Everything they do is gold.
-
The red-band trailer at least gives you a sense of what the movie's about.
-
these guys are untouchable.
-
Meh...the phrase for kiddies with nothing to say! (Oh yeah, and the trailer was great.)
-
damned if you don't."WHAAAA!! that trailer showed too much!""WHAAA!! that trailer didn't show enough!"
-
It's because the composer is a fucking tool who sold the rights to his "art" and now is acting like a whiny little bitch? Maybe?
-
Damn You Michael Bay
-
It was David Rasche. I remember liking that show as a kid, but honestly don't remember much about it. Teaser looks like a lot of fun, but I'm always down for a Cohen Bros. film.
-
I love to laugh....ha ha ha ha......loud and long and clear. But not on this occasion
-
than the red-band trailer. Honestly, I don't really want to know much more about the film. I know it has a cool look, I know it will be violent and funny, I know it has a bunch of stars and that the Coens are behind it. I'm in. And is it just me or is Tilda Swinton the most oddly attractive woman in film?
-
Today's disenfranchised youth are so bent on letting everyone know their opinion on everything, but can't actually be bothered putting said opinions into actual real words.
Which begs the question: Do they really have anything to say to begin with? Because it really seems more like they're simply interested in letting complete strangers know that they don't have any opinion in the first place. At least not one worth expressing in proper vernacular. Go back to school, you dumb fucks. -
But damn the old broad can act!
-
It is both painful and wonderful. Best in short spurts with beer.
-
+1 for both.i agree that i'd rather go into a film without knowing everything about it. even the plot. some of my favorite films are ones i had no notion as to the plot or story. thats how you get your mind blown, not by hyping it up and watching every bit you can on youtube.and yes, Tilda Swinton is very attractive. i said it yesterday (or whenever) when the poster for this went up, she's hot in a weird David Bowie kid of way. hot chicks are a dime a dozen, if you ask me. i'd take an angular elf looking Tilda over a barbie looking girl any day.
-
and older women.
-
This is a great trailer. Shows you the strong part of every Cohen film: the characters. But only shows you enough to make you go, "uhhh i need to know more cuz that kinda didn't make much sense." and oh there were no bombs going KA BOOM or curving bullets.
-
Hammer remains ahead of its time. It's still funnier and more relevant than the new Get Smart movie or Middleman.
-
Damn, it's great to see Brad Pitt channeling the "12 Monkeys" near-insane nuttiness again. He nails that wide eyed stuff better than most actors out there. The Coens know this too, apparently.
I'll definitely be seeing this film. -
But did you see her at the Oscars? She is a weirdo dike.
-
It was just this crazy montage of insanity that let me know all I needed to know to know I wanted to see the movie:
1. John Goodman
2. Steve Buscemi
3. bowling
The fact that everything else about it turned out to be so amazing (sorry, I didn't know who Jeff Bridges was yet) was just icing on the cake. -
The Cohens aren't totally bulletproof, but they are bullet resistant enough for me to see anything they put out. And for Chrissakes, Tilda Swinton. Rowr.
-
Am I the only one who thinks that this sounds funny?
The Trailer looks pretty good, btw. Especially Brad & George seem to have a lot of fun. -
The Coen brothers. No "h" in there. Keep it in mind.
-
But because of the red band trailer; I get tired of teasers because they don't tell you anything useful at all.
-
I love it.
-
i looked up this movie on imdb to see if it was him when the first trailer came out, but he wasn't listed, thankgod it's him cause that makes this movie way better
-
weirdo dikes are hot, too.
-
it was rawther entertaining.
-
I am sure this is gonna be a great flick as the Coen brothers are on a role....but man I want a Sledgehammer movie!!! Everything from Get Smart to Hogan's Heroes to Starsky and Hutch has been done and more! So let's get a Sledgehammer film!!! I loved that show! Got the DVDS! GLAD to see this guy is in a movie again even if it is a small part and doing something humorous. His last role as the one guy on the plane with flight experience in United 93 was...not so humorous. Anyway, bring back the SLEDGE!
