can make a cool trailer from pretty much anything. Of course I'm gonna watch it, but I'm not getting my hopes up that they've returned to form from the shittyness of the S1 finale and the mega shittyness of season 2.
-
I think this will be good! I really can't wait to see what happens. That's what I got from that trailer. How could you get anything else? So that leaves people who've already passed judgement on the show and trolls. Either way what are you doing here if already don't like it? I like this show and I think season 2 got the short end of the stick because of the writer's strike.
-
If Jeph Loeb is involved, then this show will continue to suck. If they wised up and fired his ass (bloody unlikely since he has the most undeserved popularity in comics since Rob Liefeld), then Heroes has got a shot of pulling out of the nosedive the show is currently in.
-
after the watchmen trailer
-
someone else where running this show.
-
Tell you what, junior. Go watch "The Stolen Earth" or any episode of DOCTOR WHO written by Steven Moffat (the ones that have won fucking Hugo awards, preferably) and then come back when you have something more intelligent to say.
-
The Olympic flame arrived in Moscow, and outgoing International Olympic Committee boss Lord Killanin ripped President Carter a new one for the boycott which was about to take place. India launched its first satellite and Billy Joel's Glass Houses was the country's #1 album. And on this day in 1980, God was on his A+++ game and ushered this lady into the world. :)
Happy birthday, Kristen Bell. And Forgetting Sarah Marshall for good measure will go over $100 million at the worldwide boxoffice - today. It stands now at $99,112,164. Quite the birthday present, yes?
-
I was just about to post: "Where's Pennsy? I'm sure he would have posted a KB birthday message by now!" :D
Coincidently I was rewatching VM s1 again last night. Good times!
-
Nathan Petrelli AND Niki are alive an kicking? I really hate Ali Larter's character. I kinda wish she'd stay in the ground. Anywho, who else thinks that the gun-toting Claire is a shapeshifter?
-
Ewwwwe... incest anyone?
-
I'm never overjoyed when a show simply gives everyone what they asked for on such a basic level. It makes things feel predictable at the very least. Why pay so many writers if you're going to let the fans (or in this case the non-fans seem to have more influence on the story) craft your plot? I want good stories over a specific quantity of villians. I hope they manage to fill this pandering with good stories, but the previews have me a bit skeptical.

So to make the show better again they bring in new villains? Ugh
by Darth Bauer
Cousin Oliver is on his way with his laser beam glasses like Cyclops.
-
Well...the majority of you. Do you really think it looks bad? It looks fucking crazy sweet. Ali Larter in underwear/bikini is just visual pleasement! FOR SHAME PEOPLE!
-
It's a perfectly cromulent word.
-
Even season two of Heroes was more watchable then most of the other primetime dramas. To paraphrase Bill Maher from years ago...Heroes is like sex, when its good it's really good and when its bad its still pretty good.
-
But I will also complain.
-
Go back and read the talkbacks for Lost during the mini-Season 3 start and you'll see many people rushing to declare the show you're using as an example dead.
-
"What have yeh doan with those eye-pads?"
"Faith and begorrah, yeah shot him, bot he didn't doie"
-
Hey Chief, thought you'd like to know...The 4400 was cancelled.
-
Even the mini season of Lost in season 3 was 10x better than the crap spewed out by Kring and co. But at least Pushing Daisies was wildly entertaining. Go Fuller!
-
You mean like Marvel's Civil War? Will Season 4 be "House of Heroes"? Season 5 - "Zombie Heroes"?
-
I've seen every episode of Lost. I'm only pointing out that people were talking the same way about Lost that they talk about Heroes now. Of course all those people who were trashing Lost are nowhere to be found now. If Heroes returns to form, I doubt many will admit to trashing it either.
-
Yeah, I saw the opening eye shot that screamed LOST. Besides that, this looks a heck of a lot like the eye-rollingly typical Heroes plotlines that will probably last about half of the season before some other ridiculous plot takes over. Yet, I like the ideas of more villians and perhaps a Claire villain.
-
Wow. People are actually still watching Heroes?! Also, Lost rules!!!
-
He defends Dr Who.
-
Season 2 was a bit of a disaster tbh, not particularly helped by the Writer strike, or the god awful hokey Japanese plot. I'm ambivalent about this teaser trailer. They need to wrap up quite a few loose threads and avoid having every other person whose introduced to the show suddenly finding they have a super power.
-
Everyone just seems really bitter about season 2. The alternate timelines thing does suck yes, and the baddies in the cells look like they will mostly die soon due to lack of screen time, but this season so far is still more interesting than all of last season.
