Father's Day WALL*E Screening Winners!!!
Hey folks, Harry here... I would just like to thank everyone that wrote in for the WALL-E screening. The past few days - as I've read the 1000 + submissions - I'd just like to say... THANK YOU. It was like reading the soul of fandom... the dreams, the memories and the nostalgia. Choosing the "winners" wasn't easy - Sometimes it was as simple as mentioning 3 robots from Silent Running... other times... it was reading about a man and his family in Mexico testing and innovating the next generation of Hybrid vehicles so that we don't have a WALL-E future. But the love and the passion for the speculative medium of Science Fiction had a beating heart in your emails - and you all absolutely deserved to make it in.
Sadly - Not everyone could. That said - the winners below all did an exceptional job of writing and illustrating their passion for Sci-Fi.
I would like to say - welcome aboard. The screening is at THE ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE SOUTH on South Lamar here in Austin, Tx. If you didn't win - and you're a Fantastic Fest Badge Holder - there are 50 remaining tickets available so keep your eyes peeled for that opportunity soon - via Facebook, no doubt.
The screening is at 7pm - I would recommend getting to the Drafthouse no later than 6pm - just so you can get in line and start getting excited - because you folks are going to be the first public audience to see WALL-E!!! Holy Shit that's cool!

Awesome... Thank You Harry! I made the list, and I am STOKED. I didn't tell the wife about this screening because I didn't want to get her hopes up, but she's going to squeal like a droid when I tell her we're seeing this early!

I'm new to the whole screening process at the Alamo. Since my name's on the list, does that mean I have to wait in line and pay for my ticket or is this screening completely free to the winners listed above?

The AICN Alamo screenings are usually free, but get there early as it will be packed. Bring extra cash for food and beer because they have an awesome menu. The $5 shake is amazing. They usually have themed meals for special events. What will they do for Wall-E? - you got me there. But it will be interesting, I'm sure.
