Movie looks tits.

Hilarious Trailer, though. I am a big fan of the cast...and the music used in the trailer, "I Got a Line on You" by Spirit...
-
4th!
-
Looks great! Very Lebowski-esque.

-

-

I love how the Coens will follow up their more serious work or darker comedies with more madcap fare. Kind of like how Lebowski came out right after Fargo. What a one two punch combo those films were. I think the Coens are back.

to see Brad Pitt in. He's kinda been playing it easy it seems for a while, (sure Babel was a good role)but this is something he excels at. It's been a while sense he's played a character that's unique, but it works the best when he can play against his looks. Overall this movie looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see it.
-
Would you not agree, my bastard children?
-
Looks absolutely awesome. Who that dude that looked like Sledge Hammer?
-
I am a fan of his incredibly brief role in True Romance. "Don't condescend to me, man. I'll fuckin' kill ya' man."

Pitt in True Romance was inspiration for Pineapple Express
by jackrabbitslim
I know this because Entertainment Weekly told me it. So its probably not true.

...to all the iTune haters complain. Losers.

Fantastic cast, though. Good to see Frances back!

Classic Coens. Love it.
Pitt looks hilarious. -

If I wanted to download iTunes, I would cklick on a button that says something like "Download iTunes" and not the one that implies that I can wath the trailer there :P
-
And the trailer is fucking hilarious!
-
Is it just me, or has Pitt officially ceased aging, and is quite possibly getting younger, to boot?
-
...But the movie looks like its going to be another Intolerable Cruelty which is NOT A GOOD THING.
I'll wait to rent this. But I will DEFINITELY be seeing Benjamin Button in the theaters. That looks like another Fincher masterpiece. Either way it looks like its going to be a great year for Brad Pitt. -
That was awesome! Looks like a nice mix of Lebowski and Arizona. And the only time I like Brad Pitt is when he cuts loose. The dude has a rather unsung gift for comedy.
-
Intolerabl Cruelty (which I love) all over again. Yay!

Intolerabl Cruelty (which I love) all over again. Yay!
-
the ensemble back after the newcomers of NCFOM. Not that the movie wasn't fucking awesome, but just seeing Richard Jenkins, Frances, Clooney, JK Simmons in that trailer makes me happy
-
that Pitt's portrayal of Floyd is so well regarded. he stole every scene he was in.

It's a trailer cut for the mainstream, rather than Coen fans
by palimpsest
but I'm there anyways. Even bad Coens is better than 95 percent of the fuked (as is 'fridge-nuked' a contraction indicating something that is both fucked, and past its prime - like Sharon Stone, say) output of contemporary Hollywood.
-
in regards to pitt, go watch jesse james, certainly not playing it easy or playing to his looks also see the benjamin button trailer
-
It's red band! This looks great. If it's as endlessly watchable/quotable as Big Lebowski then the Coen's are just too damn good to us.
-
Of course, most critics will shit all over this just because every "silly" Coen movie that follows a crtically acclaimed "serious" one always gets picked on and ignored at first, only to attain a steady cult following years later. NO ONE liked Lebowski a decade ago (even I found it kind of slight), but now EVERYONE quotes that movie incessantly. Hopefully Intolerable Cruelty will find a similar reevaluation soon. Burn AFter Reading looks hilarious, and it'll be fun to see a non-Roger Deakins Coen movie for the first time in 18 years.
-
His role in The Assassination of Jesse James has given him carte blanche to do any type of movie and I'll watch it. Christ that movie is an overlooked masterpiece.
-
Not jankin on your opinion or nothing rhcp....but I seriously had to turn that movie off halfway into it, it was sooo slow. Maybe it picked up afterward, oh well.
-
Meatbiscuit hates good looking celebrities...there goes the box office for this film!!
-
but I keep getting an error message that it could not download. Annoying. Especially because it will start downloading for few seconds and then give me the fucking error message.
-
Looks hilarious. I'll be there first day for this.
-
"my ain't we clever" syndrome which I file Intolerable Cruelty under, and to a degree, The Hudsucker Proxy (although Hud had a lot to like about it). Hopefully this is not one.
-
Looks like two hours of bliss. I honestly like Pitt best if he's playing those crazy over-the-top characters and this looks like one of them.
-
ala Twelve Monkeys. One of my favorite Pitt performances.

Why does everyone keep coming back to Intolerable Cruelty?
by pushthebutton
That one wasn't written by the Coens. Only directed.
-
Any movie that reunites Frances McDormand with the Coens gets my ticket money. But this really does look funny to me. I like Brad Pitt in comedic roles far more than dramatic ones, too. And J.K. Simmons = Gold. I even liked several parts of Intolerable Cruelty. I don't think it was as bad as people make it out to be, but I wouldn't touch The Ladykillers with a 10' stick.
Oh, and I agree about The 'Assassination of Jesse James' being a masterpiece. It definitely deserved a Best Picture nod over Juno or Michael Clayton (both of which I also liked). -
Is comedy gold.
-
David Rache. Best line: "Report back to me when uh... I don't know... when it makes sense."
-
I laughed so hard when Frances said "Where's the money!?" and Brad whines "HE DIDN'T GIVE IT TO ME!" I'm all signed up and ready to see this. Coen's don't ever stop making the good shit for us.
-
anyone know?
-
Why force us to download this trailer throught itunes when they are just quicktime files for fawksake?! Apple are one of the most restrictive and controlling companies out there but people keep drinking their koolade because their products are pretty.
-
This could be one the best movies ever made if the movie flows like that trailer. Every single thing showed was a must see scene for me. Could be truly epic. Add this next to The Dark Knight as one my most anticipated films.

Saw Lebowsky today actually, laughing my ass of again. Only thin

Los Coens are brilliant bastardos..
-
***POSSIBLE SPOILER*** Involving Malkovich, Pitt and an axe? Don't dare watch it again to check.. Damn I hate that. Looks good and old-school though.
-
steal every scene he is in from the looks of it. A return to his "12 Monkeys" and "Fight Club" days, as well as any of the "Oceans" movies. Glad to see that guy back.
-
I am Dr. Remulak
-
He was laughing. That's a good sign, right?
This looks like a lot of fun. And to the guy who mentioned the 'first non-Deakins Coen movie...', I hope that wasn't a shot. Roger Deakins is a fantastic DP. -
God damn it! When you post a link for a video, the video should start playing immediately. There shouldn't be some fucking window telling me to download itunes. itunes will never be installed on my pc again.
-
has to be one of the most underrated actors out there. He should have been nominated for Fight Club. That- zenned-out-ten-year-old-that's-hiding-in-your-id performance was unforgettable. He looks fucking hilarious in this and I can't wait to see Benjamin Button. I agree, this looks like a return to Lebowski humor. I like the whole cast in this. The only way it could be better is if they threw Jeff Bridges in this. My other favorite underrated actor.
-
Everything else looks like Classic Cohen. Lookin' forward to it!!!
-
if they aint back firing on all cylenders and with Johnny fucking Suede!!!
-
There's a kind of vaudvillian timing implicit in the script of most the Coen's dark comedies. The cast looks seperb and I have a feeling I'm going to be pleased with this moreso than say The Ladykillers.
-
Brad Pitt does come across as pretty bad in the trailer. But, I'm assuming that's the character and direction. I'm not saying Brad Pitt is Kirk Lazarus; but, he has proven himself very capable of being very good, and I trust the Cohen Brothers had a handle on things.
-
from me on this trailer. Maybe I'm just expecting too much from the Coens these days, but I can't help but find myself wishing for a "Big Lebowski" sequel in the absence of anything more entertaining.
