We now have an EAGLE EYE poster to stare at!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. DDOG came through with a heads up to the poster for the upcoming thriller from DJ Caruso called EAGLE EYE, starring the purty Shia LaBeouf and the even purtier Michelle Monaghan. I visited the set earlier this year and Harry just recently saw the first reel. I can't speak to the script, but everything I saw action-wise and performance-wise was top shelf stuff and Harry seems to love the cut footage he saw.
Now the poster's out and it's a weird one. I don't know how I feel about it, but knowing some of the twists and turns of the movie, I can say that it's a rather dull poster compared to what happens. That said, I still kinda dig the multiple Shias and Michelles... just maybe not the layout... something's not hitting me completely for some reason.
Anyway, here it is! Make sure to click if you want the big version!

at all, the movie does look pretty sweet.
-
Can the public begin to take him seriously as a real bonafide actor to be reckoned with? Not sure yet.
-
shit
-
Anytime. <p>Especially Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Michelles.
-
..I'm not seeing this turd though
-
Lends well to advertising ala poster. I like the premise of the movie, but as I imagined, the poster would be weak. What can you say about a man on the run movie without having the man running on the poster?
-
What a peach.
-
I don't really give two shits about this movie. Sorry sugar.
-
Eagle Eye looks fine, but lets get the Indy 5 ball rolling (no pun intended). 3/4 of a billion dollars, I think thats calls for two more films with Indy, and what the hey, Mutt can come along too, thats just fine.

it looks like someone threw this together in Photoshop in 5 minu
by cyrent
-
If this is anything like the Bourne Identity. OR he can become the next Ben Affleck if this is like Paycheck. Good luck Shia.
-
Wtf? Same color palette and everything.
-
And I like the DTV look.
-
In that poster.
-
pass.
-
and lets look into the future. You know Lucas has.
-
But these days they go through a shitload of posters and trailers if they're trying to sell a film, so what of it.
-
Ugh. Looks like DIRECT to DVD. Cheapo.
-
I went out of my way to talk up Eagle Eye in the talkback of Harry's first-reel review and now this poster shows up DOA. It's truly awful. Was this done inhouse by the studio's marketing team? Or was it farmed out. Either way, it's hacktastic. A guy with Photoshop and ten minutes could turn out a better poster than this. How many god damn Shia heads do I need. It's not like the kid's Zac Efron!
-
Sure he had a threesome sort of thing going on with Bumblebee and Megan at the end of Transformers but we all do that kind of thing when we're in college. Who hasn't? I can't tell you how many times couples start making out when they're on me.
-
you'll get laid eventually...shut up...<p>for all the hate Shia gets here, there are far worse actors to get "do whatever you want in whatever movie you want" status for a couple years...<p>I mean shit, he had me convinced for the first 10 minutes that Transformers might be good! the shit in the classroom was hilarious.<p> because he's youngish looking and (sorry to go there) pretty Jewish looking, everyone hates. if not, he would be the golden boy that got Indy 4 and Transformers...even though both sucked dick, he was fine in both, so step off...

It's new, it's different, so yeah, naturally Tbers will hate hit

Honestly, is it really that terrible? Hell no. Can't wait for this flick.
-
I like the guy and thought the teaser for this was superb. I'm looking forward to it.

Actually As I Remember It Disturbia's Poster Was Crap...
by TroutMaskReplicant
Or at least the one I saw. Maybe Caruso has really bad taste in posters or lets his girlfriend design them.
-
What's wrong with him?
-
at my theatre for over a week...
-
This poster is a vacuum. <p> Seriously, good thing I had my pants on, because when the poster image loaded, the suckage exerted from it started yanking my cock violently towards my computer. Had I not been so lucky my dick would've ended up pinned between one of Shia's many lips. <p> This is a conspiracy, this poster is a trap.
-
That is all.
-
and it was ridiculous. Shia is on the phone the whole time.
-
STOP IT WITH THE SHIA LEBEOUF IN EVERY MOVIE! just stop!
-
...but I don't care about that. Shia is great, Monaghan, too and D.J. Caruso...err...too, so I'm really looking forward to this.
-
Exactly the sort of movie poster Thomas Jane's character bitches about in The Mist. Two big heads.
-
although i get the comparison from the shitty pic they've used in the poster.
-
Its gonna take a lot to cleanse my brain of Indiana Shia....
-
it's a good one.
-
So does Monaghan have to obey Shia to live? And what does she have to do to fulfill his requirements?
-
would be Shia and Michelle done up as Marionette's ... tag line would be "Who's pulling the strings?"
-
Slap me.
-
Wow what a sad ripoff of another film's poster.
-
Hate his guts! <P> He has ruined every movie for me to date.
-
I'm definitely detecting some body action in that poster. I bought a Dallas spin off book once. Only for the cover, I swear! It featured JR's giant disembodied head looming over the Texas landscape like Zardoz. How could I resist?

