Judd Apatow’s third movie as director following “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” and “Knocked Up” will be set in the world of stand-up comedy, the filmmaker tells mtv.com. The untitled feature shooting this September, which stars Apatow’s old roommate Adam Sandler as well as regular Apatow players Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann, centers on a pair of comics – and is described as the director’s most grown-up effort to date. From mtv.com:

"It's a comedy, but it has more drama in it. A hilarious drama is what I'm going for," Apatow said. "Every movie, I'm trying to find a way to go deeper, to tell stories about subjects that are important and make them less and less broad while making them equally as funny. [This film is] another step in that progression.
