Details on SPACED: TREASURE OF THE FOUR CITY TOUR! Edgar, Simon & Jessica Are Comin' to L.A., Austin, NYC and Comic Con!
Beaks here...
The wait is almost over. On July 22nd, you will be able to pay cash money for your very own Region 1 copy of SPACED: THE COMPLETE SERIES. As you no doubt know by now, the three-disc set will be crammed with extras (lots of cool featurettes, old commentaries, new commentaries w/ celebrity guests, etc.); this alone should sate you. But since Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes (nee Stevenson) are unreasonably generous souls, there will be more: a four-city tour of episode screenings, Q&As and DVD signings. If you live anywhere near New York City, Los Angeles, San Diego or Austin, I'd recommend ordering your tickets posthaste hitting the Facebook sites linked in the below press release or checking out www.spacedinvasion.com.
More specifics for the various appearances are also listed below. You might notice some familiar names hosting the Q&As. (Leave it to Harry to outdo everyone with a SPACED-numb-a-thon shindig at the Drafthouse. Why can't we do that shit out here in L.A.?) If you're headed to San Diego later this month, I'll see you there!
Finally, I've been ordered to embed the following.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SPACED - A FOUR CITY TOUR TO CELEBRATE THE DVD RELEASE
Creators-stars and director to attend events in New York, Los Angeles, Comic-Con and Austin
BBC Video announced today a four city tour to celebrate the DVD set release of Spaced: The Complete Series, available for the first time in North America on July 22. Creator-stars Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) and Jessica Hynes (nee Stevenson) (Shaun of the Dead, Son of Rambow) and director Edgar Wright will travel to New York, Los Angeles, Comic-Con and Austin for special screenings, a marathon, panel sessions and signings for fanboys and fangirls.
The weeklong tour kicks off in New York City at the Village East Cinema on Monday, July 21, with a screening and Q&A session moderated by Elvis Mitchell (film critic and host of KCRW's The Treatment). The week's events include a Los Angeles screening and Q&A moderated by the very own Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma), a Comic-Con panel session moderated by Ain't It Cool's Drew 'Moriarty' McWeeny, a Fans' Choice screening at Comic-Con, a Marathon screening at the Austin's Alamo Drafthouse moderated by Ain't It Cool's Harry Knowles and signings at New York's Virgin Megastore in Union Square, Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash West and Comic-Con. The final stop on the tour is the Late Show with David Letterman where Simon will be a guest on Monday, July 28.
Facebook event pages have been created for each free screening so fans can get instant updates and hear directly from Simon, Jess and Edgar. They will also be able to follow the tour by visiting www.spacedinvasion.com.
Spaced: The Complete Series, a 3-disc set from BBC Video, features all 14 surreal episodes of the award-winning show, described by Pegg as "a cross between The Simpsons, The X-Files and Northern Exposure." Boasting over eight hours of content, the DVD set features bonus material including the original commentary from the UK release plus all-new commentary from Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill), Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma), Matt Stone (South Park, Team America: World Police), Bill Hader (Superbad, SNL), Patton Oswalt (King of Queens, Ratatouille) and Diablo Cody (Oscar®-winning writer of Juno).

Hopefully I can get an autograph at comic-con. That would be..Awesome.
-
and I really hope that a pig does fuck you one day...
-
dude, it's not funny. you're not going to start a meme. just give it up. on a side note: spaced! woo!
-
Yay! Spaced!
-
Why couldn't it have been Pigphart5000?!?! Why?!?
-
fuck up a panel discussion with his equally large EGO! Someone throw some Slim Fast at that asshole at Comic Con...please!
-
And they're showing it at Village East, quite possibly my least favorite theatre in New York.
-
To make it to the New York show with my missus. She hearts Simon Pegg. And you know what? I think I do too. Already met Simon, Nick and Edgar, all top blokes. Haven't met Jessica yet, so that would be a real treat for me. Wonder if she'll sign my 'Tenderloin' shirt for me so I can having a matching set?
-
Having grown up there I gots love, but I live in Portland now, which happens to be a pretty fucking hip town with some cool peeps, and we get NO love when it comes to shit like this. I guess we get Lynch alot but he's a dick.
-
How do I order? The Arclight website is not helping, nor is the Facebook? I just wanna' buy tickets!
-
Extra commentaries alone are not enough for me to repurchase this favorite series. A High-Def version would tip the scales though.
-
A small part of me wishes simon and edgar didn't find the success they did so I could get a third season of the show.Bastards!14 episodes was just not enough for such a great show.
-
So, I just added myself to the facebook for the Archlight screening. Is that the only way to get tix, or do I have to buy them on some other kinda site?
-
Hopefully this new version will be worth the double-dip.
-
Said this shit is cancelled for Archlight. After I stab pigphart, I'm gonna stab a mofo. You know it to be true.
-
Village East owns. I played drunken manhunt there one night after a rocky horror show with half naked chicks. Go to the west village to watch movies, fuck face!
-
Can Channel Four not distribute this themselves? US Fans should check out Black Books.
-
Fockarz!
-
For a second I thought there was a Spaced film coming when I saw the headline! :( ;)

