The Upcoming Nick Parks feature debut... CHICKEN RUN!
Here ya go folks. From the creator of Wallace and Gromit.... From those that brought us Creature Comforts... comes one of the animated films that I'd bite the head off of an animatible chicken to see... CHICKEN RUN. Allegedly a story based on THE GREAT ESCAPE (or so I'm told) featuring chickens doomed for... a fate worse that.... scrrreeeeeeech (while drawing a finger around my throat) The film is directed by Nick Parks and Peter Lord for Dreamworks. And that rooster there is Rocky the Rooster as voiced by Mel Gibson. It includes quite a bit of vocal talent, and most importantly the people behind WALLACE AND GROMIT. I WANT A WALLACE AND GROMIT MOVIE!!!! After I see this one... that is. See THE WRONG TROUSERS... Go... Rent it... nay Buy it now! It'll make you clinch your fist till you see this movie. It's hard typing with clenched fists! Thanks to El Lurio...

Crackin' toast, Gromit.

the "Not without my handbag" bit on the Creature Comforts tape (not done by nick park) really messed me up. i fear my aunts now. a wallace and gromit movie would only be cool if gromit got a girlfriend and had a bunch of little gromits... and bring back wendelyenne.

This looks keen supreme to the extreme. * Please Read My Funny Daily Comic Strip: http://www.superosity.com *

Wow! This movie looks so great! I love chickens, especially ones that dance. I hope these chickens dance.

YES! YES! Creature Comfort was my introduction into a new level of animation with charm and humor and oh so English. These talents have done the impossible - they made me look forward to Exxon commericals!

...and if there is ever a W&G movie, bring back the evil penguin with the red rubber glove on his head...

Take a closer look at the faces on those two chickens, Mrs Jones. If I'm not very much mistaken, and I'm not very much mistaken, it's... it's... Wallace & Gwendlyn... in [gasp] FEATHERS! In retrospect, it was the obvious next step. I mean, it's clear now that Wallace only ever wanted to be a chick(en). But who'd have thought that Gwendlyn would cheep cheep(en) herself like this. I think it's a shame! I blame the parents.

Something tells me that there will not be any KFC tie-ins with this movie...

Is Creature Comforts available on tape anywhere? Or is it playing on HBO or a similar channel? I need to see it!!!

Truly some of the most original and funny stuff ever animated was/is Wallace and Gromit! I've had parties where people were kinda bored or what have you, and slapped in a Wallace & Gromit tape, and within 5 minutes, they were entranced! People laugh, cry, stare dumbfounded, and all withing 30 minutes!
Anyways, Creature Comforts and other Aardman shorts are availible on a video together, which includes the totally mind-deranging "Not Without My Handbag"
"My aunt is a zombie... from hell!"
Yeah!
Check out reel.com, or as I did, my local Blockbuster

Hi.
Creature Comforts is available on videotape along with four other stop-motion animated shorts from Aardman animation studios (of Wallace and Gromit fame). I just checked Amazon.com and it is on sale there for $12.99. The other three films are: Wat's Pig (medieval case of mistaken identity), Not Without My Handbag (read your appliance warranties carefully!), and Adam (of Biblical fame). As an aspiring stop motion animator myself, I can say it is a must-have for any fan of animation. -
How about some CHEESE, Gromit?
This will be a movie worth waiting for! Bring on the Wallace & Gromit movie with Wendolyne and Feathers McGraw and they can go to the moon to eat green cheese! -
It should be worth bearing in mind that James Cameron is credited as sole screenwriter on The Abyss, Aliens, Titanic and True Lies (dunno about Rambo 2). Terminator I and II were written with Gale Anne Hurd and William Wisher respectively, Strange Days was scripted by Jay Cocks (based on Cameron's scriptment - I think Cocks also had a hand with True Lies). Technically The Terminator films are probably the best written. Aliens works more through the direction, The Abyss has some great moments but unfortunately that ending ... And Titanic - it's the most successful film of all time - does it matter if it's good (and $1.8 billion shows a lot of people thought it was and that's not just the DiCaprio factor - otherwise The Man in the Iron Mask might have done better)? True Lies 2, okay, Terminator 3, maybe, personally I'd like to see something new and maybe original.
(Still a shame about Spiderman though) -
Don't know what happened there. That should have been against the Cameron story. Anyway, nothing to say about Chicken Run - it's Nick Park, Aardman Animation, it's going to be class.