I used to have an Italian fuck buddy that looks like Michelle.
by Knuckleduster
He was a very gentle lover.
-
... don't get me wrong.. I like his work a lot and I think he has a future ahead of him that we are all going to enjoy... but somehow I feel Shia can do no wrong and a little too much love on AICN .. just 1 man's opinion who is jet lagged and running on no coffee.. so apologies if I offend any fan boys
-
You're right. Why are we kissing up to Shia? Fuck Hollywood and millionaire actors. Giant fighting robots say nothing to me about my life. I've been here all day because I have the flu and it's Shia this and Shia that and we're kissing Hollywood ass while ducking down in our cubicles in case our boss sees us typing "I heart Shia" on our computers. All the while Shia's rolling around with Megan Fox and driving sportscars for Michael Fucking Bay and getting his people to send more promotional stuff to AICN so we can spend our hourly wages on this Nick of Time movie. No thank you, Shia. No thank you.
-
Come on....HIT ME!!!
-
Hilarious. Like watching the kid gangsters in "Bugsy Malone" -- he could definitely use a custard pie in the noggin'
-
That's all.
-
Someone had to say it.
-
the less grown up he looks.
-
WTF happened to her?! She's a beutiful woman. I had a huge crush on her after watching Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
-
I didn't mean it! I love you! *sobs hysterically*
-
Never get the hate towards the guy. Never will.
-
You beat me to it. She's definitly more doable than Marcia Gay Harden. But I gotta confess, I find Marcia Gay Harden kinda sexy. In a milfy kind of way
-
The more I see about this movie, the more it looks like that terrific Tony Scott flick starring Will Smith. Luckily for those who didn't make the connection yet, the poster is totally derivative from said 10 years old movie. <p> At least, Enemy of the state had the decency to come out 25 years after The Conversation - which it ripped off largely. Is that Dreamworks' way to be ahead of its time?
-
That on the set of TF:ROTF Shia has been chain smoking, acting bitchy, and telling fans who want photos with him to piss off. Maybe he's a douche, who knows? But I don't get that from him onscreen. And I don't see anything bad about the poster. It's standard, nothing impressive or particularly shitty.
-
Damn You Michael Bay
-
I ask you.
-
the poster and DVD cover for Enemy of the State. I definitely think thats the feel they were going for. Paranoia.
-
looks like fun!!
-
You know its true !
-
Michelle Monaghan is absolutely stunning, and it's on display in this poster.
-
There are four Shia faces and one running Shia.
-
After the cool trailer ... and w/ Spielberg and Caruso attached I expect more. Maybe something like the flaming Dark Night building poster ... w/ a stunned Shia looking down from his shattrered apt.
-
DO ME NOWWWWWWWW!
-
Not cool news.
-
I guess I still can't get over his Disney Channel days. This plot sounds like The Matrix office scene, with Morpheus giving Keanu instructions over the phone, expanded to feature length. I did enjoy Disturbia as a passable popcorn thriller (much better than the similar timed Vacancy), so I'll at least give this a looksee on video.
-
pumping the midget? You guys give him as much coverage as QT and Rod., and Del Toro. How much does the studios give you guys for pimping out a midget?
-
love this f'ing midget of a kid. If you think about it they all have crushes on three midgets around the same age: Shia, the dude from Speed Racer and now the dude from Atonement, and recently Wanted w/ bony ass Jolie. What a great up n coming crop of leading midgets we have that will have their picks of what roles they want. Not a one of them are over 5'6.
-
but with the similar background of goofy sitcom experience, Joseph Gordon Levitt can act rings around Mr. LaBeouf. In fact, facially, he is looking like he could've been Heath Ledger's kid brother. Check out The Lookout when you can.
-
is awesome! Just showin some love.....not enough of that going around unless it's a comic book movie review! Don't get me wrong Iron Man and Hulk were fucking brilliant and The Dark Knight is gonna blow my fucking mind!!! But broaden your horizons. I'll be seeing this flick....looks like fun!
