Want To See What The DOLLHOUSE Looks Like??

It turns out The Dollhouse in Joss Whedon’s futuristic sci-fi drama “Dollhouse” (coming to Fox in January) looks perhaps less like a dollhouse and more like a Japanese spa.
The guy on the left is a suspicious FBI man, played by Tahmoh Penikett, who also plays Karl “Helo” Agathon on “Battlestar Galactica.”
The folks in the middle are the Kens and Barbies of the piece, beings who can be imprinted with complex talents and personalities, then wiped clean (and perhaps deprived of footwear) after they complete their assignments. If I remember correctly, their names are Victor, Echo and Sierra. Eliza Dushku, who worked with Whedon on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel,” stars as the brunette Echo.
The folks on the right run Dollhouse, which is apparently a corrupt and supersecret government agency. The one in the vest is Fran Kranz, who starred in the just-cancelled sitcom “Welcome to the Captain.” The one in the dress is Olivia Williams, of “Sixth Sense” and “Rushmore” fame. The one in the suit is Harry Lennix, who was in the “Matrix” sequels. (Whedon loves “Galactica” and thinks “The Matrix” is maybe his favorite movie ever.) Not pictured is Amy Acker (“Angel”), who has a recurring role as another Dollhouse employee.

Its a whedon series, so we can be sure no matter the quality it will hailed as the second coming by the Whedonites. The casting doesn't inspire confidence though. The barefooted dude looks like a Douche bag. I have the distinct urge to punch him and I have no idea why.

...look like they just remodeled Wolfram & Hart. I think Joss is doing this show quick and dirty and not losing too much sleep over the details... which is a smart bet. If the show sticks and Fox supports it, more thought can be into it later...

I just read somewhere that Dushku had to try hard to convince do this show. He was actually recommending other people to her.

Why not just cast *real* actors in this, though? Okay, okay, joke. But that's a heavily photoshopped pic, though! The trailer looks pretty good, although I can't believe nobody's picked up on the fact it's just Joe 90 en masse :) If you ask me, Fringe has the best trailer, but this comes a close second. And the concept feels fresher -- can't quite believe JJ Abrams' Fringe has X-Files-esque credentials *and* a Lost-style plane disaster in its Pilot!! And I'm sure every character will be interlined via big coincidences :)

the inside of Wolfram and Hart the last season of Angel. Maybe they got a deal on sets. I'll give it 3 episodes to grab my attention. Still very leary, not because of the talent, because of evil known as FOX. Oh, and they're barefoot so they can walk on our backs to give us massages.

And I have to disagree with the idea that Dichen Lachman is a "hot Asian." Honestly, she is easily one of the least hot Asians in a string of thousands of Asians that I have known and seen. Distinctive, yes, but hot, absolutely not. At least not in that photo.
PS - I hope this show catches on. -
Are the programmers of these personalities and talents going to make the extra effort to include witty banter and snarky asides, even if it means working overtime? I'm betting they are. This is why our government is so far in debt.

I've met Dichen Lachman - shhe is indeed hot. people aren't used to Nepalese looks though which are very different to a lot of the other Asian races. Suffice it to say people who are dispariging her looks on Aint it Cool News are probably not living by the People in Glass Houses rule.

J/K. That dude kicks ass in whatever he's in and I'm glad he's getting some work. I love the way he walks in BSG too, like he has a serious dump to take and NO ONE SHOULD STAND IN HIS WAY, or essentially the Triple H runway walk x100.

Joss' shows being cancelled has NOTHING to do with the fact that he barely writes at a fifth grade level, his actors all sort of suck, his dialog is childish snarky poo, and the only people who bother to watch his shite are the same people who say "kthxbai" and pronounce "LOL" out loud in conversation with their cosplaying friends.
Whedon sucks. The reason his shows are cancelled is because they don't find an audience beyond the hardcore Whedon ball-garglers, and despite appearances, there aren't enough Whedonites to get decent ratings-- Besides, the advertisers have no idea what to sell to Whedonites. How do you get a boost in revenue from people who put all their money into finding the right buttons to make their Spike costume "authentic" ? -
You are correct. God only knows why I called it that. Although, when you have the scene of the dog Bouncer dreaming about getting married then I'm not sure soap even covers it.

And she's a really cool person besides. I'm really pulling for this show. Hopefully the return to Whedonville will be fried gold after the misfire that was "Tru Calling" (which was not her fault since all they made her do each episode was run run run).

I think 'crap' covers it pretty well, though even that may not be a strong enough term sometimes. And anyway, who says dog dreams equal bad plotting? Wes Craven thought it was perfectly logical to have the dog in Hills Have Eyes 2 have a full on flashback, after all. And it's not like that was the dumbest thing ever. Oh, wait, yes it was...

Y'know, Joss Whedo said he wanted to write for GLOBAL FREUNECY back when the pilot was made? THAT would have been the 100% PERFECT SCI-FI SHOW. It would have peaked, right there. All else would have been less than. -
