Sarah Paulson, perhaps best known as Matthew Perry’s love interest on Aaron Sorkin’s “Studio 60,” will play psychoanalyst Claire Allen in “Cupid,” Rob Thomas’ pilot and intended remake of his own beloved but short-lived 1990s romantic comedy hourlong. Paula Marshall played Claire in the original. Bobby Cannavale plays what used to be the Jeremy Piven role of Trevor Hale, who thinks he’s the god of romance.
