Learn Of The Fox Project JOURNEYMAN Mastermind Kevin Falls Is Working On Now!!

Published at:  Jun 24, 2008 12:47:56 AM CDT

I am – Hercules!!

“Journeyman” creator-showrunner Kevin Falls has scored a Fox pilot commitment for an American version of the Argentinean telenovela "Lalola" -- which in concept sounds a lot like the 1991 Blake Edwards movie “Switch.”

It’s about a womanizer who suddenly finds himself trapped in a woman’s body.

Before creating the beloved but short-lived NBC time-travel drama, Falls served as a writer-producer on “Sports Night” and “The West Wing.”

Best show ON NBC last season

    by ninja nerd

I really, really hated to see Journeyman canceled. Idiotic move. The last episode still blows me away. Yeah, count me in on the new show as well.

why did you have to mention Joureyman... I was just getting over

    by hamster factor

I wish they had given it just one more season - or even half a season - so the story lines could have been properly played out. They did a decent job tying it up all things considered, but the last several episodes definitely weren't as perfectly crafted as the rest of the season.

i suppose if you told me the premise of journeyman i would have just said.."eh, quantum leap" and not watched... luckily i was at the gym and it happened to be on the tv and i loved it. so i guess ill give this a chance.

    Hey I loved Journeyman

    by tomdolan04

putting right what once went wrong was a nice play on Quantum Leaps central premise.

This new show sounds like the premise of just one 45-minute episode of QL though, so quite how they'll expand/drag it out for a few seasons remains to be seen.

I like the cut of Falls' jib so I remain optimistic.

FOX is the ultimate network for cancelling shows. Never work with them, if your show is quirky or different.

I loved Journeyman but won't be watching this

    by greatczarsghost

This has already been done before (and it's never been good). It's really a stupid concept. If someone live and see himself from another persons view they would chance and stop being a turd. Why do people who can create really good TV drop down to this level of crap?

    I'm hesistant about watching

    by tomdolan04

because everytime I seem to invest in a good genre show it gets cancelled with a shitty resolution and no attention. Its got to the stage of 'whats the point of starting'

If networks want the steady wide audience they need to have patience for things to develop, and faith in projects beyond just 'reimagining' everything and the kitchen sink from the 70's and 80's.

RIP journeyman, good luck kevin, but fox? you decided to work with fox? they cancel shows on thie debut night before the first ad break

    the show will be great

    by ciroslive

and canceled after one season. Why do people even bother putting shows on networks? Unless they average 20 million viewers an episode networks give series zero chance. The place to be now is cable whether its basic cable (AMC/FX/TNT) or premium (Showtime/HBO)...

"If a guy dates a girl who used to be a guy but isn't anymore, what does that make the guy who dates the girl who used to be a guy?"It's going to be on Fox? It will either get cancelled by episode 4 or run for 12 years(8 years too long).I saw JOURNEYMAN there in the title and for one brief shining moment thought it was coming back.Life was the most surprising show of last season. After seeing Studio 60, Raines, Journeyman all get the axe, the fact that they didn't cancel Life too was so surprising I was shocked. I guess there's at least one person at NBC that knows a good show when they see one. Or maybe just someone who has a crush on Sarah Shahi.

that's what I get from watching everything downloaded off the internet and no local TV at all. I wonder if it was really a "telenovela", kinda sounds like a just a normal series.