Now that's cool news!
-
A "Shut the hell up Pigphart" meme
-
And I'm gonna use a spoon to cut that fucker.
-
Has american tv shown this show yet?(not including bbc america) I think it could do well...might encourage the stars to do a new series aswell
-
My friend told me that i can find him on "wealthybeauty.c o m". Has anyone find him yet on that site?
-
I think Bravo has the rights and has aired it very little. I might be wrong, but if was aired more often, it might be more well-know amongst Americans. So, I am doubting it. If Sci-Fi picked it up, that would be nice. It's done well for new Dr. Who.

If you're pimping a website for rich businessmen to pick up cheap skanky hoes - you've come to the wrong place.
If you've come to pimp a website for hunky adonis types to attract rich women...ahh forget it.
I should really look at the site to become more informed but frankly I'd rather watch Meet the Spartans.
-
All the screenings are FREE! The New York and Los Angeles screenings are allocated on a first come first serve basis. This means arriving early and queueing at the door - this was the fairest way to do it as the tickets are FREE! We have heard that some fans have called the Arclight Hollywood and been informed that the event was cancelled - IT HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED. Information on the Austin Marathon is coming through shortly. You DO NOT NEED to be on facebook to attend. The Comic-Con Q&A and Bonus Screening is for Comic-Con pass holders only and is part of Comic-Con’s own schedule of events

Wow. That was the first movie in 3-D I ever saw. It was also a stinking pile of shit...like a good deal of the movies that came out in 1983! Starchaser: The Legend of Orin, the first animated 3-D movie was much better a couple years later.

Any word on whether it'll keep the music from the series?
by Son of Hades
I remember reading that rights issues had helped to prevent this release thus far.

Thanx man! That was fucking awesome. SPACED meets Cloverfeild! Pegg Rocks!
-
I know that Scott Pilgrim is being shot here, but that's hardly the same. Filming locations aren't chosen based on estimated local fan population. It's just a short plane ride down to NYC from there, for shit's sake. We're just not used to being ignored by the Brits up here.
-
...and tonight we're showing all 14 episodes!!
-
I Would like to know why Spaced season 3 isnt available. After all the hype, I found the show hit and miss. There were parts I liked and there were parts i didnt. I think simon pegg can grate after a while. I loved the stuff with Marcia and her daugher. Very funny. I think that spaced worked best as spring board. I loved the character of mike and why he was thrown out of the TA. very funny. I got bored of that constant flashbacks of tim and mike in the tree as children. It is a show of its time end of 1990s and worked great along side 11 o clock show as spring board for some now big names in tv and films in the UK.
-
Spaced never has a 3rd season. And the flashbacks with Tim and Mike werent in every episode. The lanlady's name is MARSHA btw. So, besides Mike being thrown out of the TA, which was a SMALL storyline, isn't the rest of it good shit? I bet you are a RTD fan with Who.
-
*had a 3rd season. Now I'm a slut. But that good, cause getting head is also good. Not giving it, like emeraldboy, who I would also call the green (emerald) fairy.
-
Sure he brought back Dr who and we all thank him for that. His biggest weakness as a writer is his utter inability to follow through on two parters. another weakness would be leaving questions hanging in the air. Davros rocked. and one more thing... I have an Learning difficulty. like a lot of people. But I would never use tv as a soapbox shove my Learning difficulty down other peoples throats, Unlike Russell T Davis, who never missed an opportunity to lecture everyone about tolerance and shove the equality stuff down the audiences throats and about that I for one am glad he is gone. or is he.
-
Why? Way to pick a random third-rate Texas backwater. Sheesh.
-
pretty much the best TV series you're ever gonna see. However, why the fuck did they let these bandwagon jumpers waffle and gush about the show when they have fuck all to do with it. And Diablo Cody for fucks sake. Great, I'm happy for you that you've had some RECENT success. Now what the fuck are you doing on the DVD of one of my favourite TV shows of all time?!
