The Russian Trailer For WANTED makes me hate the MPAA & Domestic Trailer Creation!
Hey folks, Harry here... AB King just sent in this link - for a trailer on WANTED that is... literally... fucking awesome. And it is just so aggravating that it is the exact sort of trailer that the film needs, but would never be approved by the MPAA for showing to all audiences... and man, I'd put this trailer on KUNG FU PANDA and watch the brains melt. Notice - this trailer doesn't show a lame geeky kid barely keeping paces with an Uber-Angelina... No. It shows a badass doing badass shit - and in a single trailer - you begin to see the flair of Timur Bekmambetov, who I'd kinda kill to see helm the WWII Captain America movie - because he has a visceral holy fuck quotient like very few filmmakers today - and in this trailer - it is on full display. I'm hoping that WANTED annihilates peoples' brains into blissful mush. This trailer rules!

This took a long time to load. And also I'm not so sure some foreign markets wouldn't get harder R version than the US. But I could be wrong. Hard R would be the way to go with this and from this preview it looks that way. Thanks, Harry and AB King.

the ad link from the "Wanted" page goes to a Twilight Watch newsbit that says Morgan Freeman has been cast as the head of the American division of one of the Watches. It doesn't say whether he's day or night tho.. Interesting!

The Russian title for the movie, loosely translated, is "Especially Dangerous." Or maybe "Uncommonly Badass." Either one works well.<p> I liked the trailer. Kicks the right amount of ass.

meaning the massive stylized violence and the portrayal of the leading male as a badass instead of a "everyday loser/geek who just happens to violate the laws of physics and acts like a total pussy the entire time" appeals to me!!! Admittedly, very long string of words... but, come on, I can't be the only one getting tired of scrawny, weak-willed pussies suddenly becoming "Billy Badass" in the span of 15 minutes on film. The only thing so that made me come close to wanting to watch the flick was how this trailer presented the protagonist clearly having some balls, despite the fact they obviously cut every half-second to create that illusion... Come on, could any of you see Bronson or Eastwood being the male lead in this flick?

the 'benjamin buttons' trailer gave me the deep chills the way the pan's labyrinth trailer did...mmmmmm...yummmmmy. the 'wanted' trailer made me want to get plowed by james mcavoy while angelina watches. but that's a frequent sensation i have anyhow.

I've always thought studios should do more to make US movies play like home fodder oversees. Better dubbing usually means better B.O. I think the next frontier's gonna be using CGI to put translations in the on-screen writing. If a studio spends money making billboards in LA that are solely in Spanish just because that aud likes seeing signs with no English, just think how far the same money might go putting a better foreign imprint on the work print itself (plus it last longer than a billboard). side note it's always amusing to see how they have to translate a name when they don't have a sound we use here. No "J" in russian so it comes out "Indeeanna D-zhones"

In the domestic trailer, we only see AJ's bullet say "Goodbye". In Russian, it says "Forgive Me", or "Sorry" first.

The word on the bullet in the end of the new trailer is "farewell". The letters of the keyboard spelled one of the versions of "fuck you". Angelina IS popular in Russia. So is Morgan Freeman.

When watching one of those INCREDIBLE HULK clips, with super-soldier Roth fighting Hulk, I (like others) thought of Captain America. In the right hands, I really think this Marvel Universe can turn into something extra-special on the big screen.

are good. Sin City was OK the first viewing, but on a 2nd thought it didn't add anything to the comic besides the audio aspect. And 24 framers per second. This film looks to be a gunpornfest. Fine if you want to relax and just be entertained for 2 hours.

After the second watching: A printout says "Operation cannot be completed" The flying bullet in the action bit says "Goodbye" Morgan Freeman actually says: "The machine provides [the mission]. I relay it. You execute it." So, it's on. Look, I think Timur is an astute student of Fincher and Wachowskis, and a pretty good visual director. And that he's been able to produce the Nightwatch/Daywatch, looking like they do, on a shoestring budget, is also impressive. I am apprehensive of his plotlines and scripts, though. Anyway, hang on, I'll try to send Harry a review the minute I see it.

Once they took the supervillian angle out of the film that was in the book it was declared D.O.A. I'm going to send a strong message to the studios by not seeing this crap and telling others not to see it as well.

I don't understand why anyone'll want to see a faithful adaptation of the comic? From the trailer it looks like they took the core cool thing from the comic and turned it into something better. But shit, the comic was kind of crap.

The director is awesome, for those not too familiar with his work got rent "DayWatch" and "NightWatch" (vampire flicks)... he has a very foreign way of directing kinda like whats his name that directed "City of Lost Children" and "Amelie" and also "Alien 3"... I expect this to be very entertaining and FUCK THE COMIC (Geeks) the director knows his stuff if he didnt follow the comic to a T there was a reason! go see this movie and allow yourself to be entertained!
