I am – Hercules!!


It turns out The Dollhouse in Joss Whedon’s futuristic sci-fi drama “Dollhouse” (coming to Fox in January) looks perhaps less like a dollhouse and more like a Japanese spa.

The guy on the left is a suspicious FBI man, played by Tahmoh Penikett, who also plays Karl “Helo” Agathon on “Battlestar Galactica.”

The folks in the middle are the Kens and Barbies of the piece, beings who can be imprinted with complex talents and personalities, then wiped clean (and perhaps deprived of footwear) after they complete their assignments. If I remember correctly, their names are Victor, Echo and Sierra. Eliza Dushku, who worked with Whedon on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel,” stars as the brunette Echo.

The folks on the right run Dollhouse, which is apparently a corrupt and supersecret government agency. The one in the vest is Fran Kranz, who starred in the just-cancelled sitcom “Welcome to the Captain.” The one in the dress is Olivia Williams, of “Sixth Sense” and “Rushmore” fame. The one in the suit is Harry Lennix, who was in the “Matrix” sequels. (Whedon loves “Galactica” and thinks “The Matrix” is maybe his favorite movie ever.) Not pictured is Amy Acker (“Angel”), who has a recurring role as another Dollhouse employee.
