do you get those straight from press releases or something? coz zap2it had the same thing
-
It finished shooting the week the writer's strike began. And yet it hasn't been aired on TV. What the hell is wrong with F/X? Why didn't they air it when it had NO competition from the Networks? Now it'll be going up against premires.
-
Sept 2 IIRC
-
'nuff said.
-
Hehe.
-
...while you're handing out FX show information...
What's the story with Rescue Me? ...beyond these minisodes they are now airing...
-
it's the only show where I watch the open all the way through every time... "when I get through with you, there won't be anything left..."
-
Season 2 will blow away Season 1 I'm hoping.
-
Because Deadwood is excellent, and Die Hard 4 was a piece of crap...
-
That I know Olyphant was in "Catch and Release" too. (as was Kevin Smith) Now I need to wash myself. With bleach.
-
Totally miscast, but he ruled in Deadwood, perfectly portraying a man barely keeping his seething temper under control. Only MacShane was better.
-
scream 2. just sayin, you have to admit, he was good...
-
Damn You MCMLXXVI
-
$100 mil worldwide and no mention?
-
until mid-2009/April-ish. FX put in a double order, so there will be plenty to come. I just hope it returns to form after a subpar season (that includes not having Tatum O'Neal work out her real-life problems on screen). Flipping around the earlier reruns now shows how they dropped the ball.

And while it's true the Shield finished shooting during the strike, nobody important, like say Shawn Ryan was around to do the final cuts. Nobody who watches probably gives a crap about the Olympics, but FX decided not to go against them in the summer.

Oh yeah, Damages looks like it's going to rock again. Say hello to the Eff-Bee-Eye!
-
one of the best new shows. I will be sad Ted Dansons characters will now longer be on the show, they will need to replace his character with an equally compelling one.
-
there, i said it.
-
will be an incredible addition to the cast. With the potential to make up for Ted Dansons absense, whom was a revelation on Damages. Rescue Me in mid 2009? Thats just unacceptably long, long enough for me to reconsider my interest in the show, nah who am I kidding, love that show.
-
Scientology?
-
Deadwood: superior than all other titles being mentioned in this article and talkback. Anyone who says differently begs to have a knife drawn at there throat and be called a cunt while Wu's pigs feed on their hoopleheaded carcasses.
-
Thank you, FX, for making some quality shows.
-
Hurt played the perfect handsome idiot in "Broadcast News". "Altered States" was also pretty cool, although it's been so long since I've seen it, I can't remember how good Hurt's performance was. Picked up all three seasons of Deadwood last week and started rewatching. Definitely Olyphant's best character to date.
-
misses HBO so much that he is going to pop up on a show on HBO's baby sister network FX. Don't do imitation, man. Get the band back together and film season four already. Nobody's doing anything cool with their careers anyway. Finish the Deadwood SAGA!
-
Is this season going to be set up the same way as last? With the time-jumping?
-
Huzzah! Swell news for our beloved fuckin' sherrif. Insane fuckin' person though he may be.
-
thanks for making die hard 4 oh so much shittier and thanks for not much else.
-
It has been years since I've seen it, but I always remember what a self absorbed prick he was in that, till the end, of course.
And his small role in History Of Violence was strong enough for an Oscar nom, if that means anything.
-
and Olyphant joining is your big headline? WTF?
-
Sure they had a better script but FOX fucked it up. Just turn off your brain and have some fun. It's a lot more fun then a shitty Bay movie. Why didn't Herc mention it? He's a prick.
-
menace in the more comedic Go and The Girl Next door than in Die Hard or Hitman combined.
-
They already had a Hurt article here a few weeks ago when he joined the cast.
-
I read about that news yesterday, and it made me pumped. I really enjoy Olyphant's work, and i'm sure he'll be enjoyable on Damages. For such a low rated show, FX sure seems committed to keeping this show around by bringing in some big names.
-
the two best things I saw him do were Children of a Lesser God and Broadcast News. Terrific in both; and for some reason, I used to get him and Jeff Bridges mixed up. No doubt Olyphant is the more exciting actor, though William has a definite presence onscreen. (BTW, does anyone remember Olyphant guest starring on My Name is Earl? "You scared?...Ya SHOULD BE! 'Cuz I'm Billy Reed. You know how many girls I've had SEX with?
-
(Holds up five fingers and says very quietly:) Five. Five.
-
Oh. My bad. Missed that one.
-
He totally stole the show there.
-
Pretty sure FX is owned by NewsCorp (FOX) and HBO is owned by TimeWarner
-
I thought he was a psychotic younger brother of Bill Paxton. DEADWOOD FOREVER, ya sea-creature-looking cocksuckers!
-
You will rock. Seriously this is good news. I hope he plays an evil sociopath like Ted Danson last year. That was the best work Danson's ever done, imho.
-
If you can't parlay the awesomeness that was Olyphant in Deadwood into a decent big screen career as a leading man, you're doing a shitty job.
-
An Oliphant never forgets.
-
Needs to be seen a lot more. This guy has charisma.