-
didn't you guys know she's married AND she lives openly with a male lover? her husband apparently doesn't mind. top that!
-
Can't wait to see it and all I have to know is that it's a Coen Bro's flick.Good call on Pitt channeling Jeffrey from 12 Monkey's. Of course, he was pretty loopy in Kalifornia too. He and Clooney are always great together. Tilda...meh and I too have a thing for redheads. I prefer mine a bit more voluptuous though or perky like Amy Adams. Mmmm...Amy Adams.
-
...for kids!
-
I thought Pitts crazy/weird guy character was to much in the red band trailer-nearly cringe worthy....and i normally dont mind the guy.....
-
some of you may recall i am one of the tribe. beware, tho, we are all sorceresses. ;)
-
A Sledge Hammer movie makes sense, so that's probably why it'll never happen. Get Smart was truly awful. Not funny!
-
Fuck that.
However, I occasionally watch the red band trailer because I find it so damn cool. I'm pumped for this film. -
She's the first weirdo dyke on record with (count 'em) TWO live-in boyfriends. One an older distinguished writer and the other a young hunk-ish artist. Not that I think she's concerned one bit with societal gender mores.
-
I'll go as far to say it doesn't look as interesting now.
-
at Yahoo. It's got Scarlet Jo. making out w/ Penelope Cruz.
http://movies.yahoo.com/trailers/ -
Pitt do that stupid dance for two hours. Cracks me up every time I see it.
-
...that got my attention. Mmm...Scarlett. Oh, um, when are the Coen's going to cast her in one of their movies?
-
seen "the man who wasn't there" lately?
-
cool music, cool cast, it's the Coens. I'm excited.
-
Anyone know?
-
not a fucking clue... and yet I loved this trailer. Lot's o' fun. :)
-
And seeing Brad Pitt doing something Floyd-esque again would be GREAT.
-
NOW MORE THAN EVER!
-
For anyone who was wondering, it's "Grounds for Divorce" by Elbow. Great track.
-
Kudos to whoever made the trailer for putting an Elbow track in there. And a fucking good one at that. What a great band.
-
Guess I need to watch it again as her performance, evidently, didn't register with me. I'll give it another go and try to be more alert this time...old fart nods off at keyboard again...thunk!
-
Far from it though, yeah, she doesn't look like some collagen lip enhanced Hindenburg-sized-tits bimbo. In fact, she was cast in LotR as a woman thought to be the most beautiful on the planet. I wouldn't go that far but she has a natural beauty. Eye of the beholder mate and I can guess what your reply will be: Yeah, and she was also cast as Bob Dylan!
-
got off at Prince St. in SoHo. all day i tried to tell people but no one remembers Sledge Hammer. frustrating!!
-
"Hey look, I'm wacky and crazy! I'm hamming it up in a Coen Brother's film! What will I do next?!" The best part about humor Coen Brother's films is that it never seems like anyone is *trying* to be funny or quirky, it just sort of happens and you believe it's dry subtlety. Kind of seems like 'Pitt' is acting like an actor who can't wait to be a quirky character in a Coen Brother's movie and is forcing it rather than being a quirky character in a Coen Brothers movie.

Wow, looks horrible as usual, lazy Coens recycle more losers
by hatespeech
These brothers used to be avant garde, now they're lazy hollowwood hacks. ANd come on, Brad Pitt? The most worthless actor in hollowweird?! Gross.
-
all i had to do was check out elbow on the itunes and holy shit, i have fallen in love. how did i miss this group? obviously i'm a troll. thanks for giving me some new music.
-
I only recently discovered them when "Forget Myself" was used in the Southland Tales trailer. Needless to say, one trip to iTunes and I was also hooked. Lots of their stuff is perfect for movie trailers.
-
Elbow's "Grounds for Divorce" from 2008's "Seldom Seen Kid" album.
Wow! Elbow on a Coen Brother's soundtrack??? I know that trailer music isn't indicative of the final cut, but to have a relitavely little-known band from Bury, England attached to a global trailer?!?!! COME ON!!