-
It's because Spielberg pushes him on the fastline by getting him in tons of movies too fast. I have nothing against young actors getting praise. I like Leonardo DiCaprio and Josh Hartnett, for example. Even in Titanic/Pearl Harbor, when it was "in" to trash them. But I "discovered" them (for me) in Gilbert Grape/The Faculty. Nice, small movies. And then they went over the years and slowly but surely got bigger. At least that's my impression. Shia on the other hand does everything too fast. Not just "acting like he's grown up" now with the "beard" and shit. He should take his time with his career, doing less movies but playing better characters and thereby get the audience to accept him as a fine actor and star who deserved it. Right now it just feels pushed down our throats too much. It's not even the problem that I despise Shia in general. Have you seen Bobby? He also has a role there, and it's the one movie where I like him in. So don't let yourself be pushed by Spielberg Shia, shift down a gear and you will soon be liked by most.
-
would someone please tell me how I can get this high-tech "Quick Talkback Form" to accept my breaks? Thanks.
-
IMDB says Shia is already executive producing some movie called "The Smallest River in Almirante" ?! Way too soon. The guy just turned 22 for god's sake!
-
I agree with you completely. I hate when Hollywood pushes "the next big thing", with movie after movie over a short amount of time. The same thing happened with Ryan Phillipe and Rachel McAdams a few years back. Regardless of talent, you think "Geez, them again?"
-
Gay hard on? What? Yeah, real original. But seriously, Michelle looks like Marcia
-
Well Shia was on Family Channel for YEARS before anyone knew his name, I watched that show, it was the shit. Then he did have roles in movies like Holes and like you said, Bobby. So he isn't just being pushed out there, he has steadily grown into superstardom and now that he is there, why not capitalize on it? <p> Obviously, geeks are only a very small small part of the movie going audience (see Snakes on a Plane box office) and therefore they bickering about Shia falls on deaf ears at studios, the main public loves him and the reason why he keeps making big movies, and why those big movies keep making money is (in part) due to the audience responding positively to him. I don't have any problem with him, I think he's got a lot of charisma and energy, no nothing Oscar worthy down the pipe yet, or probably ever, but who cares. <p> I still think that geeks are just mad because he got to be in both Transformers and Indiana Jones and most geeks here probably had their first wet dream about doing that, therefore, they hold a life long grudge now. That and he bones hot chicks and they don't.
-
Today I read that the music industry constantly tries to establish "newcomers", because newcomers obviously don't demand those high salaries/percentages of sales like established stars like madonna and justin timberlake do. maybe its the same in Hollywood? They push Shia (for example) as long as he doesn't demand the really fat cheques, and when he does they move on to the next "newcomer" and drop Shia. Publish things like drug abuse and sex scandals about him until he drops in bankability (if thats actually proper english) and gets lucrative again.
-
re Family Channel, my problem is I'm not from the US and only knew Shia since Transformers. So if he has grown slowly on TV, I didn't notice it. May be I'm beeing too fast in judging him (just like I was too fast accusing Lucas of copying skulls yesterday). But regardless of that, I still think that Shia, his acting skills and his face, doesn't "mature" fast enough in comparison to how fast the list grows in how many movies he's been in. Sorry if somebody doesn't get what I mean. Plus, growing or not, executive producing a movie with 22 seems a little bit fast. Hard to not get over your head, don't you think?
-
YEAH!
-
that is all.
-
It... <br> ...works!
-
Ah, stop all the hating man! The guys got his big break and making it work for him, so sad that you all carry on about how crap he is, but at the end of the day surely none of you would mind having that kind of success???? Let him enjoy it!
