Best animated show on TV at the moment. Don't argue with me!!
-
that he was going to kill Venture with kindness just to piss of the Monarch. Great Stuff!
-
For that briefest moment, having Twin Peaks and Venture Bros. collide was heaven.

Somewhat depressing the season is like a quarter done...
by danielkurland
I'm enjoying it far too much. And in spite of a lot happening this season, it also seems like nothing has happened to be moving into episode 5 next week.
-
This episode was rather trippy. We learn that Monarch still has hang ups on Rusty. While being a complete and utter thief and stealing Hatred's tech for years.
We still have those whacky fucking Moppets sticking around. While discovering that Doctor Wife has a fucking 3 pack a day habit.
All of this demonstrating that Doc and Jackson are continuing on with the character development of the characters on this series, and they are determined to make something more then the average animated show. I wonder what this week's shirt will be? -
we are about to engage the nozzle. Please do not move while the nozzle is engaging. Moving will disrupt calibration of the nozzle. Please wait while we calibrate the nozzle. Please do not look away from the nozzle. The nozzle is now calibrating. The nozzle is still calibrating. The nozzle has completed calibration. Thank you.
-
Finally, a return to form. The last episode was easily the worst ep yet.[Come on, repetition of a word as a gag? Who wrote the nozzle scene, the Sponge Bob crew?] This is what a VB should feel like. Fuckin hilarious. And as Publick stated on his blog, this episode really was the most beautiful they've ever done. Everything was so crisp and polished.. and dare I say, LUSH?
-
If you think there was,it was over your head....lol.
-
and I never heard of that "name tags on the back, give me a clue to figure out who I am" game before, and then it shows up on "Swingtown" and "The Venture Brothers' in the same week. How do things like that happen?
-
...well, there were a lot of good things this episode, but Dr. Girlfriend's three pack a day habit explains her deep, raspy Margot Kidder voice and, hopefully, puts a rest once and for all to all those "she's a transsexual/she had a penis" rumors. So if that wasn't it, what was the secret she whispered to The Monarch at the end of last season?
-
should have let Dr. Killanger be the party planner.. would have been a huge success if he did!
-
One of em stole the plot point.
Otherwise, "Eighty-six the non-leathal, We're going full nerf on this one." Priceless -
I have felt the same concerning this season and my brother thinks it is because that for the first time with this show they have two years guaranteed. So they are filling in the background gaps for the characters and are building a larger universe for the show.I still laughed my ass off when they finished rebuilding the Monarch's lair and when they dumped Gatorade on one of the moppets he just jumped up and started stabbing that one henchman in the neck.

"Wow... there's actually a Town Called Malice!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3fDXsPE0Sc
-
Good stuff on their parts, but it's not about being funny. It's about this show strieving for something more then the typical fucking adult swim show. This alone makes me happy to have this show to watch each year.
-
I can't understand why there's not a lot of outside love for it.

I think that "three pack a day habit" line was misdirection...
by danielkurland
I'm sure she does smoke, and obviously that is bad for your lungs, but I don't think that's all there is too her. The entire conversation seemed too on the nose to satisfy the whole situation.
-
...you are not the only one. However, the character backstories are cool, and it's kinda like sex. There is no bad sex (at least not as far as I'm concerned, heh) just different levels of goodness. Loved Sgt. Hatreds troops stumbling away from the Venture compound with torn limbs, massive head trauma, and multiple stab wounds! Way ta go, Brock!
-
I rather enjoyed the episode, Hatred has some issues, I miss Dr. Orpheus though, hes the greatest.
IGNORE ME!! -
am i the only one who misses the boys?
-
Was Hatred's flying tank the first use of CGI in the series? I can't remember another time see any CGI.
-
"I'm not allowed to be within fifty feet of beautiful minors." Also, the lack of Hank or Dean feeling intimidated around him after last season's allusion to molestation at his hands and Hank's fear of him at The Monarch's wedding leads me to think maybe the boys have been cloned yet again? The Monarch's "clues" to Rusty's identity at the party. Priceless.
-
Did anyone else catch the official name change in the closing credits? Personally, I was hoping for "Dr. Wife" but the drawn-out name is pretty amusing.
-
And this time, it's simply a call-out to the show, not even a review. Since the show starts streaming on Fridays, why wait until Sunday night or Monday morning to post a thread on it?
-
None of the things Monarch said pertained to Mariah and that's what made it funny. They also illuminate how self absorbed he is.
-
Constant genius lol
-
When are these guys going to make something I can watch at a movie theater. Definitely the most under rated television show on tv. Great writing and as always, hilarious.
-
So sleazy! And the moppets, with their little bed? "What're you two? Cats?" Easily the funniest/best show on TV right now. The only episode I wasn't that into when it aired was "Guess Who's Coming to State Dinner" and after re-watching it, that one's great too!
-
Hank is the freakin' man.
-
I Am Batman, please say sike or something; you must be joking. VB is awesome because it doesn't pander to the masses with easy humour. A Hilton joke would've been SO cheap. The idea that the Monarch is using the opportunity to berate Venture mercilessly with no regard to the game is infinitely more entertaining than shitty modern pop-culture references. Yikes. Go pre-order Disaster Movie tickets.
