I for one would like to see Voight as a hardass bad guy and not just the "doddering/dignified old guy" character he seems to play in all his recent films. This sounds like it has potential.
-
Cuz last season was a game killer.
-
JACK SACK! THE JACK SACK IS BACK BITCHES! THE JACK SACK IS BACK!
-
still in effect? Or are they scrapping the 7 eps they shot and starting from scratch? By far the biggest victim of the writer's strike. I miss my Power Hour dammit!
-
I will look forward to it.
-
Voight > Hopper?
-
I'm loving where this is going as season 6 was a absolute dreg
-
they made a movie of bratz. goodbye sweet america.
-
9/11 fucked with too many peoples heads....voight and miller should both be locked away somewhere and reeducated
-
Remember the 24 Formula: fake villain for the first half, the real villain is then revealed.

what I don't get about the Blade Runner they keep promo'ing
by theseeker7
When the latest super super uber-special edition came out on regular DVD, wasn't it a 5 disc set? I'm almost sure it was. So, on Blu-Ray now, if there's supposed to be such a huge leap in storage space on there, how come even on *that* it's 5 discs? I would think 5 BR discs has to get me about 10 feature films length worth of material, all told.
-
The badassery never ends. It just picks right up where Powers Boothe left off.
-
Ten seconds of Keifer running and then cut to the bad guy!
-
You know it to be true. What else could have fucked the chick up so badly?
-
Yeah, the bad guy list is racking up quite heavily now. Tony Todd, Zombie Almedia, Jon Voight.
Sure the finest (season 2 IMO) of 24 were ensemble pieces but you just hope they've learnt from season 6's lame 'Jack Bauer and Friends' hour, where much of the time was time pissing round with ridiculous subplots you couldn't give a monkeys about (Jack and his brothers wife, Chloe and Morris, the shit way to crowbar Logan back in for a cameo only to semi-kill him off) -
You have no idea how much it saddens me that someone's first mental association with Jon Voight's name is Transformers. It's like name-dropping Robert Deniro and you go 'oh, the guy from Hide and Seek'? (slaps forehead). Not that Jon Voight can even remotely be compared to Deniro, but you get the point.
-
I hope he's the main bad guy, it's more badass that way. Jon Voight's a good actor, but Bauer could kick Voight's ass any day. They need someone like Tony to be the main villain.
-
I'd also hope for a season two style story. Maybe a bit more of the action they bought in around four.
We already who of a few too many bad guys though. I'd have sooner been led to believe Voight had been cast as a Universty Professor only to find he was a criminal mastermind after he killed Chloe.
That's how 24 would've done it back in the day. I look forward to the move though, of course.
*Fist up* Power-Hour Forever. -
What no Ned Beatty? No Hillbillies? LMAO awe too bad. Would be crazy.
-
this is gonna be dignified crazy old Voight and not hippie crazy old Voight?I think the key is how they're going to explain Zombie Almeida. If it reeks in the slightest, the whole ship will go down and join the wreckage of season 6 in the Mariana Trench.

If Angelina was your daughter, you'd treat her like Ned Beatty

"Squeal little piggy!"
-
Best part of that movie.
-
How it gets explained plausibly will make or break this.
It'll be either:
"I was hurt/died/got better but was brought back to life after they put a sheet over me and now I'm super serially annoyed I don't get to bang michelle all season"
or
"Hi Jack, yeah ermm Henderson broke into my room and staged a fight that you walked in on. We were pretending obviously. He stabbed me really hard with a needle. The aim was to hide me from...ermm Henderson. Yeah. So I totally pretended to die in your arms, and wasn't fussed when they chucked a sheet over me".
The first is more likely, but surely they'll do that with Logan too? -
If you have to make the mortgage being a right wing schill, at least take part in something with high production value.
-
is a raging tool
-
Wow.
-
he better be a fake villain, otherwise, this just ruins all the possible suspicion.
and wtf, almeida, if it's not a sci fi explanation, BS. -

Excellent point, comrade.
Those who disagree with our superior perspective must be silenced. How soon until the re-education camps are ready, my friend?
Besides, it was McChimpyBushHitler©...or maybe "The Jooooooos©" who perpetrated 9/11, right?
You, sir, are an asshat.
With all my love to bacci40.

Oh, and this sounds like some sweet casting. I'm there like I've been there since the beginning...through good and, really, quite awful seasons. -
...that is all.
MT -
Jon Voight to star in a camcorder produced video at my 4th of July party. His salary will be $5.Seriously, this guy will be in anything these days.

Will he play his character from The Legend of Simon Conjurer?
by macgruder
because that really shows how much his career has gone in the gutter.
If hes the bad guy that leaves me hope that Tony is just doing this for some undercover gig he has. Tony cant be a real bad guy can he?
Anyway its cool to see a big name like Voight do the villain role.
-
So after episode 8 everyone's suddenly going to look a year older with different hairlines??? Mwahaha. I AM craving for more 24 now. They should have just shown us the first two episodes of season 7 or something just to whet our appetite.
-
It starts very respectable, and then right after Mission: Impossible, its nothing but garbage. On purpose? Heat...Transformers.
-
Remember how those first four of season six got on-line at the beginning of 2007? I saw them and the weekend after that I started a journey around the world for the next year. Believe me, you do not want to wait for 24 a whole year, not after those episodes. Okay, the follow-up to that opening was weak, but still there was this feeling that I wanted the ones after the first four NOW AND THEN!!!
-
The ad was simply a myriad of bad reviews for the movie all culled together. I just thought it was hilarious that people actually paid to design and place an ad that was exclusively attacking a film that people probably knew was bad to begin with.
-
Actually it would be funnier if they didn't.
-
and tearfully plead for Jack to return to him?Voight's appearance on (I believe) Entertainment Tonight, no less, pleading to Angelina to contact him was one of the strangest things I've seen.
-
Ya der hey!
-
Jack Bauer's other dad.
-
No mention of his iconic role in Varsity Blues as Bud Kilmer!?!? GO PACK!! Son, you are f*cking up my universe!
-
Look at that resume. He's turned into a real-life Troy McLure.
-
Right? I seem to recall Lonesome Dove?
-
Classic couple episode arc.
-
Said the following about jon voight in Anaconda: Jon Voight has a leer and what a leer it is. it is a leer among leers. it is a king leer.
-
Donald Sutherland. He should have played Jacks father, maybe they can work him in for a cameo as Chloe's father
-
u fuckin dick head. why not just say "find out who is going to be the main baddie on 24" instead of putting it in the title? NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO KNOW you faggot. got damn, what the hell is wrong with you people? how long have u been doin this site and u dont realize how people feel about 24 and spoilers? got damn morons.
-
Don't suck here. And I hope Tony is isn't the "fake" bad guy. I wanna see a 24 baddie last a whole season for once.
-
Tiring of his son Ben Gates (played by Nicolas Cage) getting all the accolades from discovering our nations most secret treasures, Patrick Gates (Voight) lures Jake Bauer(Sutherland) to find out the mystery of page 47 in the presidents book of secrets before his son does. A suspenseful romp around the globe ensues. Ultimately ending with Ben's nipples being electrocuted off by Jack.
-
With the fucking drivel that's on tv, I miss this show. Please, please, please let it just be a bit insane, no more CTU bullshit. And I hope the movie is decent too.
